Adept in building and nurturing relationships, the Individual Giving Manager will find new and engaging ways to cultivate a strong, sustainable network of individual supporters and secure significant, long-term philanthropic income for the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, research, and engage high-net-worth individuals with an interest in STEM, education, and youth development, building long-term relationships through personalised communication and tailored stewardship plans
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure five- and six-figure gifts from new and existing donors
• Develop and implement a strategy to engage The Smallpeice Trust’s alumni as future donors, advocates, and ambassadors, creating tailored communication and engagement opportunities at each stage of their life and career
• Deliver a year-round programme of tailored donor and alumni engagement, including strategic recognition events, campaigns, and initiatives that foster long-term relationships with alumni, new and existing donors
• Strengthen collaboration across teams to align donor interests with programme impact.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of donor engagement in the CRM system, ensuring insights inform strategy.
• Work closely with programme delivery, content and impact as well as marketing teams to align donor interests with organisational activity and ensure consistency of fundraising messaging across events, proposals and reports
• Monitor performance against targets and contribute to fundraising reports for senior leadership and the Board

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience in major donor fundraising, individual giving, or high-value relationship management.

· Demonstrated success in securing five- and six-figure gifts from individuals or philanthropists.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and donor communications.

· Experience planning and delivering events or engagement opportunities for supporters

· Excellent stakeholder management skills, collaborating effectively at all levels

· Familiarity with CRM systems for pipeline and performance tracking.

The salary for this role is £48 000

Overview
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to manage our online shop. This hands-on role is vital in supporting our mission to protect wildlife and habitats in Kenya. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the online store, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our supporters.

This is a part-time role at 0.4 FTE (15 hours per week), offer a pro rata salary of £28,000 - £30,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities to include:

Online Store Management

• Handle the day-to-day operations of the online shop including ensuring efficient order processing, stock management, quality control of incoming stock, processing customer returns, helping the team with packing orders during busy periods, and ensuring consistently high levels of customer service.
• Plan for the busy Christmas period by assessing workload and engaging the assistance of temporary staff, volunteers and the wider team as necessary.
• Conduct periodic stocktakes to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage, identifying any errors and training issues.
• Recommend to the Executive Director any updates to the online store's website to ensure it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and regularly refreshed with new products and promotions.
• Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategies to drive website traffic and sales.

Product Development and Sourcing

• Identify and recommend new products that will align with the SWT's mission, appeal to supporters and offer a minimum required ROI.
• Manage timely procurement of products and packing materials.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
• Create new product listings on Shopify including all relevant back-end product information.
• Write compelling descriptions for product listings, creating and adding appropriate imagery.
• Support Communications team in providing imagery and copy for featured products in monthly charity e-newsletter.
• Create visuals for shop adverts as requested by Executive Director.
• Review and update shop banners/landing page imagery seasonally to keep shop appearance fresh and inviting.

Volunteer Management

• Train and supervise volunteers in picking/packing, stocktaking and quality control.
• Assist in maintenance of the volunteer rota, organising volunteer support as needed based on tasks available, including forward planning for busy seasonal periods.
• Periodic review of output of volunteers to raise training issues where necessary to ensure standards are maintained.

Financial Management

• Manage the online shop budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
• Work with the Director of Finance to propose the annual online shop budget for Board approval.
• Produce stock reports for the auditors and be the main point of contact for the annual audit of stock.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions about product offerings and pricing strategies.

Customer Engagement

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Review global shipping methods and suppliers; recommend to the Executive Director and implement changes to make delivery to customers as smooth as possible.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and customer feedback.
• Use data insights to propose and implement improvements to the online shop's operations and customer experience.
• Working closely with the Director of Finance, provide reports and insights on the shop data for the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or post-school qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing an online shop or e-commerce platform.
• Strong understanding of online retail best practices, including pricing, digital marketing, and customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for wildlife conservation and the mission of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust UK.

About the role

In this new and pivotal role, you will lead efforts to grow awareness, engagement, and income generation through a vibrant network of volunteer-led branches across Northern England. Science communication sits at the heart of everything we do at CSC. In this role, you’ll continue to deliver inspiring STEM engagement first-hand at our venues, while also leading and developing our dynamic team of Science and Weekend Communicators.

