About the role:

You will be working for Advance London service as an experienced Domestic Housing Manager, responsible for overseeing the delivery of the London service. You will lead and manage the LWHSP project and the co-located IDVAs,

Being responsible for line managing and performance managing Regional Managers and project staff within the post holder’s responsibility, including annual appraisals and supervision.

Supporting Regional Managers to recruit, train and develop a team of competent and highly skilled IDVAs to provide a consistently high-quality service to women. Supporting IDVAs to ensure that Advance’s values, policies and procedures are embedded into service delivery.

Overseeing the management of caseloads and casework to a high-quality standard and monitoring the performance of your team, offering continuous coaching and feedback to ensure that Advance meets the specific KPIs and outcome measures for the contract, taking immediate action to manage poor performance as necessary.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Housing Manager you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring your management experience of providing services to women experiencing Domestic Violence and Abuse including VAWG. With a significant experience of managing, developing and leading teams across a geographically dispersed region and remotely, including harnessing the strengths and potential of staff at all levels, building a strong team culture and maintaining staff motivation, particularly through periods of change. You will have substantial delivery of collaborative working with external agencies, stakeholders, subcontracted partners and extensive management of frontline workers.

Main purpose of post
• Provide direct support to people affected by cancer by meeting in
person with or providing digital or telephone support to people using the
service (patients/clients, carers, relatives, professionals).
• Provide high quality information and support within defined level of
competence in relation to cancer. This will include assessment of service
users’ information and support needs (Holistic Needs Assessment/Cancer
Care Review), provision of written or verbal information, supportive
listening and action planning to facilitate self-management.
• Manage referrals from clinical teams in a timely manner, liaising with
clinical teams, primary care teams and community partners where
necessary.
• Provide care coordination around the individual to ensure their
experience of support feels seamless and is transparent, including
support from partner agencies.

What you do
Delivery of information and support to people living with and beyond cancer
and their families
• Provide information and support within level of competence of the post
(Macmillan Levels of Intervention Criteria L1,2,3,4; NICE approved four tier
model of psychological support Level 1, 2 & 3).
• This will include:
• Assess the needs of individuals attending / contacting the service and
identify the required level of intervention.
• Support users sensitively to help them understand clinical information
they have been given (e.g. around diagnosis, treatment, effects of the
illness and treatment, cancer terminology), helping to resolve situations
where users feel they have been given conflicting information. This will
include addressing concerns and queries and working to resolve them and
the ability to recognise and work within the limits of own competence and
responsibility is crucial, referring issues beyond these limits to relevant
people.
• Understand that there will be frequent exposure to distressing/ highly
distressing situations and deal with difficult and highly emotive situations
in a sensitive manner and base decisions on own professional judgement.
• Deal with service users with complex enquiries or support needs, or who
need help in accessing or understanding information, referring to
appropriate members of the wider clinical team (CNS, oncologist) when
appropriate or signpost them to other supportive services.
• Liaise with clinical staff to support patients and carers in distress.
• Demonstrate a high level of skill acquired through relevant training or
equivalent experience whilst demonstrating awareness of the limits of own
practice and knowledge and when to seek appropriate support/ advice.
• Provide supporting information around topics such as reducing the risk of
cancer, healthy living, diagnosis, treatment options, side effects and living
with cancer, in the most appropriate format (e.g. written, verbal, and others
as appropriate to overcome any barriers to communication).
• Provide advice on a range of issues e.g. benefits, travel insurance, and
facilitate access to services e.g. specialist benefits advice, complementary
therapy.
• Liaise with relevant staff at all levels as appropriate both within the charity
and externally to address issues identified, and seek advice with more
complex issues, directly involving others where necessary, e.g. Clinical Lead
(HCP), Cancer Information and Support Advisors, Head of Cancer Support
Services; Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS).
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships
with partner organisations in primary and secondary and the voluntary the
sector via networking, also giving talks and presenting at relevant groups.
• Plan and deliver ‘pop-up’ information clinics, ensuring these pop-up clinics
are evaluated.
• Lead the development and delivery of courses and workshops.
• Lead peer support groups and service-user involvement.

