We are seeking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic Clinical Courses Co-Ordinator to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. This role will assist with all aspects of the activities of our clinical training programmes within The Institute of Pre-Hospital Care. The Clinical Courses Co-Ordinator will work closely with our clinical and operational teams from both the HEMS and PRU services along with our university colleagues and degrees faculty. 

Reporting to the Degrees Manager, the post will have responsibility for assisting with all aspects of the delivery of the clinical course programmes. The post holder will be an integral part of the Institute team working closely with other members of the wider charity team.

What the job involves 

We’re looking for an exceptional nurse to join the Specialist Nurses team at Prostate Cancer UK, part of our wider Support Services team that helps men and their loved ones to navigate the challenges of prostate cancer.

First and foremost, you’ll be providing invaluable information and support directly to men and their families via a range of channels, including telephone, email, webchat, and WhatsApp. 

You’ll also work with other teams across the charity, ensuring that Prostate Cancer UK maintains a strong, credible clinical voice in all its activity. This will range from supporting men through webinars and classes, to delivering education sessions to health professionals, to reviewing health information resources, to supporting communications campaigns. 

Please note that there is no face-to-face patient contact as part of this role, and the team’s remit is contained to information and support – not clinical advice. 

You’ll be working Monday – Friday, with a hybrid working model. The service runs predominantly remotely, but periodical office attendance for collaborative work is expected. 

Current daily shift patterns are 8.45am – 4.45pm or 9.15am – 5.15pm. The appointee will need to be available 8.45am – 5.15pm daily, as shift patterns are allocated based on service requirements.  

What we want from you 

You’ll be a registered nurse with solid experience at NHS Band 6, including recent work in either urology, oncology or palliative care looking after men with prostate cancer. You’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your work effectively and flexibly. You’ll also be flexible and adaptable to meet the complex demands of this role. You’ll show willingness and proactivity to step away from frontline service delivery to support a range of wider charity activity. You’ll also be comfortable with remote working, both in terms of delivering information and support over the phone and working in a remote team.

The Head of Finance is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of Modern Art Oxford and is responsible for managing and reporting on the finances of the charity, acting as Company Secretary.  

The role is supported by the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.

Responsibilities

Finance

• To work closely with the Director on the preparation of the business plan and to take a leading role within SMT on monitoring and reporting to ensure its successful delivery.
• To lead on budgeting processes including three- to five-year plans, detailed annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and in-year re-forecasts.
• To be responsible for reporting on the overall financial position of the organisation, including the statutory accounts, management accounts and reports to budget-holders, ensuring that budgets are adhered to, that cash flow is managed, that effective cost control mechanisms are in place, that revenue is maximised and that there is timely and accurate financial reporting to SMT and the Board of Trustees.
• To ensure that best practice, statutory and organisational requirements are met in the operation of financial controls, the management of funds, charity accounting, Endowments Funds and investments, and taxation.
• To ensure the safety and security of the organisation’s financial assets.
• To prepare and submit the annual Museums & Galleries Exhibition Tax Relief (MGETR) submission, Gift Aid and all other tax rebates.
• To liaise with the external auditors for the annual audit of the statutory accounts and management of the pensions and other professional financial services as required, being the main contact in the organisation for the bank, auditors and pension providers.

• To attend Board meetings as required and support the Director in providing background briefing and financial material to enable the Board to make considered decisions about all matters of finance and finance policy.

The role involves providing expert HR guidance on employee relations and employment law, particularly in complex or sensitive cases. As a member of the Resolution Hub, the HR Business Partner also leads mediation and conflict resolution efforts. The role ensures that HR practices are legally compliant and reflective of Hestia's values, collaborating with other departments to continually improve and align the people strategy.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate for this role will bring substantial experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally gained in a fast-paced, change-driven environment. They will have led on key people-focused areas such as wellbeing, reward, and benefits, and possess a strong background in managing complex HR issues. With at least 5 to 7 years of experience in HR Business Partnering or as an HR Manager, they will be adept at supporting organisational change and driving strategic people initiatives.

