An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager at a leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. This role offers broad exposure across the finance function, from charity-specific reporting and grant management to commercial income and monthly accounts, making it ideal for someone looking to progress into a Finance Manager role and take the next step in their career.

Reporting to our Director of Finance, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function, with responsibility for transactional processes, month-end reporting, and working closely with colleagues across the organisation.  The role is part time (approximately 18-20 hours per week), based in our Chippenham office with some home working available.

We are looking for a Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to lead and develop a philanthropy and
partnerships donor base, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in the Oxford office.

The Role

Experience of managing a fundraising team.

About the role

Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
• Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
• Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
• Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
• Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.
• Represent Sightsavers and/or support staff delegations at conferences and networks to engage with and cultivate new donor relationships.
• Contribute to team, departmental, and wider organisational systems development and initiatives.

• Relevant experience working in the charity sector, ideally in international development.
• Experience of long-term grant/contract management of significant funders/clients.

About the role

Our best practice employer forum, Employers for Carers (EfC), works as a department of Carers UK and helps businesses create carer-friendly workplaces. With the change in employment law, now is an exciting time for our forum to grow in size and influence, ultimately helping millions more carers.

We are seeking a new business Account Executive to help grow the membership of Employers for Carers at this exciting time. While this role sits within the Income Generation and Communication directorate, it is not a fundraising role but focuses on selling our Employers for Carers product as earned income. As such, the successful candidate will meet with leading organisations to improve their workplace practices, engaging with HR and D&I teams.

For over 30 years, Tusk has worked to accelerate the impact of African-led conservation. The charity supports innovative projects across Africa that protect endangered species, promote sustainable community development, and combat the illegal wildlife trade. By forging powerful partnerships and securing vital funding, Tusk plays a crucial role in safeguarding wildlife and empowering local communities to thrive alongside nature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a high-impact philanthropy strategy, securing significant donations (5 and 6-figure gifts).
• Cultivate and manage relationships with HNWIs, Family Offices, and key donors.
• Lead the stewardship of Tusk’s Patron’s Circle and donor programmes.
• Organise high-profile fundraising events and donor cultivation activities.
• Oversee grant applications to charitable trusts and foundations.
• Support Tusk’s fundraising efforts in the USA.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Extensive fundraising experience in the charity sector.
• A strong network of philanthropic contacts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A passion for conservation and a solid understanding of African wildlife issues.

This full-time role is currently based at Tusk’s office in Gillingham, Dorset, but will shortly relocate to Tisbury, a village between Gillingham and Salisbury on the mainline from London Waterloo. Candidates based elsewhere, particularly along the corridor between Salisbury, Andover, Basingstoke, Winchester, Woking, Guildford, and Greater London, are strongly encouraged to apply. Regular attendance at the Tisbury office (ideally once or twice per week) will be expected. Some UK travel, including to London, as well as occasional evening and weekend events, will be required.

Tusk offers a salary of circa £55,000 per annum (negotiable), along with 25 days holiday, private medical healthcare, a stakeholder pension scheme, and death in service cover.

Main Purpose of the Post

To develop and maintain successful partnerships with corporate supporters and corporate foundations whose vision and goals align with Learning through Landscapes’ vision and mission. The role will focus on strategic, long-term, mutually beneficial relationships which help LtL achieve its mission through income generation and added value including staff volunteering, network-building, and probono support. 

Specific Duties

New business development

• Develop and progress a pipeline of new business development to secure corporate partnerships. 

• Develop and present engaging, creative and mutually beneficial proposals and applications for corporate partnerships. 

• Support the Fundraising Lead to identify prospective corporate foundations. 

• Support the Fundraising Lead with writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations. 

• Collaborate with LtL’s Communications team to reach target audiences with compelling messaging.

• Research and attend relevant networking events to open new partnership opportunities. 

Account management 

• Provide excellent account management and stewardship to strengthen partnerships, deepen corporate employee engagement and ensure relationship longevity. 

• Use data from LtL’s new Impact Measurement Framework to provide inspiring reports on what corporate partners have helped LtL to achieve. 

• Work with colleagues to identify and facilitate additional opportunities for corporate engagement, including practical volunteering opportunities and pro-bono work. 

Strategy and reporting

• Support the Management Team with the development of a Corporate Partnerships Strategy, including income targets and key performance indicators.

• Provide regular reports to the Management Team and stakeholders to measure progress towards targets. 

• Keep comprehensive and accurate records of all fundraising activity. 

General responsibilities

• Keep abreast of developments in UK fundraising and how these can benefit the work of LtL. 

• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with regulations and guidance, including being GDPR compliant and following the Code of Fundraising Practice and Charity Commission guidance. 

• Maintain a sound knowledge of LtL strategy, business plan and the case for investment in school grounds. 

• Support organisational goals by contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives. 

What you’ll need:

• Experience of securing and managing corporate partnerships, ideally in the charity, education, or environmental sectors

• Proven ability to develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to corporate audiences

• Strong relationship-building skills, with a track record of developing longterm, mutually beneficial partnerships

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing funding proposals and impact reports

• Commercial awareness and an understanding of how corporate social responsibility aligns with business objectives

• Confidence in networking and representing an organisation at external events

• Experience of planning and delivering partnership activities such as employee volunteering or pro-bono projects

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to deliver high-quality partnership experiences

• Knowledge of GDPR and fundraising regulations, including the Code of Fundraising Practice
