The Chartered College of Teaching is currently working on a number of exciting projects, and is looking for an EdTech Evidence Lead who will play a key role in the success of these projects. By joining our team as EdTech Evidence Lead, you’ll be helping us to support educators and EdTech companies to strengthen their use of evidence and build understanding around the effectiveness of EdTech products in schools and colleges. 

The role will run until March 2026 in the first instance, with potential for extension.

Job Title: EdTech Evidence Lead
Salary: circa £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

The Opportunity

The EdTech Evidence Lead will play a key role in delivering one of our key projects, focusing on EdTech Evidence. Drawing on their experience and knowledge of EdTech, they will support EdTech companies and educators to build understanding about gathering and evaluating evidence for different EdTech products. They will develop guidance and materials to facilitate this, and work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to develop resources, systems and processes that aim to promote and recognise ‘high-quality’ evidence around EdTech. 

Main responsibilities include:

• Developing tools and resources to support individuals and organisations to engage with, and in, gathering and evaluating evidence around EdTech
• Developing guidance and training which helps EdTech companies plan and carry out evidence-gathering activities for their products and prepares them to submit evidence for formal review
• Contributing to the development and delivery of processes and systems for formally reviewing EdTech evidence
• Build relationships with EdTech companies and other key stakeholders to understand their use of evidence relating to EdTech and engage them with the project
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders to promote the use of EdTech evidence and seek input into the design and development of key project deliverables
• Representing the project externally to promote engagement with both the project, and with EdTech evidence generally
• Leading on the delivery of key project deliverables and monitoring progress towards these.

As Volunteer and Placement Coordinator, you’ll oversee the onboarding of volunteers and Music Therapy student placements, matching individuals to suitable settings, and handling DBS checks and references.

You’ll also contribute to ongoing improvements by sharing feedback and insights from your role to support the development of internal systems and processes.

Accountabilities

This role involves a range of duties that may vary week to week. Key responsibilities include:

• Responding promptly to general enquiries from individuals and organisations via phone and email

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are essential, as this role involves close interaction with colleagues across the team. An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, music therapy and the experiences of our clients is important.

Confidence using digital tools and systems is essential, as the role involves working with a range of platforms to support service delivery and coordination.

What's the role about?

You’ll be joining the RSPB England Education, Families and Youth team to support our regional partnerships with Girlguiding. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of our key project outputs.

Key tasks:

• Design and deliver youth-focused nature engagement activities, including co-creating a nature and climate youth action toolkit and launching a Youth Nature Ambassador Network for members aged 10-18 to shape initiatives and lead their own projects.

Key Responsibilities

1.Regular Reporting

• Forecast and create monthly cash flow as requested. 
• Report on cash reserve levels with reference to the reserves policy.
• Produce timely and accurate management and financial accounts information, as requested by the Director or Trustees each month, with full explanation on significant areas and variances from budgets, using accrual accounting methods.

2.Budgets

• Help to generate annual budgets.

4.Controls, Procedures, Systems

5.Donor Support

• Deal with any donor queries that come by email.
• Maintain up-to-date records of donors, field staff and other contacts in the MEM’s database.

• Set up standing orders and keep records. 
• Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations, and regularly submit Gift Aid reclaims to HMRC.

6.Financial Administration

• Input all financial data (income and expenditure) into organisation’s CRM, accounting and other relevant software.
• Prepare and follow up suppliers’ invoices for payment. 
• Make payments for all authorised invoices.
• Process expense claims and make payments. 
• Manage the banking of income (cheques and cash).

We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. Role Purpose 

Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.
