Titchwell Marsh is a wetland site abundant in a variety of wildlife including passage and migrant birds. In addition, it is known for other biodiversity including invertebrates and small mammals. Titchwell Marsh is a busy visitor destination, popular all year round with bird watchers, nature lovers and people wanting a quiet ‘get away’ from city life.
Our other reserve at Snettisham is a globally important estuarine habitat and is well known for its two nature spectacles, the dawn flights of Pink-footed Geese in winter and the whirling wader spectacles in late summer and Autumn. This wild landscape is unstaffed with minimal development to retain its natural appeal. In addition to being a hot spot for tens of thousands of waders, it is also an important site for ground nesting birds and is part of a conservation project to protect nesting Ringed Plovers.