Operational Delivery
• Collect and collate data regarding contacts with people who use the
service both in person and by telephone and produce reports of activity as
required.
• Plan and organise events and displays externally liaising with departments
and agencies as required.
• Lead discrete projects or service improvements under direction of the
Head of Cancer Support Services
• Work flexibly to deliver the objectives of the cancer support service,
including attending events and outreach sessions across South Yorkshire,
North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw.
• Ensure service user participation in development of the service, including
facilitating forums and meetings.
• Facilitate open and effective communication with multi-professional
teams, both internally and externally.
• Maintain systems and processes to promote a healthy, safe and secure
working environment and maintain accurate documentation and report
any concerns.
• Act as a role model by demonstrating expertise and maintaining
credibility, ensuring a positive image of Weston Park Cancer Charity is
maintained.

General Duties

We have established a number of high-profile strategic initiatives to help us advance our work towards a cure. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Research Programme Manager to support the successful ongoing delivery of these major initiatives and collaborate across the organisation and externally to maximise their impact. The primary focus will be managing the Blood Biomarker Challenge, working closely with colleagues at Alzheimer’s Society to ensure the ongoing success of the programme.

This role sits within the Strategic Programmes team in the Research Directorate, an ambitious, supportive and friendly team that funds the best research to transform the lives of people affected by all forms of dementia.  We’re looking for someone with strong programme management experience, a good eye for detail and who is excited by the opportunities in the dementia research landscape.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Lead the delivery of the Blood Biomarker Challenge research programme:

· Oversee project delivery, tracking progress against milestones and KPIs, managing risks and keeping partners updated

· Ensure finances are effectively managed, working with the Research Funding and Finance teams

· Coordinate internal workstream leads to ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments

· Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders involved with the programme to maximise its success

· Implement robust and proportionate review processes

· Lead the preparation of papers and briefings for meetings

Support the development and management of new strategic initiatives within the team

· Maintain up to date knowledge of developments in the global dementia research field to support the development of new initiatives

· Implement robust project management skills to support the establishment of new initiatives and their ongoing monitoring

· Work closely with the Research Involvement Manager to integrate best practices in patient involvement and co-production where required

Strengthen relationships within the dementia research community

· Attend meetings and events to build relationships and promote our strategic programmes

· Work with the Partnerships Manager to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships that could complement the programmes you manage

What we are looking for:

· First degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science

· Proven experience managing large programmes of work, preferably in the healthcare, research or charity sector

· Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities, overseeing budgets and identifying risks

· Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholder groups and third-party suppliers and build strong, effective and productive relationships

· Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

The Role 

Fundraising and Impact Coordinator

o Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising applications, events and community initiatives

o Support the management of event logistics, including participant communication, volunteer coordination, and on-the-day activities

o Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations and build strong relationships for future collaboration

ARUK: Towards A Cure, our strategy to 2033, sets out our path towards a cure. It defines the changes we want to see for people affected by dementia and identifies the unique role we play.

We are currently mid-way through the first 3-year cycle of our 10-year strategy. Reporting to the Head of Programme Management, the newly created role of Strategy Manager will take the lead in managing and evolving our in-year strategic planning and progress reporting frameworks—ensuring they stay dynamic, effective, and aligned with our broader growth ambitions.  They will also ensure that ARUK’s strategy remains forefront of employee’s minds and embedded in teams’ work, building effective relationships with teams across ARUK.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategic Reporting

· Manage engagement with Heads of Department, programme leads, and key stakeholders to shape and align in-year milestones across strategic initiatives, ensuring cohesive delivery of organisational priorities.