They will be fully CIPD qualified, preferably to Level 7, and demonstrate a deep knowledge of employment law. Their experience will include leading TUPE transfers, managing restructures, and handling redundancy and consultation processes. The Food Education Network (FEN) began in 2020 as a coalition of organisations passionate about improving food education in schools and other settings to influence recommendations for the National Food Strategy.

School Food Matters is now looking for an experienced and passionate leader with skills in advocacy and communications to lead the future development of the Food Education Network and its next stage of influencing government policy around food education from early years into the secondary phase.

Main Responsibilities

The Director will build on the foundations already laid to establish the Food Education Network as a new member organisation to bring the sector together. This role will involve building close relationships with a wide range of external partners to ensure the Network is a credible voice on food education policy and is campaigning with its members to make change happen. The role will be split between governance of the network (40%) and influencing government policy (60%). 

Principle Duties:

· Define and clearly present the top policy priorities around food education and take these to politicians, the media and wider world

· Build close relationships with key decision-makers to influence food education policy

· Raise awareness of food education within the educational community

· Support the steering committee to raise funds

· Grow and solidify the Food Education Network, setting out a one-year plan with clear objectives, purpose, operations and governance

About The Role
Are you a driven and confident person, who relishes the challenge of working with local communities and groups who seldom seek support.  We are looking for a person who is determined to make a difference to the lives of people living with dementia across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
 You will be experienced in engaging and working with communities and a confident communicator with the ability to network with people across all levels.  You will be able to deliver community specific workshops and awareness sessions, working collaboratively with both internal and external colleagues.
You will cover the following areas:

- East Lancashire – Burnley, Blackburn, Darwen, Rossendale, Hyndburn, Pendle and Ribble Valley
- Central Lancashire – Preston, Chorley and Ormskirk

You will be able to manage your own projects and a small team of community volunteers, prioritising as you go. Whilst this is a homeworking role the majority of your time will be working out within the community and you will be required to regularly travel across Lancashire and South Cumbria. You must live within the Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

- Identify, engage, build and nurture relations with key stakeholders and influencers in each local community to ensure that dementia is a local priority.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the issues that prevent communities from engaging in dementia services and supporting the development of services to make them as inclusive as possible
- Develop and deliver community specific workshops and awareness sessions that make a positive impact for people living with dementia in their community.

About the role

As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions.

Team Leader (Nights) (Mental Health) - Recovery House 

Location: Alum Rock, Birmingham 

Salary: £27,259 per annum 

Hours: 38 hours per week (Nights) 

Recovery House is a new and innovative service our client are launching that meets an important need for people experiencing poor mental health. The service will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing vital support to people in need of short-term crisis accommodation, of up to 7 nights. The service is a partnership with the NHS, who will have a staff presence at all times, and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the public sector. 

This post is central to the smooth running of the 24/7 Recovery House. The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with Operations at our client, the role contributes to effective communication between operational staff and management 

About the role 

The Team Leader will support the Recovery Support Workers in providing continuous and safe delivery of support at the Recovery House and always ensure high quality and person-centred care. You will ensure that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld by the Recovery Support Workers and provide appropriate information to managers when requested. 

You will provide direction, management, and support to the delivery team of 13; which include 4 Waking Night Staff, and a Peer Mentors. Ensuring that safe levels of staffing is always provided and we deliver on the aims of crisis intervention and prevention. 

This role requires organisation and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work under pressure, and skilful in developing strong relationships with a range of people be able to hold on to a vision for the future rooted firmly in values and the principles of recovery. 

You will support the work of the NHS clinical team and liaise with them and ensure that the service can be accessed by service users when they need it and that the house is prepared and ready for new residents. 

This role will work variable night shift patterns, shared with the other Team Leader. 

About you 

Our client's ideal candidate will have experience of working and managing a team, with knowledge and commitment to the Recovery model of mental health support. You will have the ability to delivery services within a values framework, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others. 

You will have a good working knowledge of safeguarding and be able to deal with issues regarding this. You will be able to make safe and informed decisions, whilst working either independently or in consultation with others.
