Your new role
The role is an interim Finance Coordinator. The role is expected to be for three months, but may extend for the right candidate. Duties will include:
- Maintain comprehensive project plans for Finance activities, monitoring progress, identifying any
delays or issues and providing regular updates on
project status and team alignment
- Act as a central point of communication within the
Finance team, facilitating effective information
sharing and collaboration
- Coordinate with various team members to ensure
alignment and adherence to project plans and
deadlines
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of project related
materials and communications
- Organise and schedule team meetings and followup
on action items
- Support with key events
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the
Finance director team, including activities such as
raising Purchase Orders and organising travel
arrangements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders,
resolving disputes and providing support
- Help to deliver continuous performance
improvements across the function
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need previous experience as a Finance Coordinator. Liaison with non-finance staff and excellent IT skills and organisational skills are essential.

Job Summary

Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering growth in voluntary income through our direct marketing acquisition programme utilising a range of campaigns and products, both online and offline. Products include one-off donations, regular giving (including value-exchange/ sponsorship products) and lottery. You’ll also be responsible for the development, implementation, day to day management, evaluation, and delivery of our acquisition portfolio. 

About You

• You will have experience of running effective national campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels
• Demonstrable, relevant experience including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities

About the Role

• Manage the delivery of acquisition campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes.

We’re looking for a part-time Grants and Trusts Officer (2.5 days a week). Our London, South-East & East Region has a new opportunity for an Executive Officer. You will be responsible for supporting effective grant-making across the region, helping us to distribute over £130m to good causes throughout the region.

POSITION SUMMARY

• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
• Collaborate closely with the ULI Europe Business Development and Membership team, ULI’s country directors, and the governance director to support the planning and implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy set by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee.
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors,, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Develop and manage internal processes for grant compliance, application tracking, reporting, and gift acknowledgement for ULI Europe.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Experience working in an operations, administration, or governance role within a UK or European charity, charitable trust, or foundation.
• Experience working in an international business environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

As the Manager of our Training & Prevention team you will lead and grow our Training & Prevention offer.

Carers Centre Tower Hamlets (CCTH) is a small, committed organisation dedicated to supporting unpaid carers through a variety of specialist services, from social and therapeutic activities to emotional, mentoring, advocacy, and signposting support. We aim to enrich and empower unpaid carers’ lives, providing them with the support they so selflessly give to others. We are now recruiting to our team someone who will lead on our work to support Carers as part of the Barnsley Street Mental Health Project. 

Project Overview:  

The Barnsley Street Project is a Community Mental Health Pilot aimed at delivering continuous, person-centred mental health care to underserved populations in PCN1 (Bethnal Green). This initiative is a collaborative effort between East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance (THMHA), and the Look Ahead Housing Association. Driven by the voice of lived experience, the project is designed to address the systemic gaps in mental health services, particularly for marginalised communities.  

Purpose of the role:  

To identify and coordinate an effective support service for unpaid carers who support residents who access the Barnsley Street Project, with the aim of supporting carers to have their needs met as well as develop a healthy and sustainable caring role.    

To facilitate access for unpaid carers in the Barnsley Street Project to appropriate support services, both statutory and voluntary. To provide comprehensive support and information to families and carers. To raise awareness of carers’ needs with professionals in the project environment and contribute to carer friendly policies.   

The post will involve the direct provision of services, referral to and between services, collaborative work with other local agencies and outreach work. The post-holder will provide advocacy, referral, and ongoing practical and emotional support to unpaid carers through individual and group work.    

Responsibilities: 

• Identification and Support: Proactively identify carers of residents who utilise the Barnsley Street Project, and provide them with tailored support, ensuring their well-being is prioritised. 

• Information and Guidance: Offer information about available resources, support services, and community networks to assist carers effectively. 

• Communication Liaison: Facilitate communication between clinical staff and carers, ensuring they are kept informed about the patient's condition, treatment plan, and any discharge process. 

• Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support to carers, listening to their concerns and offering a caring presence during difficult times. 

• Training and Education: Organise workshops and peer support groups to equip carers with essential skills for their caregiving role.

· When necessary, liaise on allocation of duties to other Trustees on a cooperative basis.

· Represent the charity at occasional public events and meetings with collaborative partners and in negotiations, e.g. NICE, ARTP, Sleep Clinics.

About the role

This role will support Kinship to operate as an effective charity by ensuring effective day-to-day operations and seamless delivery of the People function at the charity.

• Work with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Executive management team to design, develop and embed a high-quality HR function to support the employee life cycle.

• Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, and processes relating to people and culture, work effectively, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

• Responsible for all People matters, ensuring they are handled fairly and consistently in line with policies and procedures.

• Support and advise line managers on People, EDI and change management activities, including promotions, disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures.

• Organise line manager training to ensure line managers understand their responsibilities and apply policies consistently.

• Responsible for the candidates’ recruitment experience. Ensure candidates receive a consistent and professional recruitment experience.

• Responsible for job descriptions, person specifications, recruitment packs and job adverts.

• Ensure offboarding processes are robust and implemented consistently to safeguard the charity’s assets and to comply with Data Protection rules.

• Lead on the delivery and growth of the ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’ scheme, driving growth in the scheme and the number of bronze, silver and gold partners

• Ensure Kinship role models ‘Kinship Friendly’ employment practices and seek opportunities to share these as examples with other HR professionals.

• Support fundraising efforts with corporate supporters who are ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’

Vegan Corporate Projects Liaison

To advance PETA's work, particularly our promotion of vegan living, by initiating and delivering various special projects

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with the Director of Vegan Corporate Projects and Corporate Projects Manager to develop and manage a strategic plan for PETA's work with companies
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with corporations and institutions, and negotiate to improve/increase their vegan options while reducing/eliminating meat, dairy and eggs
• Work with caterers at major sports arenas in the UK to encourage them to expand and promote their vegan food offering
• Encourage chicken shop takeaways to have vegan chicken options on the menu
• Develop positive ways to reach farmers, farming organisations, and the public, to promote plant-based agriculture
• Ensure consistency and best practices in external communications
• Prepare and deliver presentations to executives
• Initiate and execute projects to encourage the public to try a vegan lifestyle
• Develop and make recommendations for ways to increase media coverage of vegan eating in order to help push it further into the mainstream
• Oversee, organise, participate in, and execute vegan-related awareness events
• Attend meetings in order to brainstorm and develop future projects
• Work with PETA's media and marketing teams to achieve maximum exposure for our corporate work
• Represent PETA's corporate campaigns to the media and the general public
• Travel to attend meetings or news conferences
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years' experience in advocacy, public relations, or corporate affairs
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations, address and overcome objections, and negotiate and close deals
• Proven exceptional organisational and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Knowledge of hospitality industry a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
