Sounds great, what will I be doing?

Our family women refuge's offer holistic support in order to empower women and their children who have experienced trauma to lead their recovery and gain the skills and confidence to move on safely. The Team Manager is responsible for the operational running and strategic direction of the refuge. Providing line management and leadership to the staff team, leading on contract and compliance and the safety, security and maintenance of the refuge, ensuring that the building aligns with our PIPE (Psychologically Informed Physical Environment) building standards and rental income is secured. 

The Team Manager plays a central role in ensuring the refuge is a safe, trauma-informed, and welcoming space for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. They promote an inclusive, anti-racist, and feminist approach while upholding Hestia's values of respect, dedication, and collaboration. Core responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day service delivery, ensuring compliance with safeguarding protocols, and facilitating the safe transition of service users. The manager ensures the team delivers high-quality, person-centred support, particularly for individuals with complex or intersectional needs.

In terms of operational and building management, the Team Manager is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the refuge in line with health and safety and PIPE (Psychologically Informed Physical Environment) standards. This includes managing relationships with landlords and housing teams, authorising repairs, handling rent collection and arrears, and addressing any security concerns. They also oversee the accurate and timely turnaround of vacant units and uphold positive community relations to ensure the refuge remains a secure and respected environment.

The role also involves leading and developing a high-performing team, ensuring all staff are well-supported through supervision, reflective practice, and training opportunities. The manager upholds staffing levels, supports volunteers and students, and manages performance and conduct issues where necessary. Quality assurance and compliance duties include monitoring performance against KPIs, using systems like INFORM and Power BI, handling feedback and complaints, and ensuring financial accountability. They also represent Hestia in strategic planning, external networks, and multi-agency partnerships to strengthen service delivery and community integration.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate should possess a solid general education, ideally with Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. They should either hold a SafeLives Service Manager qualification or be willing to work towards it. Experience in supervising staff and delivering high-quality support to individuals with diverse needs and risks is essential, as is a strong understanding of risk assessment and management in domestic abuse contexts. A good grasp of performance monitoring, welfare benefits, housing legislation—particularly the rights of domestic abuse survivors under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021—is also required.

Applicants should demonstrate a strong background in working within domestic abuse services, whether in the community or in a refuge setting. They must understand and value co-production, ensuring services are developed in partnership with those who use them. Effective communication skills are key, along with confidence in using IT systems such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Power BI. A clear understanding of safeguarding practices and health and safety legislation is crucial, with the ability to implement relevant policies effectively.

The role demands emotional resilience and the ability to work under pressure, especially in crisis situations involving traumatised or vulnerable women and children. A strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusive practices is essential, as is the ability to work independently within established policies and procedures. Flexibility and the ability to travel within the borough and beyond when required are also necessary for this position.

About the role:

Moving Medicine is an award-winning initiative of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK (FSEM) aimed at improving health through physical activity. It provides healthcare professionals with practical tools and evidence-based resources to promote physical activity in clinical practice. Moving Medicine is our free, award-winning initiative, designed to provide clinicians and allied health professionals with accessible, evidence based, condition specific information to help give advice on physical activity at all stages of a patient’s treatment pathway.

We are expanding our impact through the development of additional Moving Medicine resources for patients. This role will include project managing two large, interlinked projects, with time split across both:

One project is in conjunction with Nuffield Health, the project funders, will initially focus on publishing the newly built Moving Medicine Everyone website (due for publication in November 2025) and accompanying educational resources. The Project Manager will work closely with Moving Medicine clinicians, healthcare partners, stakeholders, and academic collaborators. The Deputy Contract Manager is responsible for the operational management of our specialist customer focused support services across the service. YMCA England & Wales is seeking a Senior Fundraising Manager to lead the development of new high-value corporate partnerships. As Senior Fundraising Manager, you will play a leading role in securing new partnerships of similar scale and impact. You will bring a strong track record in new business development—identifying, cultivating, and closing significant corporate relationships.  You will design compelling partnership propositions, manage high-level external engagement, and ensure alignment with YMCA’s mission and strategic priorities.

This is a senior position with scope to influence both the direction of YMCA’s corporate fundraising strategy and the culture of the wider team. Managing a Senior Fundraising Officer, you will provide leadership and guidance, while also contributing to a collaborative and ambitious environment across the fundraising team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with demonstrable results in winning new corporate partnerships. You are probably the top performer at your current charity, can evidence multiple six figure successes and are eager to take the next step in your career by moving to a more strategic, senior role. You will be motivated by the chance to shape a growing programme, work with high-profile brands, and create opportunities that deliver lasting change for young people and communities across England and Wales.

About you

Myeloma UK is looking for a motivated and experienced Special Events professional to join our Philanthropy team.

Special events play a vital role in engaging our supporters, inspiring their support, and raising vital income for the charity. Throughout 2026 we have a range of events planned, including private dinners, receptions and large fundraisers in London and Edinburgh.

Special Events is an area of growth for the charity, and this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our major donor team and senior volunteers and supporters to develop and deliver an engaging fundraising events programme.  

Experience in Special Events is essential, ideally in a charity environment. The successful candidate will have excellent event management skills, experience of working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to deliver creative and engaging events to inspire donor support.

About the role

Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to double our income by 2030.

The post holder will lead the planning and delivery of a programme of high-quality events. You will work with colleagues from across the charity to develop programmes that will engage our audiences and communicate the impact we deliver as a charity. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Managing contractor and freelancer records in line with GDPR and IR35, collaborating with finance and procurement.
• Driving continuous improvement in employee lifecycle processes, including contracts, leave, flexible working, and more.
• Supporting data analysis and reporting for internal metrics and external bodies (e.g. HMRC, ONS).
• Enhancing internal communications and self-service guidance through SharePoint and other platforms.
• Leading initiatives and projects aligned with the people plan, building ad hoc teams and stakeholder relationships as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing People (HR) Services functions and leading small teams in a complex organisation.
• Strong project delivery skills with a focus on accountability and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and hybrid collaboration tools.
