Position Overview: As the Head of Alumni Relations, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong connections with our alumni network. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and oversee the management of our university ambassadors, ensuring they effectively represent and promote our organisation's mission and values within their respective institutions. Additionally, you will chair the alumni advisory board, a committee developed to grow the alumni community and act as a sounding board feeding back into the organisation's strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Ambassador Program Management: Develop and implement strategies to recruit, train, and support university ambassadors. Alumni Development: Organise CPD opportunities for alumni, including seminars, webinars, and skill-building workshops. Coordinate social get-togethers and informal networking events to facilitate connections and foster community among alumni..

As Senior Philanthropy Manager within our Fundraising Team, you will focus and lead on:

• External facing relationship manager, both building new relationships and effectively stewarding existing ones 
• Support the High Value Lead to set budgets and conduct regular reforecasting

Rethink Nature is a partnership of seven leading species conservation organisations whose aim is ‘to combine their extensive knowledge and experience to catalyse the action that species need across the four nations of the UK’.  We have received funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to set up a Species Recovery Partnership for NI to strengthen and build the Rethink partnership in NI, and work with government, other eNGOs and key stakeholders to better deliver key outcomes for species. You will work on behalf of the Partnership but be managed by the Head of Species at RSPB NI, and will be responsible for managing the Partnership Administrator. You will also work closely with Rethink Nature UK's Species Advocacy Lead. The role holder can be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland (Belfast) approximately once every two months.

What's the role about?

We are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual with a good working knowledge of priority species in NI, the mechanisms needed to deliver for them, and the ability to bring stakeholders together. You will be responsible for managing the project to sure that that the following key outcomes are delivered within budget and on time.

• A set of Species Recovery Principles for NI
• A cross-taxa list of highest priority species for NI and concise species action plans (cSAPs) for these species
• A 3-day facilitated workshop to agree on the prioritised list and how the cSAPs and the bid will be developed.
• A NI Species bid, similar to those in GB (Species on the Edge, Back from the Brink, Natur Am Byth), to deliver the critical actions outlined in the cSAPs. This would form the basis of a bid to NLHF for development and delivery funding for a NI species bid.
• A document outlining the key policy and legislative changes needed to deliver for species in Northern Ireland and associated advocacy to ensure it gains attention and influences change.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
• Demonstrable leadership ability, able to lead without line management authority
• Organising meetings, facilitated workshops and events
• Excellent written, spoken communication and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences
• Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc)

The Role

About the role

Collaborating closely with our Academy Coordinator and team members, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing the Admiral Nurse Academy’s learning management system, Blackboard, to ensure it offers Admiral Nurses high quality learning opportunities. You will design and build online learning courses and modules, from an initial structure/outline, to the detailed storyboarding of content (supplied by Academy Team), activities and assessments. You’ll harness various digital tools and applications like Articulate, Vyond, and Padlet to craft captivating content. Ensuring that the learning design for all online programmes is focused on helping Admiral Nurses to achieve course learning outcomes and meet their personal learning goals.

The preferred candidate will have high-level knowledge of learning management systems and the digital tools used in online learning. You will have experience of working or studying in online education or training, being able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. You will be able to work in a deadline driven production environment and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously working with internal and external stakeholders.

The Branch Manager will manage the business activities associated with the Branch, per the Society’s rules and on behalf of the Branch Trustees. The Branch Manager will work alongside the Animal Care Coordinator in maintaining RSPCA Welfare standards and recruiting fosterers.

General Management

• Undertake all admin duties as defined by the Trustees.
• Responsible for the recruitment of animal fosterers and volunteers, alongside the Animal Care Coordinator.
• Create and implement an animal welfare awareness programme for children under 10.
• Attend Branch Trustee meetings and present relevant information (1 evening a month).
• Maintain all electronic platforms and social media.
• Ensure staff and volunteers are aware of and adhere to the Branch and National Society policies, procedures and rules.
• To facilitate the employment, deployment, appraisal, training and discipline of staff.
• Ensure that training needs are identified and brought to the Branch Trustees’ attention.
• Ensure that Branch staff have current job descriptions and are aware of their responsibilities.
• To establish local volunteer groups to support with their own fundraising and events, offering them advice and support.
• To have overall responsibility of the Branch charity shop.
• As required, organise and run key fundraising and/or Public Relations events in the Branch Calendar.
• Attend key sub-committee meetings as appropriate or nominate a representative.
• Discover and maintain various grants and responsible for creating and running fundraising events.

Communication

• Responsible for effective and appropriate communication with all Branch employees and volunteers on matters concerning the Branch and Society.
• To ensure effective and appropriate communication between Branch, the Region and National Headquarters.

• Responsible for ‘Public Relations’ of the Branch, using a range of media to promote a positive image of the Branch.

• Responsible for the coordination of guest speakers and visits to schools and local community groups on behalf of the Branch Trustees.

• Responsible for coordinating visits to the Branch and Animal Centre.

 Health and Safety

• Responsible for all safety-related issues, including the ‘Health and Safety at Work’ Act, COSHH regulations, fire prevention, first aid at work and Trading Standards legislation and that the Branch is fully compliant.

• Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with Health and Safety requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a People Systems and Insight Analyst with experience in systems, data and reporting, and has strong analytical skills to join our passionate team.

As part of the People and Culture Directorate, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our people systems. You’ll be enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, so that we work efficiently and effectively, and our workforce has a seamless ‘user experience’.

Not only will you use your strong insight and analytical skills to investigate a range of internal and external data sets, you’ll also find compelling ways of presenting data to help us to answer key questions about our people and will actively make evidence-based recommendations that move us closer towards our goals.

The Role

Sitting within the High Value Engagement Team – comprising Trusts and Statutory, Philanthropy, Bids and Tenders, and Corporate Partnerships – the Trusts and Philanthropy Officer will build relationships with loyal and prospective donors, raising vital funds to power the Association’s work to support more people affected by stroke.

You will report into the Trusts and Grants Manager, with key responsibilities including:

· Raising income in line with agreed personal and team fundraising targets.

· Managing a portfolio of low- and mid-value trusts and foundations: working with internal colleagues to develop and prepare bespoke funding applications and reports.

· Managing the Small Trust Mailing programme (raising c.£80k/year).

· Prospect research: identifying and researching promising new donor prospects.

· Supporting the Philanthropy Team with prospecting, cultivation and stewardship of Major Donors, as needed.

About You

You will have:

· Knowledge of trust/philanthropy fundraising for a charitable organisation or equivalent.

· Experience of building and developing effective relationships in a professional setting.