You will foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, taking responsibility for training schedules and rota management. • You take ownership of the Science and Weekend Communicator training calendar, working closely with the Product Development Officer and Visitor Experience Manager to schedule training in areas such as product knowledge, health and safety, and risk mitigation. You ensure strong training coverage across the team, supporting members to attend sessions promptly and make the most of the learning opportunities they provide.

• You take ownership of your team’s rota, oversee their logistics, and ensure their commitment to maintaining clean, organised, low-risk venues and well-prepared science communication kits.

• You work with the Visitor Experience Manager and Outreach and Innovation Manager to plan your team’s activities at least two months in advance, while remaining responsive to any circumstances that require swift rota adjustments.

• You coordinate feedback from your team on stock replenishment for science communication kits and ensure timely communication of these needs to the Delivery and Sales Administrator. 

• Ensure the team is actively discussing and capturing insights about CSC audiences and the effectiveness of our interventions through observation, as well as formal and informal feedback.

• Ensure our venues are kept clean, tidy, and low-risk, with a prompt and effective response to any unforeseen circumstances.

Working Conditions

The primary locations for this role will be Cambridge Science Centre's Head Office at 44 Clifton Road, Cambridge, CB1 7ED (assigned desk or workspace) and the Cambridge Science Centre at Trinity Centre, Cambridge Science Park, CB4 0FN (hotdesking model).

Working one weekend every three weeks, depending on Centre capacity. CSC plans rotas at least 4 weeks in advance to avoid consecutive weekend commitment where possible to do so.

In addition, there will be frequent travel (primarily driving with a company or hire vehicle) to the semi-permanent centre (Inspire Wisbech Centre, Wisbech, PE13 1AR) and, on occasion a variety of locations across the East of England, including schools and community venues, which will include occasional overnight stays.

We offer the option of flexible hybrid working where and when possible, when not delivering sessions.

Position: 1934 Major Gifts Manager 

Location: This role is nominally based at our site based in Sidmouth, Devon – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and we offer hybrid working. We are keen to make the role work for you, and will consider fully remote/home working and flexible working patterns, where required.

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday

Salary: £40,000 per annum

About the Role

As Major Gifts Manager, you will provide expertise in Major Gifts, successfully developing the programme in line with agreed annual targets and our Fundraising Strategy. You will work closely with the Head of Major Gifts to evolve and continuously improve the major gift activity, bringing an integrated approach across the charity to deliver the most donor-centric activity, whilst continuously evaluating performance.

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:

• Inputting into and delivering the Major Gifts Strategy and improving the Major Gift portfolio and performance.

• Delivering and reporting on agreed projects, fundraising targets and KPIs.

• Proactively identifying and delivering new fundraising donors and income growth opportunities within Major Gifts.

• Leading on selected donor cultivation and stewardship projects to support sustainable income growth in Major Gifts, including events and other opportunities;

• Personally securing, managing and stewarding a portfolio of active Mid-Value, Major Donors and Charitable Trusts, forging and maintaining strong and enduring relationships.

• Supporting and growing the Major Gifts cultivation programme and pipeline to grow funders’ understanding of the diversity of the charity’s work.

• Being agile to changing market conditions and trends and working with the Head of Major Gifts to relay this into cultivation and stewardship.

About You

With experience of managing, cultivating, and delivering major gifts, and of planning future major gifts pipeline, you will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding personal fundraising targets.

You will also have:

• A demonstrable record of building excellent stewardship and successful relationships with supporters at all levels including high net worth supporters, charitable trusts and other major donors.

• Well-developed knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and interpretation of programme performance.

• Demonstrable experience of project budget management/reporting.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• The ability to multi-task and work with several conflicting demands and timescales.

Role overview: 

A pivotal senior position within the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising team, this role works closely with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising to lead key fundraising initiatives and stewardship efforts. As a growing area of focus for the team, the role holder will have a significant impact on the strategic development of Donor Advised Funds fundraising at Mary’s Meals.
