About The Role
The purpose of this role is to have overall responsibility for The Phoenix Way (TPW) Programme across the London, South and East regions and delegating day to day management South and East Regions to a dedicated Programme Manager. The role includes:
Strategic oversight of and accountability for the London, South and East regions of The Phoenix Way the creation of sustainable Black and racially minoritised communities and community-led organisations across three separate regions, with an in-depth focus on Greater London by ensuring there is an equitable stake in decisions relating to funding processes, priorities, funding allocations and beyond.
Collaborating with funders, statutory bodies, community organisations and voluntary sector, and other stakeholders committed to the development of an equitable future.
Actively supporting all funding bodies to seek change for diverse communities and deliver significant improvements in their organisation’s cultures, strategies, competences, and capabilities.
Helping funding bodies to adopt equitable policies and practises based on the evidence and learning garnered from the community organisations that receive funding and support from TPW.

Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: Warwickshire, Dispersed Accommodation (mainly based in South Warwickshire)
Salary: £25,857.12 per annum
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.
You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.
The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.
The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.
The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will support key stakeholders through detailed reporting, insightful analysis, and actionable financial insights. In this role, you’ll provide strategic recommendations on critical financial decisions, ensuring that finance is central to decision-making at LSBU.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Following the agreed process, conduct the annual budget setting process for the partnered units.
- Deliver finance business partnering services, including: budget setting, business case review, aiding comprehension of financial reports, financial approver maintenance, monthly forecasting, and providing advice and insight to budget holders.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to stakeholders in the partnered units. This will often include a combination of financial and non-financial data to deliver information that improves decision making and planning.
- Following the agreed timetable, produce accurate monthly forecasts for the partnered units. Follow consistent processes and templates, and engage constructively with efforts to improve the efficiency of those processes.
- For the partnered units, maintain an accurate record of financial approvers on the finance system. This includes making any necessary changes, and regularly monitoring the financial approvers to ensure they are correct.
- Review, and seek regular feedback from stakeholders on, the usefulness of the suite of financial reports available to budget holders. Pass feedback to the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering and the Head of Financial Reporting & Analysis.
- Using the suite of training materials developed by senior members of the team, deliver regular training to budget holders in the partnered units.

- In the final stages of becoming qualified with a professional accountancy body (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Finance business partnering to non-finance professionals.
- Working in close partnership with other professional functions (e.g. HR, IT), with a supportive and collegiate style.
- Closely following defined processes, including complex processes, requiring a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to conduct basic financial modelling, combining data from multiple sources to provide useful information for decision making purposes.
- Interpersonal skills, and the ability to put across financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Excel.
- Good technical accounting knowledge and the ability to apply it to practical scenarios.
- Good time management skills.
