They have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join their GDASS Team in Gloucester. This role provides day to day management and supervision for the IDVA team and staff co-located within the Social Care Gloucester Multi Agency Team (GMAT) and Health contracts within the Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service. The post will also provide cover for management of support workers when other managers are absent and a point of reference for any management issues.
As the successful candidate, you will manage the performance of support staff in delivering contracted outputs and requirements, and carrying out their specialist areas of activity as well as promote within the team, objectives for the delivery of the team action plan and monitor progress.
You will also represent this service and the Company at network meetings, deputising for the Service Manager as required.
For this role, it is essential that you have specialist knowledge around high risk domestic abuse and maintain up to date knowledge of issues related to domestic abuse and housing and support.
Knowledge of the criminal and civil justice systems is also required for this role.
You will be able to deal with complex cases and provide support to staff regarding these and have a strong understanding and commitment to Equality and Diversity.
You must be capable of making decisions quickly and effectively around risk and around options available to those experiencing high risk domestic abuse.
