Family Action is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Toy Appeal Campaign Assistant to play a vital role in our annual campaign to deliver over 10,000 toys and gifts to disadvantaged children. Main Responsibilities:

• Acting as a first point of contact for the Toy Appeal, responding in a timely and professional manner to company enquiries, as well as internal enquiries from service colleagues receiving gifts. 
• Managing data across multiple platforms/sources (including our CRM database, Salesforce, and Microsoft documents). Maintaining a live list of all gift requests from Family Action services/projects, and all gift pledges from companies, updating as matches are made and requests are filled. 
• Building positive relationships with corporate donors through written and verbal communications, including email, telephone and Teams meetings/in-person visits where appropriate. 
• Co-ordinating deliveries of gifts from corporates to local Family Action services/projects, ensuring needs and requirements of both parties are met. 
• Assisting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Fundraising Officer with donation processing and administration.

We’re currently looking for a Personal Assistant to the Group Chief Financial Officer and Director of Membership & Inclusion, offered on a fixed term basis until the end of January 2027 as maternity cover, to help us deliver our mission. The Role

What will I be doing?

You will provide high-quality Personal Assistant support to the Group CFO and the Director of Membership & Inclusion, ensuring their time is managed effectively and enabling them to deliver against the IOP’s strategic priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex diaries, ensuring effective prioritisation of commitments and forward planning
• Coordinating meeting preparation, including collating briefings and papers to the required standard and timelines

How will I be working?

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. 

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports around 3,600 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

About the Role 

This is a key role supporting the transformation of communications across the Foundation. You will help shape how we engage, inspire and connect with priority audiences, ensuring our messaging is clear, consistent and impactful. 

As Strategic Communications Lead, you will play a central role in evolving how we communicate - strengthening our organisational narrative and supporting a shift towards more proactive engagement with new audiences, including colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group and wider stakeholders. 

This is a hands-on role with strategic influence. You will support the development of communications campaigns, processes and ways of working, while leading the delivery of the Foundation’s new website as a core part of our digital transformation. 

About You 

We are looking for someone with strong experience in strategic communications, campaigns or content-led roles, ideally within a complex organisation. You will bring experience of supporting organisational change through communications, alongside strong digital and project delivery skills. 

You will be confident working across teams, managing external suppliers, and developing clear, engaging messaging for different audiences.

The Archbishops' Advisers for Appointments and Vocations (AAAV) team is a key team within the Office of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, supporting and advising the Archbishops and the wider Church on the nomination process for senior clergy. The team supports the work of the Crown Nominations Commission (CNC) on the nomination of Archbishops and Diocesan Bishops, those involved in nominating Suffragan Bishops and the selection panels who nominate new cathedral Deans, as well as any other appointments involving the Archbishops. The team supports senior clergy in their vocation and discernment, working to develop and equip a diverse pipeline of candidates for senior ministry roles. The team also works in partnership with others to ensure that senior clergy are equipped for leadership in the Church and the vital role it plays in the life of the nation.

This role provides an excellent opportunity of working in a small, friendly, committed, professional and busy team supporting a complex, detailed and fast-paced portfolio of senior appointments, vocational discernment and associated projects. We work as a close-knit team in beautiful surroundings, part of the Lambeth Palace community and Office of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, supporting each other with care, flexibility and good humour. 

The purpose of this role is to provide seamless, proactive support to the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments, ensuring their time, priorities, and workflow are protected and optimised. It also exists to act as a reliable presence within a busy team - stepping in to assist wherever it strengthens the overall operation. Ultimately, the role keeps the Archbishops' Secretary focused and the team functioning smoothly by being the connective, proactive and organised force that helps to hold everything together.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complex, efficient and strategic diary management involving multiple stakeholders and competing demands, including booking travel and accommodation.
• Being aware of the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments' objectives, priorities and views, communicating these appropriately and sensitively to external and internal stakeholders.
• Organising meetings and ensuring the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments is fully briefed and prepared in advance.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key contacts and their offices, keeping the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments updated, as appropriate.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of nomination processes involving the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments.
• Ensuring the timely processing of the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments' expenses and providing wider team financial administrative support.
• Receiving and greeting visitors and being an ambassador for the Archbishops' Secretary for Appointments and the wider team in welcoming guests.
