In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Strategy, vision and impact [25%]
- Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
- Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
- Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets
Leadership, line management and training [25%]
- Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
- Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
- Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme
Relationship management [20%]
- Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
- Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
- Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room
Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]
- Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
- Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
- Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment
Operations [10%]
- Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room.
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.
Training the Assistant Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Programme Managers with overall team training and development.
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run by Junction Community Trust in partnership with St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise, you will be required to establish a strong personal presence at the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

Through making social media posts, creating engaging content or writing stories, you’ll play an integral role in communicating our impact and stories to our key audiences.
At Horatio’s Garden, we build and look after extraordinary gardens in the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. These gardens are a critical part of rehabilitation and offer reflection and adjustment, privacy and solace, joy and companionship to all who need it. We lead regular gardening sessions to grow and cultivate plants, arts workshops to offer new skills and a programme of live music and events. Designed to be enjoyed all year round, these gardens offer a warm, welcoming place for family and friends who may have travelled hours for a visit.
Our vision is for everyone with a spinal injury to have a Horatio’s Garden as part of their rehabilitation care.
The charity is growing. We have eight garden projects open and are fundraising for our ninth garden in Middlesbrough.
This role will assist with the content creation of engaging written, film and visual content across different platforms, scheduling and moderating our social channels, and helping us report on our digital activity. You will support the rollout of the new regional social media channels for each garden to help place storytelling and impact at the heart of our communications.
It would suit someone looking to start or build their career in the communications field or charity sector to develop experience in developing content, writing and charity campaigning. There will be opportunities for training and development and you will travel between the charity’s UK-wide gardens and meet patients, volunteers and staff.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week) based in the charity’s office in Salisbury with the ability to discuss some flexible working after the six month probation period.
You will be reporting to the Communications Manager.
Main duties
1. Help manage the day-to-day running of the charity’s social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook). Schedule content and respond to comments and messages to foster positive engagement and add value to the supporter experience
2. Work closely with the team to produce subscriber, campaign-led and post-event newsletter content and manage the subscriber database
3. Contribute to the charity’s content calendar and work creatively and collaboratively with the communications and wider charity team to proactively seek and develop story ideas
4. Create engaging content in support of charity objectives and reflecting our brand and tone guidelines
5. Assist with internal communications to convey key updates to staff
6. Assist in maintaining and updating Horatio’s Garden’s main website
7. Help to manage the charity’s digital assets, ensuring the team have access to the most impactful photographs and videos for their needs
8. Collate, analyse and present monthly reports on social media, newsletter and website activity and engagement against key performance metrics
9. Assist with planning and promotion of campaigns and track press activity
10. Keep up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies
General duties

Skills required

Role Purpose
We’re looking for a flexible and self-motivated Project Assistant to join our team in Newcastle, supporting the delivery of our Home from Hospital and Community Support project.
Preventing admissions, and re-admissions, to hospital is crucial for the NHS. Re-admissions alone cost the NHS over £2 billion per year, and no-one wants to be in hospital when they can be recovering safely and comfortably at home. The Home from Hospital project was developed to help enable people to thrive back at home, and in the community, while at the same time supporting the NHS.
We recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers, who provide a “little bit of help” to people who may be socially isolated, have health issues, or don’t have many people around them.
Our volunteers provide social, emotional or practical support, completing short-term tasks for up to 6 weeks. This includes tasks such as helping with grocery shopping, collecting and delivering medical prescriptions, in person or telephone check in’s, driving someone to an appointment, helping with paperwork, ensuring the home is safe and secure, and lots more!
As our Project Assistant, you will:
· Work closely with Volunteering Matters colleagues in a flexible and agile way, taking instruction and responding quickly to ensure beneficiaries and volunteers have the best possible experience
· Face to face and telephone contact with older people taking part in the project, completing practical, social, or wellbeing tasks to meet their individual needs
· Administrative tasks including providing updates to colleagues on project activities, processing paperwork, and other computer-based tasks to help ensure the smooth delivery of the programme
· Support with the promotion of the project across Newcastle in order to attract new volunteers and generate referrals – this may include drafting content, public speaking and giving presentations
This role is part of a fast-paced and responsive workplace environment. In order to meet the needs of the programme, we are looking for a candidate who can offer significant flexibility when it comes to working hours – ideally over 4 days per week.

We are seeking a Trainee Administrative Assistant to join our small and supportive team in Fulham.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the charity sector. In this role, you will:
- Provide frontline support by answering our helpline, emails, and letters (with full training and supervision).

This is a hybrid role, with two days a week at our Worthing Home to build strong relationships and gain a deeper understanding of our work. There may also be occasional visits to outside events and to Royal Star & Garter’s other Homes as needed.
Purpose of the role
- To provide excellent customer care to all donors, delivering optimum supporter journeys working effectively with the wider team within the Royal Star & Garter (RSG) group
- To manage all associated fundraising payment processes and procedures and work effectively with finance to manage safe and effective banking and reconciliations
- To provide fundraising support across the department and locations of our services in respect of a range of activities including fundraising events

Supporter care
- To be proactive in enabling the supporter journey with timely communications (phone, email and letters) and clear stewardship with both existing and new donors
- Ensure effective frontline support and response for donors across a range of incoming systems
- Ensure donation processes and procedures are adhered to and executed in a timely manner, in accordance with guidelines – updating those wherever required with approval by the RSG Fundraising Officer.
Donations and data entry
- Ensure that the fundraising CRM database is up to date and that supporters contact and financial data is accurate, including creating new records
- Complete weekly banking and allocation tasks in accordance with the approved process, liaising with the finance department to ensure that all batched income is allocated correctly
- Data inputting on the CRM to include: regular giving, importing income from external agencies including CAF and Just Giving, processing Gift Aid and accurately storing declarations
- Filing and management of paperwork, ensuring due diligence and security measures are followed.
Fundraising & volunteer support
- To provide active support to a range of events including: managing participants, sending information, monitoring online giving pages and on the day set up and pack down
- To directly source donated items and contributors to support fundraising events including raffle/auction prizes and coordinating suppliers, stallholders and entertainers
- Coordinate and communicate with volunteers for events and corporate volunteering days and activities, ensuring they are briefed and supported
- To support any regular mailings or email contact to supporters, assisting with the cleaning and compliance of data once an agreed annual schedule is in place regular.
Other
- To manage all aspects of incoming fundraising post and dedicated inboxes along with outgoing mailings
- Ensure general department are kept up to date including attendance at meetings within RSG group wherever possible
- To be conversant with relevant fundraising legislation and the guidelines of the
Fundraising Regulator and the GDPR

Prospectus is working with our client to recruit a Major Donor Manager. The charity has a trusted presence in communities across the country, offering practical and emotional support to some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As Major Donor Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth supporters, securing and stewarding five and six figure multi-year commitments. You will develop new donor relationships, expand existing ones, and deliver compelling cases for support across priority projects. The postholder will line manage the Major Donor Assistant, while working closely with colleagues across the organisation to create opportunities, inspire investment, and deliver against ambitious income targets.
To succeed, you will bring proven experience in major donor fundraising with a track record of securing significant donations from high value donors for a variety of projects. You will have excellent relationship management skills, confidence in making asks, and the ability to use data-driven insights to shape cultivation strategies. Strong communication, research, and writing skills are essential, alongside the ability to plan effectively and navigate complex organisations.
Salary: £37,596 to £43,021 (pay band 06)
Hybrid working: 2 days in the London headquarters
