ABOUT THE ROLE

Variety is looking for an experienced Office and Facilities Manager who is proactive and highly organised to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our office environment. This role blends operations, facilities management, and a bit of people-first thinking—ensuring the workspace is safe, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone. We own our building in Camden which has three floors and we intend to rent out one of the floors (one floor is c2,628sq feet). This role requires management of office building matters, tenants and general office management including assistance to CEO.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Office Management:

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for office-related vendors (cleaning, supplies, security, etc.).
• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Support onboarding/offboarding processes from a facilities perspective
• Handle incoming mail and deliveries and ensure efficient distribution.
• First point of contact for calls, visitors, and general office inquiries.

Governance:

• Assistance to CEO with diary coordination, organisation of events, meetings, and in-office gatherings.
• Coordination of finance committee and Trustee meetings
• Minute taking at meetings as required
• Administrative assistance as required

Facilities Management:

• Oversee building maintenance, safety procedures, and office infrastructure.
• Liaise with tenants, building management, and external contractors to ensure facilities are well-maintained.
• Monitor and manage office budgets related to supplies, utilities, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; manage risk assessments and fire safety drills.
• Lead sustainability initiatives within the office (e.g. recycling, energy-saving practices).
• Ensuring health and safety compliance for staff including being the fire marshal

Cost management

· solicit and compare competitive quotes for office services and building making recommendations based on quality, reliability, and value.

· Negotiate contracts to optimise costs without compromising service standards.

· Proactively identify areas for cost reduction or improvements.

Administrative & Support:

• Maintain records of office leases, utilities, and insurance policies.
• Manage access control systems and office security.
• Support leadership with general administrative tasks when required.
• Create and maintain facilities manuals, process documentation, and onboarding guides.

Other

· Health and safety duties including fire marshal- training will be provided.

· Undertake any other duties that may from time to time be required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

• Proven experience as an Office and Facilities Manager, or similar role.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving attitude with a high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with office software (e.g. MS Office, Teams)
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people.
This role's shift work on a 7 day rolling rota.

- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

As a Training and Development Officer, you will be working directly with teachers and other education staff supporting their journeys in taking curriculum learning and play outside and to utilise their school grounds. You will deliver LtL’s training and projects within diverse communities across a significant geographical area. This role is part of our exciting new climate change education initiative. · Experience of delivering projects with diverse communities

· Experience of training and advising educational staff in primary or secondary schools.

To support charities’ (critical) adoption of AI we need to invest in supporting sector-experiments that create demonstrable impact (acting as showcases), working alongside the peer groups, charities and working groups to help move conversations into practical action.

To achieve that, we are looking to recruit a Head of Design for AI to focus on driving forward this work in a number of different ways:

• Blending expertise in AI technologies with human-centered design principles to foster innovation and inclusivity across the social sector;
• Providing direct support to organisations and specific product design advice;
• Designing a range of experiments and tools alongside the sector and CAST team;
• Supporting the design and development of specific programmes, training and interventions that will help shift the sector on AI

SUN was launched in 2021 and is a service delivered by MFT and SABP for people with difficulties associated with the diagnosis of personality disorder. The innovative SUN service is based on therapeutic community principles and members are expected to both give and receive support as part of their membership.

The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.

We are looking for individuals who are highly resilient and are confident in sustaining an emotionally demanding paid role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online, with a clinical facilitator.

Job Description

The Youth Violence Intervention Practitioner role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will be part of the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at St George's Hospital. You will support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will work with the young person in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Other tasks include:

• Hold a caseload and work with young people in a range of settings, including in A&E and on the wards, in the community, in face-to-face and group contexts, and promote their personal, educational, health and social development through all interactions.
• Assist with the on-going development of the service model to ensure that clients gain the maximum benefit from Redthread’s interventions.
• Ensure information resources such as client forms, databases and contact files are kept fully up-to-date and secure, in line with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and our Confidentiality Policy and Consent Policy. Maintain high quality recording of interventions with young people on our database, Threads, in line with Redthread’s best-practice requirements. (Training will be provided.)
• Collect and record evidence of project outcomes and young people’s achievements, to ensure the completion of monitoring forms and project progress reports as required.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer term services to reduce escalations in need and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

Shift Patterns are 08:00-16:00hrs and 14:00hrs to 22:00hrs. Working patterns-includes bank Holidays and weekends.

Mental Health Case Worker

We are looking for a Mental Health Case Worker to manage a caseload of clients and provide support to those experiencing both financial and mental wellbeing issues and develop resilience and manage their mental health more effectively. 

This will be in collaboration with Citizens Advice as they provide the client with financial advice and guidance.

Position: Mental Health Case Worker – Financial & Wellbeing Support Service

Location: Epsom, Ewell and Banstead

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £27,316

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026 (with possibility of extension)

Project

The free Financial and Wellbeing Support Service in Epsom and Ewell combines the specialist mental health support with expert benefits and money advice from Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell (CAEE) to support clients during a difficult time. This three-year project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The Role

• Increase financial resilience and independence.

• Improve overall mental and/or emotional wellbeing.

• Reduce stress and anxiety.

• Increase engagement with local community and local services

• Reduce social isolation.

• Help clients to feel more informed about how to manage finances and wellbeing in future.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work in partnership with the Citizens Advice to support people with their mental health who are experiencing financial difficulties.

• Manage a caseload of clients.

• Work with individuals and their carers around their mental health and social circumstances.

• Create a non-clinical person centred support plan around the individual, guided by the individual’s needs.

• Cultivate relationships with, and work with, other services around social wellbeing support for clients.

• Work with clients as the lead professional involved in their care, bridging to other services and opportunities and working closely with other organisations already involved.

• Aim to remove practical and physical barriers that arise from lack of resource at the community level.

• Assistance with accessing services (such as Community Connections).

• Advice, information, and signposting, including clear information about what support is available locally.

• Collecting reporting and monitoring data, providing case studies.

About You

You will have a minimum of 2 years community experience of mental health and wellbeing, and/or a qualification in appropriate subject i.e., counselling, psychology, social work, mental health, Health and Social Care (level 3)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (statutory and voluntary)

• An understanding of confidentiality, consent, information sharing, including GDPR.

• An understanding of Safeguarding policy and practice.

• Good communication and written skills and a commitment to ensure accurate and confidential record keeping.

• Ability to interact effectively with the clients, colleagues and other professionals whilst retaining clear boundaries.

• Ability to work to all the policies, procedures, and standards of the service and joint working arrangements with statutory and voluntary sector partners.

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of mental health issues.

• Knowledge and understanding of community working, lone working and ability to maintain safety whilst working in the community.

• Ability to use supervision effectively.

• A good understanding of personal limitations, ability to identify when to seek advice and support and deal with issues in a professional manner.

• Ability to manage challenging behaviour from clients who may present in distress.

• Information and Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, use of email, Outlook, and basic excel skills.

About the Organisation

The charity is a mental health and emotional wellbeing charity, supporting Surrey residents since 1994 in Banstead, Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley.

Offering a variety of face-to-face and online services, available to adults (aged 16+) living in Surrey who would like to restore and/or maintain their mental and emotional wellbeing (no diagnosis needed). The services are free of charge, with no waiting list and no time limit.