· Conduct high-level analysis of milestone data to identify strategic opportunities, interdependencies, and key internal and external drivers. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to build support for integrated ways of working and ensure consistent communication across teams.

· Deliver strategic progress reporting at key intervals throughout the year, monitoring progress against milestones. Present key findings and forward-looking recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and Heads of Department to inform decision-making.

· Develop clear, engaging, and informative reports for internal audiences that effectively communicate progress and priorities, helping to ensure the successful delivery of ARUK’s strategy.

· Proactively identify emerging risks to strategic delivery, assess their implications, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders on mitigating actions and contingency planning.

Supporting the Delivery of Our Organisational Strategy

· Manage the coordination of ARUK’s annual planning and budgeting process in collaboration with the Head of Programme Management and Director of Strategy & Governance. Take day-to-day ownership of the process, ensuring effective communication and engagement across all levels of the organisation.

· Work closely with the Head of Programme Management and key stakeholders to assess and improve organisational structures and ways of working, with a focus on enhancing cross-team collaboration and the effectiveness of strategic working groups.

· Undertake horizon scanning and sector research to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to strategy development and delivery.

We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. The Role

This role will be pivotal in connecting Cosmic with the families we support and our NHS units across both hospital sites, by managing service delivery and fostering continuous engagement. The postholder will lead and coordinate our new Post-Discharge Support service, working closely with families, the NHS Family Liaison Team, and counsellors. They will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of service delivery projects - focusing on the experiences and impact on both NHS staff and families - while ensuring efficiency and value for money through careful cost assessment.

NHS Engagement & Relationship Management

▪ Build strong partnerships with PICU and NICU teams to embed Cosmic’s presence, raise awareness, and identify areas for support.

▪ Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and deliver projects that improve patient, family and staff experiences - maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of funding needs.

▪ Liaise directly with families on the units to understand their needs and explore how Cosmic can offer practical and emotional support, helping to build trusted relationships and inform future service development.

▪ Organise engagement activities and events to promote Cosmic across the units, ensuring consistent branding and visibility.

▪ Represent Cosmic at senior staff hospital meetings, forums and working groups, sharing feedback and opportunities with the wider team.

Engagement Campaigns

▪ Create, promote and mobilise staff on our units to deliver a yearly schedule of engagement campaigns. Work with staff to develop new and existing campaigns; creating and implementing the plans as appropriate.

Post Discharge Support Project

▪ Manage development and delivery of Cosmic’s new pioneering family support service after intensive care.

▪ Develop, in partnership with the units, service delivery models that include services provided, and their impact.

▪ Develop project budgets with the COO, monitoring and evaluating them to ensure projects are delivered on budget.

▪ Oversee ongoing evaluation and development of the service to ensure it meets targets and desired outcomes.

▪ Work with our supporters and past patients and families in the development of projects and services.

▪ Work closely with the Family Liaison Nurse, who will interact directly with families benefiting from the service, to ensure their needs and experiences inform the ongoing development of the project.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

▪ Develop and implement data metrics and gathering points to measure and analyse the impact of Cosmic’s services, supporting outcomes reporting and strategic decision-making.

▪ Utilise strong IT skills for database modelling and data interpretation, ensuring timely data capture in collaboration with clinical staff to enhance service delivery and promote awareness.

▪ Monitor and report on the impact of Cosmic’s work to support funding efforts and improve overall effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support shop managers and teams to exceed sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Drive growth through innovative merchandising, promotions, and community engagement.
• Oversee operational excellence across all sites, ensuring compliance, cleanliness, and consistency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Income to identify and launch new shop locations.
• Use data and insight to inform decisions, monitor performance, and maximise profitability.
• Play a key role in delivering our strategic goal to increase voluntary income by 50% over five years.

About you:

• Proven experience in multi-site retail management (charity retail experience a bonus)
• A track record of driving income growth
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop remote teams
• Experience of managing large budgets and performance analytics
• A passion for community engagement and a commitment to our values
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
