The Bikeability Trust is entering a new exciting phase of our strategy to 2035 to ensure more children can cycle with confidence. A year into our strategy we have reviewed Executive Team roles and responsibilities and are now looking for a creative Communications and Fundraising Director to lead our mission driven communications, income generation and impact reporting functions.

You will be an experience senior leader in communications, who has the drive to take our strategy to the next level. A key member of the Executive Team, working across the home based diverse staff team to bring together the impact of our work through corporate communications and influencing. Key responsibilities

Strategic communications leadership

· Acting as the brand guardian, oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality strategic communications, branding and media strategies aligned with WeProtect Global Alliance’s organisational objectives.

· Embed a global communications lens across the Alliance’s work, proactively identifying opportunities to amplify impact and reach priority audiences.

· Provide expert advice on positioning, proactive and reactive communications, and reputational management to shape the Alliance’s approach.

· Ensure communications is embedded in actions plans and lead on monitoring, evaluation and insight.

External communications & media

· Ensure strong visibility and consistent branding across all communications channels, reinforcing WeProtect Global Alliance’s role as a leading global voice on online child sexual exploitation and abuse.

· Increasing WeProtect Global Alliance’s visibility in regions and sectors, increasing global brand recognition and audiences across digital channels.

· Lead media engagement to achieve national and international coverage, including oversight of press materials, high-impact communications outputs, high profile event speeches and statements.

· Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality content across the website, social media and other digital platforms including hands on support as required.

Member engagement & participation

· Oversee communications functions, including engagement strategies, communications channels and digital platforms.

Senior management responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Communications to come and join our team providing maternity cover until January 2027 during a period of organisational growth.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and values-led Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead East London Waterworks Park in this next phase of our development. This is a rare opportunity to shape the first paid executive leadership role in a pioneering environmental charity.

As our new Chief Executive, you will collaborate with a dedicated Board and a strong, highly motivated team focusing on the following key areas of responsibility:

• Strategic leadership: Define an ambitious, values-led strategy and deliver it, securing long-term impact alongside sustainable financial growth.

• Growth & income diversification: Lead business development to diversify income streams, winning commissioned contracts and developing social-enterprise opportunities to reduce reliance on public commissioning.
• Partnerships & advocacy: Strengthen and sustain senior-level relationships across the NHS, local authorities, commissioners and the voluntary sector; represent Help & Care across systems, media and stakeholder networks.
• Service quality & impact: Embed rigorous monitoring and evaluation so outcome evidence drives commissioning decisions, improves financial performance and enhances the organisation’s reputation.

• People leadership: Inspire, retain and develop a high-performing, compassionate leadership team and workforce, focused on talent development, wellbeing and accountability.
• Governance & financial stewardship: Provide the Board with timely, high-quality reporting, oversee financial recovery or sustainability plans as required, and ensure robust risk, compliance and governance arrangements.

Who you are:

• An experienced CEO or senior director from complex, multi-service health, social care or community organisations, with experience of developing and delivering multi-agency contracts.
• Proven track record of securing commissioned contracts, leading tendering and contract oversight, and developing income diversification, including social-enterprise opportunities.
• Comfortable driving strategic transformation and financial sustainability, with demonstrable expertise in strategic financial management.
• A values-led, collaborative and visible leader with high emotional intelligence and resilience, committed to social justice, person-centred practice and co-production; an effective public representative and mentor.

Our client is looking for an experienced and politically astute Head of Public Affairs, Media and Digital Communications to help shape their work, influence decision‑makers and strengthen the voice of working people across Wales.

Do you have experience in working in or with trade unions, political institutions, political parties or public affairs organisations, with a strong understanding of how political decisions are made?

Can you lead and develop a communications team, delivering high‑quality, timely and strategic outputs across press, digital and social media?

Do you have strong analytical skills and political judgement, with the confidence and ability to respond quickly to fast moving events and changing contexts?

Do you have knowledge and understanding of current key issues in Wales and the UK more broadly around employment, the economy, society, trade unionism and politics- and can you apply this insight into communications and public affairs work?

In this role you’ll be working with unions and other organisations to deliver their priorities and will take the lead on building and maintaining effective relationships with elected representatives, advisors and civil servants across pollical parties.  As well as having excellent interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate they can operate confidently in a political environment, influence decision‑makers and represent our client with authority. You’ll also work closely with the General Secretary and senior leadership team to align political engagement with communications strategy, ensuring the organisation's voice is clear, consistent and influential.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of political and communications activity, using insight and data to refine and strengthen their work.

• The ability to act as a confident spokesperson, with outstanding written, digital and verbal communication skills.
