We’re seeking a senior media and PR manager (fundraising and brand) to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team at an exciting time of growth for the charity.
As part of our 2025-2030 organisational strategy, we have ambitious plans to increase awareness, understanding, trust and engagement, to support the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer and this role will play a key part in helping realise these ambitions.
You’ll lead all media and PR activity around Breast Cancer Now’s fundraising and brand marketing, developing and leading delivery of bold and ambitious annual media strategies for these areas that support the charity to supercharge progress for anyone affected by breast cancer. You’ll ensure all plans are tightly aligned to the charity’s strategic ambitions and integrated across owned, earned, shared and paid channels for consistency and greatest impact.
You’ll build media profile that positions Breast Cancer Now as determined leaders and as the ‘charity partner of choice’, raising awareness, engagement and support among actual and potential supporters across our fundraising activity, from our wide range of fundraising challenge events and flagship campaigns, to driving excellent results for corporate partnerships around shared values and targets in a way that makes us an aspirational charity to partner with.
Leading media and PR for our brand marketing activity, you’ll work closely with the brand marketing team and have a unique opportunity to work closely with our world/industry leading brand marketing agency to provide counsel and support the shaping of creative media and PR activity that best amplifies the charity’s brand across the year. Key to this role is ensuring relevant internal stakeholders are brought in where appropriate.
You’ll also play a key part in supporting the day-to-day leadership of the wider media and PR team.
About you
Excellent at building and nurturing impactful relationships both internally and externally at all levels, you’ll be an effective negotiator with the ability to balance complex and sensitive needs across stakeholders (including corporate partners, agencies, fundraisers, and journalists) to secure media profile that cuts through and resonates with key audiences. A natural planner with a strategic mindset, you’ll work closely with colleagues to forward plan and consider the bigger picture while ensuring tight alignment and consistency across all communications output. Your ability to prioritise multiple and complex projects and handle conflicting demands and tight deadlines will also be key to the success of your team.

JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Programmes & Funding Manager in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of AdviceUK's funded programmes. About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Trusts Manager, you'll play a key role in securing income from trusts and foundations, developing relationships with funders, and creating compelling applications that demonstrate impact.
You'll focus on researching opportunities, developing strong proposals, and building relationships with trusts and foundations to support the RAF Association's work.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and enjoys using creativity and storytelling skills to secure support. You may already have experience in trusts fundraising, or you may be looking to develop your fundraising career with strong transferable skills.
You'll ideally have:
Experience of trust fundraising, grant management, CRM systems, or the Armed Forces charity sector would be beneficial, but we're also keen to hear from candidates with strong writing skills and a willingness to learn. About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting young people through education by acting as the vital link between partner schools and a team of inspirational volunteer mentors.
Working closely with schools, you will coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of the charity's in-school programme, ensuring volunteers have the guidance, support and resources they need to make a lasting difference to pupils' lives. Alongside programme coordination, you will help develop volunteers throughout their year of service, supporting their professional development while building strong relationships with schools and key stakeholders.
The role is predominantly school-based from Monday to Thursday, with most Fridays spent attending training and development sessions at the Birmingham office or online.
What you'll be doing
● Lead, coach and develop a team of Volunteer Mentors throughout their year of service.
● Build strong partnerships with school leaders and staff.
● Ensure high-quality delivery of City Year's school programme.
● Support volunteers' wellbeing, engagement and professional development.
● Monitor and evaluate programme impact using data and feedback.
● Act as the main relationship manager between City Year UK and your partner school.
● Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve the experience for schools, pupils and volunteers.
● Support the delivery of our Leadership Development Programme, helping Volunteer Mentors build the skills, confidence and experience they need for future careers.
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people and enjoy building positive relationships with others.
You may come from an education, youth work, volunteering, project coordination or community engagement background, although we're open to a range of experiences as long as you have the right skills and passion.
