Main activities may include:

This role fights the housing emergency by raising funds that enable Shelter to provide advice and support and campaigning for change. The events you’ll be attending are also great for raising awareness of the housing emergency and how people can get involved to help tackle it.

Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small, friendly charity based in Southwark, providing inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities. You’ll help our tutor support a group of adults with learning disabilities to explore a range of artistic practices from painting to clay making. You will play an important part in fostering a creative and relaxed environment so our learners can express themselves and discover new art techniques

Detailed description

Having access to a secure garden or outdoor area can be crucial for providing opportunities to socialise and relax, which can be invaluable for the mental well-being of our residents.

The gardening and growing volunteer will support our accommodation sites in maintaining their outdoor spaces, including:

·Weeding

·Sweeping

·Pruning

·Clearing leaves and large twigs

·Watering plants

·Planting bulbs and tidying up flower beds

We would love for this to be an opportunity to involve our residents and potentially lead a gardening activity with them, equipping them with knowledge and skills to maintain their own green spaces in the future. 

You will need:

• Enjoy working outside in all weathers.
• An interest/basic knowledge of gardening
• Role requires some degree of physical work and lifting/manual handling
• To work under your own initiative.
• Good communication skills
• Opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills

A full induction to the service and specific site will be provided as well as access to training and events throughout the year!

Some sites have basic tools however any additional tools and material required can be discussed with your volunteer manager .

Giant Football Community Walk

Location: Remote

Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 3 to 5 hours per week

The Giant Football Community Walk is looking for a volunteer Social Media Manager to help promote our 2026 event and engage with football supporters, clubs, foundations and supporter groups across the North West.

The event will bring together supporters from across the football pyramid for a 42km or 21km community walking challenge. Participants will represent their clubs, raise money for good causes and celebrate the positive role football plays within local communities.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised and supportive Volunteer Campaign, Creator and Activity Support Manager to oversee new registrations, support Creators from onboarding through to campaign completion, upload new experiences to the platform and assist with live campaigns.

This role focuses on ensuring new Creators and Collaborators receive a smooth, welcoming and professional experience, that experiences are accurately uploaded and maintained, and that live campaigns receive the support needed to run successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new Creator and Collaborator registrations from initial application through to onboarding and next steps

• Review registration information, follow up where anything is missing and ensure records are kept up to date in the CRM

• Guide new Creators and Collaborators through the registration and onboarding process, including selecting their cause, campaign and experience where appropriate

• Arrange, support and conduct introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate.

• Upload new experiences to the Influential Stars platform, ensuring descriptions, pricing, links, images and key details are accurate

• Regularly review live experiences and update or remove listings where pricing, availability or exclusions have changed

• Send approved welcome emails, registration communications and onboarding information using existing templates

• Arrange and support introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate

• Monitor and support all live campaigns on the platform

• Liaise with creators throughout the live campaign period to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support

• Schedule, diarise, and send campaign communications using approved templates

• Coordinate with internal team members when campaigns go live

• Provide reminders, tips, and prompts to help creators maximise engagement

• Respond to creator enquiries and provide assistance as needed

• Conduct support calls where appropriate

What You’ll Do

Bring joy and stimulation to people living with dementia by planning and running creative, engaging activities at our day care centre, that encourage connection, laughter and participation. We’re looking for an inspiring volunteer to become SUNSHINE’s first Founding COO.

Working alongside the Founder, you’ll help transform an ambitious vision into a sustainable organisation that changes lives across London.

2. Founding Chief Community Officer

Create Places Where Friendships Begin

Every event or programme has the potential to change someone’s life.

As our Founding Chief Community Officer you’ll design welcoming activities where strangers become friends and communities grow stronger.

You’ll help by

• Creating community programmes.

• Supporting activity leaders.

• Ensuring every event feels welcoming and inclusive.

• Listening to participants and improving experiences.

Your work will help people feel seen, valued and connected.

3. Founding Chief Volunteering Officer

Build the Team That Changes Lives

Great charities are built by great volunteers.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys encouraging people, building teams and helping others succeed.

• Recruit volunteers.

• Welcome and support new team members.

• Organise training.

• Celebrate volunteer achievements.

4. Founding Chief Partnerships Officer

Bring London Together

No organisation ends loneliness alone.

You’ll build relationships with councils, community organisations, GP surgeries, businesses, universities and local groups to help SUNSHINE reach more people.

6. Founding Chief Communications Officer

Share Stories That Inspire Hope

People connect with stories.

You’ll help tell the story of SUNSHINE through social media, campaigns, photography, video, newsletters and public relations.
