As Research Involvement Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading a programme of patient and public involvement in research, a core component of our charity wide involvement strategy. 

This role will ensure that our research strategy and funding programme is shaped by the priorities and needs of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll review and refine our processes to ensure they are in line with sector best practice and that they meet the needs of our community of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll further embed effective and meaningful involvement at all stages of the research cycle at Blood Cancer UK. 

You’ll also work to support the involvement of people affected by blood cancer in external research and strategic projects across the UK. You will ensure that the research we and others fund is patient focussed and has the potential to accelerate progress and deliver the maximum impact for the communities we support.

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Partnerships Officer to drive forward relationship building and income generation within corporate fundraising. 

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this role will lead and manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships to an excellent standard. As well as managing and supporting the development of strategic partnerships, the post-holder will build relationships with multiple stakeholders to develop long-term commitment to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. This Fundraising Officer role will sit in the Events team. This team is responsible for a portfolio of third party organised sports events - such as London Marathon, Tough Mudder, Cardiff Half and skydives - that will raise £4.4 million in this financial year.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

- Provide support for people taking part in third party organised sports events in aid of Mind. This will include sending supporter communications, providing ongoingsupport, following up non-payments, personalised thanking, and supporter surveys.

-Attend supporter led and third-party events to help enhance our supporters' experience and deepen their relationship with Mind.

-Support the Senior Fundraising Officer in the delivery of events fundraising activity. Job Purpose

The post holder will work cross-functionally to provide front-line administrative and transactional systems support to the People team and the Finance team. Within the HR/People elements of the role, the focus will be on day-to-day systems and process queries, recruitment, HR system support to Ada’s staff, compliance and general HR administration. Role Responsibilities:

Finance Support: 60%

Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Purchase Ledger:

• Ensure that purchase requisitions are received and processed on the accounting system in a timely manner,
• Ensure that all expenditure is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account, and that the correct VAT code is used,
• Ensure all suppliers’ invoices are attached to purchase requisitions on ApprovalMax
• Prepare mid and end of the month BACS payment run and ensure that suppliers are paid within payment terms,
• Receive and check all statements from suppliers,
• Investigate and action any issues that arise with regards to creditors,
• Regular review and maintenance of the outstanding purchase order and goods received notes report,

Support the Assistant Finance Manager in updating the Sales ledger:

• Ensure that all income is recorded against the relevant nominal code and cost account and that the correct VAT code is used,
• Ensure that all requests for sales invoices are processed and sent to debtors promptly,
• Ensure that all requests for sales invoices are monitored and chased so that the prompt payment is received

Petty Cash:

• Ensure that the disbursement of the funds, keeping records of those disbursements and requesting replenishment of the fund is done accordingly to the Petty Cash Policy;
• Ensure that the reconciliation of the business petty cash transactions is done on the bi-weekly basis in the Xero finance system.

Other finance duties:

• Support Assistant Finance Manager in preparation of the pay runs;
• Monitoring finance account inbox and dealing with staff, students and supplier queries to ensure they are quickly and properly resolved;
• Support staff in following the financial policies and procedures, such as: filling out charge card tracker, purchase orders, setting up new supplier;
• Support the Finance team in setting up a Fixed Asset Register and making sure it is kept up to date on a regular basis;
• Support the Finance Team with any other queries that may arise.

HR Support:

Recruitment

• To work with the HR Manager to draft adverts for posts being advertised, ensuring that they are well-written and engaging.
• To obtain quotes for advertising on various job boards and recruitment media channels in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring the best possible exposure for vacancies
• To coordinate interview/selection logistics including room bookings, diary management, scheduling and preparation of relevant materials and sending invites to candidates
• To support the HR Manager with the administration processes around onboarding and offboarding of staff including consultants, mentors, volunteers and governors.

Inbox Management & Staff queries

• To manage the recruitment inbox, responding to candidate and hiring manager queries in a timely manner
• To work with the HR Manager to manage the HR inbox, responding to staff enquiries in a timely manner recognising that some correspondence will be highly confidential and/or sensitive in nature.

