The Opportunity
 
We’re seeking an energetic, commercially savvy Interim Commercial Director to join us for approximately nine months. You’ll provide strategic leadership to our Commercial Team, manage our thriving e-commerce operation (equivalent to a £30m etail business) and cultivate and deepen long-term partnerships with our FMCG and retail supporters, both new and those who have worked with us for many years. Key Responsibilities: 
 
Leadership

• Lead, coach and motivate the Commercial Partnerships team to deliver outstanding results, including achieving 2025 targets and deliverables
• As a key member of IKD’s senior Leadership Team, contribute to the operational and strategic direction of the organisation, and attend regular meetings of IKD’s Board of Trustees
• Provide dynamic day-to-day leadership presence, role-modelling IKD’s values and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and results-focus

Strategic Commercial Relations

• Accountable for IKD’s relationships with its major commercial partners, ensuring successful collaboration and delivery of mutually-agreed targets and plans.
• Work with the Heads of New Business and Partnerships to develop and implement Commercial Team plans, enabling the delivery of all commercial targets and success criteria 
• Maintain a close watch on the needs of our charitable network, and identify a pipeline of current and new donated products in response
• Lead the Head of Partnerships and Head of New Business in building account plans for current and future product donors. Develop and drive trading strategy, including delivery of partnerships with affiliate schemes 
• Ensure excellent customer service to maximise the potential for product donations, including the development of bespoke proposals, high-quality impact/progress reports and any other engagement collateral required 
• Attend networking and other events relevant to IKD, building relationships with influencers and those able to support IKD 

E-Commerce 

• Accountable for delivering revenue targets through IKD’s e-commerce platform
• Work with the Operations Director and E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager to oversee the customer journey, aiming to increase conversion, retention and renewal 
• Support the E-Commerce Manager to develop and deliver the workplan for all corporate sites 
• Work with leadership team to deliver data-led analysis of our performance, both on commercial performance as well as marketing and business development

Marketing 

• Support and guide the Marketing team, to ensure successful delivery of IKD’s calendar of high-impact marketing and advertising campaigns, including social media
• Oversee the internal and external use of branding guidelines – ensuring consistency in the look and feel of all collateral materials, events and campaigns – protecting IKD’s corporate identity and positioning 
• Monitor the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives and activities, providing ROI and engagement measurements 
• Lead the marketing team in developing ambitious plans to celebrate IKD’s 30th anniversary in 2026

 Skills/experience you will bring: 

• Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level, being able to see the bigger picture while also being comfortable with detail and data, and ‘getting things done’ 
• Demonstrable sales and business development experience, having held a lead role in growing commercial revenue

About the Role

The Lead Lawyer - Africa Death Penalty Team is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. 

Our casework includes work on appeals to the Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal in the context of historic denials of a right to appeal and related contextual challenges; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing, as well as supporting on individual strategic resentencing cases; and long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter. This is an opportunity to join a team that has developed groundbreaking work with great success in getting people off death row, making significant contribution to legal reforms and towards abolition.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £52,088 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

As a Youth Development Lead you will;

• Develop and oversee a Youth Advisory Panel to ensure that youth voice is central to the design of our Youth Engagement Programme and the 360 Youth Centre.
• Develop and oversee the Youth Engagement Programme as part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’ including a range of activities in and nearby to Ashburton Park, including after school drop-in’s, evening sessions, group work and one-one mentoring.
• Support the development and engagement of young people in a Food Growing Enterprise based at Ashburton Lodge.
• Work closely with Croydon Council and other partners to support young people to engage with a wide range of programmes and activities that are part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’.
• Deliver open access sessions, group and one to one interventions with young people including; half term, afterschool, evenings and residentials, using a planned youth work curriculum.
• Line manage youth workers, sessional youth workers and youth volunteers to plan, deliver and evaluate youth work termly.
• Contribute to the development of youth work across the area and lead on specific areas of work on behalf of the team.

Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:

· Relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC), Social Work (QSW) or SEND.

· Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.

· Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes and able to work unsociable hours.

· Experience of project and/or people management

RLS Caseworker / Solicitor

As a RLS Caseworker / Solicitor you will conduct a small strategic caseload of asylum and refugee family reunion cases and assist on litigation (where eligible) under our legal aid contract to push for better decision-making, secure results for individuals and pursue improvements in the relevant law, policy and practices. 

You will also act as the supervising caseworker/lawyer for the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative (APBI), which is a specialist casework project delivered by RLS with funding and pro bono assistance from 11 leading commercial law firms. As part of this role, you will supervise pro bono lawyers to provide high quality legal representation for Afghans on matters including family reunion, the ARAP scheme, the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme and others. The project is now in its 3rd year and won the Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership Award at the Law Works Pro Bono Awards in 2022 as well as being nominated and commended for numerous other awards in 2022 and 2023. Please note that RLS recognise that pro bono legal work is always an adjunct to, and not a substitute for, an adequate system of publicly funded legal services. 

Key responsibilities

• Have conduct of a small strategic caseload and provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients
• Supervise the work of volunteer pro bono commercial lawyers on cases
• Deliver training to pro bono commercial lawyers
• Ensure that all legal work is promptly and accurate recorded on RLS’s case management system and keep relevant time recording
• Develop and disseminate relevant information on legal developments in this area for relevant stakeholders, including both the Afghan Community and building the capacity of other practitioners

Job Description

The Team Leader role has responsibility for the operational oversight of Redthread’s delivery within Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich,  and any community work undertaken in the surrounding area.  The role is to be part of the youth work team within Redthread with a primary focus on youth violence interventions in a health care setting. In this role you will lead the Youth Violence Intervention Programme team at the hospital. The team support young people aged, 11-25 years old, who present to hospital following an incident of violence of for whom them there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial farm. You will have line management responsibility for the Youth Workers in the team, ensuring the service runs effectively for young people and also working with young people in the hospital as well as supporting them post discharge to ensure they have the support in place that they need and want. Main duties include:

• To recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop a staff team including carrying out annual appraisals and regular supervision meetings.  To manage their health, safety and wellbeing.
• To promote and embed Catch22’s vision and values in local service delivery
• To ensure all service user information, interventions and other data as required by the contract are recorded on the relevant data management system in line with Catch22’s policy. 
• To manage operational risk, health and safety, governance and safeguarding issues in line with Catch22, Catch22 and Commissioner policies.
• Carry out regular case file audits as per the Audit Policy and Procedure
• Be responsible for the allocation of referrals and ensure caseload management structures are in place
• Adhere to reporting requirements, deadlines and requests, ensuring all required information is recorded accurately as instructed.

Qualifications - Essential

• Relevant level 3 or 4 qualification in health & wellbeing, youth provision or similar or demonstrable equivalent experience

Experience

• Significant experience of working with young people with challenging needs.
• Experience of Inter-agency working. Work within/ in partnership with Children’s and Family Services/ Youth Justice Services/ Youth services.
• Experience of delivering training to young people/professionals
• Working with young people in group and one-to-one settings.
• Knowledge of issues around risk and vulnerability amongst young people.
• An awareness of the current issues relating to at risk and vulnerable young people.
• Knowledge of engagement and intervention strategies.
• Knowledge of Children Act/LSCB Procedures and other appropriate youth policies.
• Understanding and experience of Performance Management with regard to practice and target achievement.
• Experience of using recording and data collation systems

Hours & work pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week including regular weekend and evening working and shift patterns covering hours of 9.00am - 9pm.

You will also provide guidance and supervision to one Community Advice Worker. This role involves occasional outreach in Gillett Square and through home visits.

The role
