About the role

Do you live in the Kent, Sussex or Surrey area, have excellent local knowledge and the enthusiasm to build a fundraising patch?  

We’re launching a brand-new role focused on developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with new supporters. If you love connecting with people and want to make a difference for people affected by breast cancer, we’d love to hear from you.

Initially offered as an 18-month contract (with the potential to become permanent), this position will play a key part in an exciting pilot programme designed to grow long-term income through a new, locally based relationship fundraising team.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million. You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region – driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities and celebrating the incredible generosity of supporters.

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Kent, Sussex, or Surrey area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London office.

About the Role

This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Manager role will work with The Income Generation Manager, The Fundraising and Communications Team and the Senior Leadership teams to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively planned, developed, and implemented. As the Fundraising and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for supporting the growth of unrestricted income across individual and major donor as well as managing our corporate, and community fundraising.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of fundraising and engagement activities incorporating culture for sustainability and growth for the organisation. You will create and deliver inspiring campaigns, optimise donor journeys, and ensure excellent supporter stewardship. Bridge 5 Mill is a centre of social change in a historic 5 storey mill on the edge of Ancoats / Northern Quarter, comprising workspaces and event spaces. Our unique sustainable and ethical approach characterises our building and drives all our activities. Bridge 5 Mill is part of a family of organisations (part of the Fairfield Environment Trust, a registered charity) including the Kindling Trust, promoting ecological and social justice through a broad range of projects. 

We have just fixed our broken lift. This is great news, as the period without a lift had a significant impact on our community of tenants, wider users and on our income from venue hire (with far fewer events able to take place during this time). This came on the tail of the Covid pandemic, which transformed how and when people use workspaces and events spaces. 

We are now at a pivotal time to rebuild both our events program and our offer as a beautiful, ethical and central venue to hire, as well as exploring how to diversify our services. You will be an instrumental part in the development and growth of our activities and in overcoming these  recent challenges.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a small dedicated team to help us deliver our vision. Alongside the Building Manager, your role will cover day to day operations, reception, events and marketing. You will be central to supporting events and our hirers, promoting our social change vision, and making Bridge 5 Mill a thriving community hub. The Role

As Events Virger, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of services and events. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and resetting the Cathedral for services, concerts, and special events. Assist with the setting up and removal of all content and furnishings requested for this activity.
• Opening and closing the Cathedral on a rota basis.
• Ensure the efficient cleaning of the Cathedral with effective use of time and materials and without the need for supervision (the team of Virgers are responsible for all the Cathedral cleaning).
• To be on duty, in accordance with the rota, on Sundays, Festival Days and other occasions, in addition to other routine duties.
• Maintain vestments, altar furnishings and vessels and prepare them for all Services.
• Operating sound and lighting systems as needed.
• Support and assist Chaplains, Guides and other volunteers as required.

We’re launching a brand-new role focused on developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with new supporters. If you love connecting with people and want to make a difference for people affected by breast cancer, we’d love to hear from you.

Initially offered as an 18-month contract (with the potential to become permanent), this position will play a key part in an exciting pilot programme designed to grow long-term income through a new, locally based relationship fundraising team.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million. You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region – driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities, and celebrating the incredible generosity of supporters.

About you

With good community fundraising experience, you bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in people and relationship building.

You’re confident in approaching new contacts and are experienced in developing new relationships from scratch which have delivered income in both the short and long term. Your approach to supporter stewardship is best in class and you've proven that you can take the initiative to make ideas happen.

Alongside these skills and your previous experience, you have the passion that will help grow engagement and income in your region.

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in Birmingham, Coventry, or the surrounding areas. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London or Sheffield offices.

Are you passionate about bringing people together to support a great cause? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Community Fundraiser to join our team and help grow support for our vital work across the community.

Working closely with our Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll play a key role in inspiring individuals, schools, groups, and volunteers to get involved and give back. You’ll be proactive, creative, and confident in building strong relationships that boost both income and community engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engaging with local groups, schools and individuals - whether by phone, in person, or at events to increase income
• Coordinate and grow our collection pot network, ensuring regular collections 
• Support our amazing fundraising groups and individual supporters, generating publicity for their activities to enhance visibility and engagement. 
• Manage Just Giving and other online giving platforms for community events, and ensuring that donors and participants are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner
• Organise and support volunteers for events and campaigns as needed, making sure they feel valued and ready to help
• Respond to general telephone and in-person enquiries about donations and fundraising

About you

• Proven experience in community fundraising and volunteer management
• A strong understanding of relational fundraising and how to grow supporter networks
• Ability to manage and update budget/financial information to achieve income and expenditure targets
• Effective project management experience to take ideas from planning through to successful delivery
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
• Strong writing skills to create clear, timely reports and communications
• Confidence in networking and representing the organisation at all levels

CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent position, following completion of a 6-month probationary period, with a 35-hour working week.

SALARY: €60,869

BACKGROUND

Cork Simon Community works in solidarity with men and women who are homeless, offering housing and support in their journey back to independent living. It promotes a socially just society and campaigns for a society without homelessness.

Cork Simon is currently seeking a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to join its dedicated team.

THE ROLE

The Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in delivering the corporate fundraising element of Cork Simon Community’s Fundraising Strategy across both Cork and Southeast Simon Communities. The postholder will build on a strong base of warm corporate supporters while developing new partnerships that align with the organisation’s mission to support people experiencing homelessness. The successful candidate will lead the Corporate Partnerships Programme, developing and implementing engagement plans and working closely with colleagues across Services, Communications and Volunteering, as well as key external stakeholders in the region.

The ideal candidate will be a relationship-focused professional with experience developing and managing partnerships or client relationships and a proven ability to work to and achieve targets. They will bring excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, along with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