Systems & Compliance

• To be the main point of contact for all HR system queries and to action all first-level system transactions, escalating more complex transactions to the Head of People & Talent or the HR Manager.
• To send out reference requests for all shortlisted candidates, chasing responses and passing on to the relevant line manager
• To maintain spreadsheets and trackers to ensure all relevant HR information is collected and collated (eg vacancies, DBS and other pre-employment checks, probationary periods, performance management, exit interviews.)
• To create and maintain electronic copies of  personnel files
• To support with the updating of the Single Central Record for all staff, volunteers, consultants, agency workers and governors
• Under the direction of the Head of People, issue relevant letters to staff in relation to Employee Relations (ER) matters ensuring that timelines are strictly followed, meetings arranged, notes/minutes taken and all paperwork, including checklists, is fully completed.
• To support the People team with all HR policies, processes and projects as required.

General Administration

• To provide accurate data for Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in monthly data returns,
• Liaising with CIVICA support team to seek advice on better use of MIS (REMS),
• Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and update database system REMS,
• Keeping up to date with the latest ESFA funding rules and regulations.

Additional duties:

• Undertake confidential shredding and filling,
• Coordination Support for the Finance or People/HR elements of staff on-site events

NEF Summary:

At the National Energy Foundation, our team is forward thinking in its approach to home energy and uses its influence and projects to make meaningful change. Our primary focus is delivering projects aimed at alleviating fuel poverty and helping residents to feel warmer, healthier and more comfortable in their homes whilst also helping them cut the cost of their fuel bills. In the next five years, we will seek to help more than 170,000 households out of fuel poverty. Beyond this, we seek to encourage homeowners to make improvements to their homes to increase energy efficiency. To enable this, we deliver several projects aimed at encouraging retrofit of energy efficient heating systems into UK homes.

Job Role

The Finance Director will work with the CEO and the Finance team to collaboratively drive the development and delivery of the NEF’s strategic plans and budgets. The Finance Director will be a member of the NEF’s Senior Management Team (SMT) and will attend the quarterly Trustee Meetings.

Not only will the Finance Director take accountability for the day-to-day transaction processing, ably supported by an effective Finance Team of 3 people, they will take the lead on the budgeting, planning and analysis processes, developing a range of processes and reports to enable effective decision making.

The Finance Director will be the key contact for and work with the auditors, HMRC and other professional advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure that the organisation remains compliant and fulfils its legal responsibilities.

Management

o Manage the Finance function, providing leadership and support to the Finance Manager and their team of 2 analysts to ensure they are all able to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.

o Provide strategic financial guidance to ensure that the NEF meets all its objectives.

o Contribute to the company’s overall business objectives and guide on financial strategy.

o Act as support and “Critical Friend” to the CEO, deputising for them where required.

Audit, Accounting & Reporting

o Take accountability for the production of timely and accurate financial reports, meeting the deadlines set by the CEO and the Trustees.

o Take accountability for all transaction processing including payroll, invoicing customers, and supplier invoice payments.

o Continually develop the reporting output to ensure that it meets the ever-changing requirements of the NEF and its Trustees.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Press and Campaigns Officer to raise the profile of Carers First, building our brand awareness and engagement levels to reach new carers. The successful candidate will also help to raise awareness of the issues affecting carers and be responsible for our press and media activity, helping us to secure national and local coverage. 
You will work to increase the charity’s local presence improving visibility and helping to increase engagement with Carers First across all the areas in which we work, supporting with the development and delivery of our campaigns and projects.
To be successful you will require 1-2 years of experience in a public relations or communications position, ideally within the charity or public sectors, excellent IT skills including ability to use Microsoft Office suite, along with superb organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines and show attention to detail.

The Programme Officer role will report to the Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

I regularly collaborate with colleagues across both charities, and the other founding charities of Mental Health UK, and key partners to create compelling and inspiring content.
