ROLE PURPOSE:
This role is focused on supporting the growth of the ShelterBox Book Club. You'll help create engaging content and foster a community of passionate Book Club members. With a love of books and excellent customer service you'll create meaningful connections with members and steward them to becoming life-long Book Club members and ShelterBox supporters.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and ambitious team and play a key role in helping to make ShelterBox Book Club a household name. The role will seek to build awareness of ShelterBox Book Club, increase social engagement and build communities across our social channels.
This is an exciting role, full of variety and the chance to work on one of the charity sectors most innovative and unique products.

The Sheppard Trust provides homes for older women in housing need, and we support them to live independently. We reduce loneliness and isolation by fostering a supportive community spirit.
We're about to move to brand-new, purpose built accommodation near Hampton Court village in Surrey, with 60 one bedroomed flats and a range of communal facilities. Our residents will live independently in their homes, with assistance to access the appropriate support services to maintain independence.We want them to live full and active lives in an inclusive, thriving community which is well regarded in our local community.

We’re looking for someone proactive and flexible to help us for the first six months, as we set up the building, set up our new systems, and move everyone in. This will be a really varied role where no two days are the same, and will be a mixture of administration and practical tasks. You could be getting our staff kitchen set up, preparing the paperwork for a new resident, helping someone set up their heating controls or utility accounts, setting up and updating databases, answering queries at reception, logging maintenance tasks or helping with an event.
You might well have some housing experience already, or have worked with older people, but we also value transferrable skills, lived values and the ability to learn quickly.
An enhanced DBS check will be required. This will be a fixed term contract from mid-July 2026 for six months. We are open to offering this role on either a full time basis or an alternative working pattern of at least 25 hours per week.

Independent living for older women in housing need
About the Roundhouse:
The Roundhouse is a youth charity and independent multi-arts venue based in Camden, London. We've spent the past 20 years shaping the UK’s cultural landscape as a home for world-class music, boundary-breaking theatre, circus, poetry and immersive installations. We're also the UK’s leading creative centre for young people, engaging more than 10,000 young people annually through our creative youth programme.
The Role:
This role is a part-time permanent contract designed to provide admin and practical support around donor-facing events and comms. It has been created to support reaching ambitious targets in our 20th anniversary year and beyond, contributing to the P&P team's goals of driving £2 million in income growth across the business plan to 2028.
The role will enable our P&P team to focus on philanthropic relationship building, and support the administration of our impactful, high-quality cultivation and stewardship events calendar, as well as general supporter stewardship. The role will also work closely with our Finance and Data teams to keep organisational knowledge up to date, in line with best practice and the fundraising code, to ensure a smooth donor experience.
Weekend and evening work will be required according to business needs.
About you:
This role would suit someone detail-oriented, with strong organisational and planning skills and excellent customer service. They will be able to communicate clearly across all levels of stakeholders, internally and externally, and thrive as part of a fast-paced team. They will have experience of using CRM databases (ideally Tessitura) and be confident handling data. This is a varied role, which will span various events and different groups of supporters.

This is a hands-on role that moves between two registers: structured qualitative research with proper analytical underpinning, and fast-turnaround reactive policy work. You will need to be genuinely comfortable in both able to run a multi-month thematic publication and turn around a tight briefing or consultation response within 48-72 hours when a policy window opens.
The role will lead The Difference's qualitative research and insight function, including research workstreams tied to the Difference Schools Partnership's annual thematic priorities, and our Harmful and Abusive Behaviours (HaB) workstream convening a sector council to build a shared framework for how schools understand and respond to peer-on-peer harm. You will produce briefings, evidence submissions and publications, manage external research partners, and work with the CEO, Head of Policy and Communications team to launch research with real impact. The role reports to the Head of Policy and works closely with colleagues across Strategy, Research and Programmes.
