Our fundraising team is made up of passionate people dedicated to making BCUK’s mission a reality, so we can prevent even more people from getting Breast Cancer. Fundraising income has grown significantly over the last few years thanks to a talented staff team, and we have an ambitious strategy to grow this income even further.
Working with agencies, including a digital mobilisation agency, The Senior Individual Giving Officer will be responsible for leading growing our individual donor and supporter base and delivering an excellent supporter experience.
You’ll need to be a digital native with experience in building digital-focused approached to supporter acquisition and development.

About the role
As Crisis’ Senior Media Officer, you will play a key role in delivering stand-out media campaigns that inspire the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health.
Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their story and empower them to do so. You’ll help create hard-hitting news stories that engage our audiences and raise awareness of some of Crisis’ biggest organisational campaigns including our annual Christmas appeal. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build relationships with key journalists.
About you
Due to an promotion in the team there is an opportunity to join our News and Media team for up to 10-month on a fixed term contract. This time period will cover the general election and Crisis’ flagship Christmas appeal, it will be an exciting role at a busy time.
The Senior Media Officer will lead the team’s work on major legislation before the election, including the Criminal Justice Bill. They will support campaign work around the election, lead on media outreach around Crisis’ retail operations and manage the crucial media day for Crisis at Christmas.
We are looking for someone who is on top of the news and can build relationships with journalists across the media spectrum. The Senior Media Officer will design and implement media strategies that help guide the public narrative around homelessness and ultimately help create significant policy and social change.
The Senior Media Officer will line manage a Media Officer, overseeing their work and personal development. The Senior Media Officer will also play a full part in a busy reactive press office, setting up national level interviews and liaising with senior producers.
To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience of working within a busy press office environment/ PR agency or as a journalist

Proven experience of leading on high-profile audience focused media strategies or pitching stories which secure coverage across news, consumer, online and regional media.

Proven experience of managing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders including journalists at all levels.

Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft copy for a range of audiences, including political, consumer, tabloid, trade and everything in between.

High Trees are seeking a dynamic and creative Voluntary and Community Sector Support Officer to provide tailored development support to local organisations and manage projects relating to sector support. You will be joining us at an exciting time following the formation of a new Research and Development team which is starting to deliver a new capacity building offer to the local VCS sector, including one-to-one mentoring and the production of high-quality resources based on our experience of working with Lambeth communities for over 25 years. We deliver capacity building support both directly and through our partnership work.
This is a hands-on, practical role and the right candidate will have a wide skillset and interest in continually developing skills in order to perform this role. You will be working on a variety of projects which focus on capacity building and VCS infrastructure support. Your day-to-day work will be varied and over the next 12 months we expect this to include tasks such as supporting local VCS organisations on a one-to-one basis to improve their policies and procedures, managing a local grants programme, creating high quality templates and user guides, and running workshops using the resources we have developed such as our Collaboration and Employment Toolkits. We are a small, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across Surrey. This is a key new role in the Major Relationships unit to support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead in major donor fundraising, an area which has grown in recent years. This locally based post will enhance the prospect pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of major donor prospects, which will help towards meeting the objectives and financial targets for major donor fundraising. The Major Relationships unit works alongside Grants, Corporates & Community as well as Individual Giving, as part of the wider Engagement (fundraising/marketing) team at Eikon.
Responsibilities
1. Research

Identify and prioritise potential major donor prospects in Surrey and beyond, who would be capable of making significant contributions and seem likely to have the propensity to donate i.e. to become major donors.

Produce high quality, tailored and insightful research on major donors.

Look at current supporters (all different types/levels) with good contacts/connections/networks and conduct research in order to suggest ways to reach new high net worth individuals across Surrey.
2. Event organisation/co-ordination
-
Organise/coordinate internal and externally run events such as dinners, drinks receptions, sporting events.

Attend key events - approx. 5 each year and sometimes evenings/weekends – welcoming guests and ensuring a positive experience.

Join the CEO and/or the Major Relationships Lead at specific meetings with MDs/MDPs, occasionally evenings/weekends.
3. Admin

Day-to-day support for MDs, MDPs and key influencers (KIs) which could include:

General stewardship including thanking and processing information on Sharepoint and Donorfy (Eikon’s database).

Database admin, including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements.

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity and works with thousands of schools and young people across the UK through its programmes.
Our Education Programmes are focused on engaging primary schools, secondary schools and sixth form colleges across the UK to take part in our programmes and ensure LGBT+ young people can thrive. Programme delivery:
- Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes, including Pride Groups, School Talks and School Diversity Week
- Manage the administration of Education Programmes
- Act as a first point of contact for schools on our programmes, answering questions, sharing new resources and encouraging participation. This includes engaging with new schools to increase our networks and managing a busy inbox
- Engage new schools to increase our networks, including representing the charity at conferences and events
- Maintain good relationships with school contacts, lead on liaising with school staff to confirm bookings, monitoring invoices, membership and renewals
- Work collaboratively across teams to manage logistics and ensure the smooth running of Just Like Us programmes throughout the academic year.

- Support with the creation and development of education resources

Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. About the role
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, Head of Fundraising, and Head of Programme Services, as well as external digital marketing agencies and outsourced communications partners, this is an exciting and rewarding role for someone who is looking to work strategically across multiple communications as part of a growing organisation.
Key responsibilities within the role will include:
* Create and deliver communications plans and campaign briefs.
* Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and maximise media opportunities and campaigns that help raise awareness of the organisation's cause and services
* Management of data within Salesforce database, ensuring data collection via the website and other platforms is compliant with GDPR and any related or superseding legislation
* Evaluate the success of campaigns, setting and tracking key metrics, feeding learnings back into future work in a cycle of continuous improvement
* Prepare and deliver regular, meaningful reporting on communications, to assist and drive strategic communications and marketing decision making
* Oversee content creation for social media and online platforms, marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and appropriate audience targeting

* Creation of regular e-communications to targeted audiences assisting in the increase in supporter and beneficiary reach
* Management of twice-yearly videography and photography shoots, ensuring compliance and management of image library
* Work closely with service delivery colleagues, PR Executive and Lead Volunteers to unearth compelling content that will connect with key audiences
* To support the PR Executive in the identification and creation of opportunities for coverage of our charity's mission and with reactive media queries
* Develop and deliver a patron and ambassador strategy
* Monitor and control spending against delegated budget

Senior Development Officer (Fundraising)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role:The Senior Development Officer plays an integral role within the Development Team at Forces Employment Charity (FEC). You will work with the Head of Development to produce high quality, bespoke proposals, and reports to demonstrate impact and outcomes to help drive the delivery of FEC across the UK. You will also work within the team to research and identify new fundraising opportunities from trusts, foundations and companies and convert these into long term business relationships.
This position provides a full-time, permanent contract with hybrid working hours, consisting of a 35-hour week. The role allows for hybrid work, including remote work from home, with one day per month at our head office in London.
Principle Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the Head of Development to research and identify new opportunities.
- Develop, prepare, and submit high quality funding applications, acting as bid writing SME.
- Peer Review support to mentor other team members.
- Work with Head of Development to increase the accuracy of our Salesforce data, resulting in data dashboards suitable to the reporting needs of our funders.
- Collaborate with Development and Senior F&R Officer to implement a team strategy and support a lean process of reporting.
