This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward.
About this role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Assistant to join the Charity team here at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital.
The postholder will work closely with the Philanthropy Support Lead to provide operational support and administration for the team, including events, donor meetings and visits, mailings, prospect research, data and use of the charity CRM (Salesforce).
We’re looking for a flexible team player with previous administration experience. You’ll also be self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and great at building relationships. If you’re excited by the sound of this, we’d love to hear from you!

Additional Information
In April 2025, the charity adopted a four-day working week policy. Staff previously working 37.5 hours now work 30 hours across four days, maintaining full pay while supporting a better work-life balance.

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative Communications and Brand Manager (Partnerships) to join a small, friendly and ambitious team in a varied role with genuine opportunity for development and impact. While the role is primarily fundraising focused, you will support the delivery of the wider Warm Welcome Communications Strategy.
In this role, you will work across all aspects of communications strategy including, PR, events, brand asset development, storytelling, digital marketing, and campaigns.
Act as the primary communications adviser for the fundraising team, including the Corporate Partnerships Manager and corporate partners, identifying communications opportunities and advising on strategic messaging, content, PR and tactics.
Manage the development and execution of communications strategies for Warm Welcome’s flagship partnerships, specialising in maximising brand impact and income-raising potential.
Deliver communications strategies to inspire audiences and support organisational goals, working closely with colleagues across the Communications and Fundraising, and with external partners.
Develop stand out creative ideas for campaigns and activations to shape and deliver integrated activities that cut through, including Warm Welcome Week.
Act as a brand ambassador, advising and supporting the team to deliver brand-aligned messaging and content. Plus, crafting messaging and designing brand assets, marketing materials, presentations and resources.
Create content to show the impact of Warm Welcome Spaces, including delivering hard-hitting press releases and impact reports.
Create content for social media channels, website and digital newsletters.
Develop case studies and organise photoshoots to tell the Warm Welcome story for positive change.
Support the delivery of the Patrons and Ambassadors Strategy.
Help manage the systems and processes needed for effective partnership and stakeholder management, including CRM use, reporting and tracking.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Warm Welcome Campaign to connect partners with Warm Welcome Spaces and activities across the UK.

The award-winning ISM is the dynamic, change making professional body representing musicians. With a current membership of over 11,000, the ISM is known for its wide range of services to its members from legal to health and wellbeing. We are also known for our campaigning work on issues from music education to AI and Brexit.
The ISM is now looking for a highly experienced Administrator and Secretary to work alongside the Chief Executive. You will have very strong administrative skills as well as advanced knowledge of using Microsoft office packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. You must have experience of ensuring good governance at Board level including preparing Board papers and drafting and circulating Board minutes. This is a critical part of the role as well as drafting a wide variety of correspondence.
You will also be responsible for aspects of risk management such as health and safety. The Chief Executive is a senior leader in the music sector so you will need to be able to demonstrate absolute loyalty, discretion and confidentiality as well as excellent common sense and good judgement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate annual calendar of volunteer training events
· Work in partnership with the Volunteer Development Manager to understand volunteer recruitment needs across services and the wider team.
· Liaise with services teams to plan and develop the calendar of volunteer training events, both in person and virtual.
· Manage relationships with training venues ensuring desired dates are secured early in line with event requirements and budgets.

The role
The Publishing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the timely delivery of publications by assisting with the editorial processes for book publications and the Journal of the British Academy.
Your role will involve building excellent working relationships with authors, editors, and key stakeholders and managing time effectively while undertaking day-to-day publishing administration. You will manage proposal submissions, organise peer reviews, and keep publications moving by tracking deadlines and chasing updates where needed. You’ll be in regular contact with academics and colleagues, so being clear, professional, and approachable in your communication is key.
This role would suit someone who is early in their publishing career or looking to move into academic publishing who enjoys working with people and managing processes. A demonstrable interest in the humanities and social sciences is essential. Previous experience in publishing is beneficial but not required.
