Job summary
 
Reporting to the head of growth and sitting within the engagement team you will:

• recruit volunteers by promoting Re-engage’s services,
• develop effective relationships with new and existing referrers such as social prescribers and community link workers
• identify and cultivate new, innovative referral pathways to connect with a broader demographic of seniors experiencing social isolation and loneliness
• support the wider Re-engage team in the delivery of our grant funded projects

 
Engagement officer tasks and requirements

• Growing and developing our network of referral partners, including social prescribers and link workers, ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to people aged 75 who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
• Partnering with communities to create regular, volunteer led, social gatherings for people aged 75
• Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times.
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
• Working effectively as part of a regional team, maintaining, and growing all Re-engage services.
• Joint accountability, with colleagues in the region, for the engagement of older people and recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services
• Carrying out any other reasonable tasks assigned to you by your line manager.

We are recruiting for an experienced Area Manager to oversee 15 dedicated shop teams in the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate team work closely with people who use our services to change and save lives. You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) is a community benefit society and cooperative working with communities to identify, mitigate and remove barriers that prevent them from living active and connected lives.

In 2024, TAWS was given the opportunity pilot a Surplus Hub Project at Birmingham Wholesale Market, where edible waste food destined for anaerobic digestion can be diverted to human consumption. To purpose of this role is to maximise the amount of surplus food available to the Food Justice Network groups via the Birmingham Wholesale Markets.

Food Redistribution Manager:

The Food Justice Network is a network of around 300 independent partner organisations, all of who are providing support across the city. FJN Partners offer a range of services from foodbanks to community cafes, to community pantries and warm spaces, all delivering vital support to some of Birmingham's most vulnerable citizens.

Your role will be the sourcing and procuring farming surplus and collective buying of fresh produce for the Food Justice Network. Part of this opportunity will be facilitating the set-up of a city-wide network to make surplus food redistribution more coordinated and effective.

There is already a significant amount of surplus food redistributed across the city and lots of work going on in terms of reducing waste in businesses but we know that sometimes unexpected surplus food arises and not every food business is plugged in to the surplus food network.

Alongside the core of the role, you will also be managing two to three people who you will be working in conjunction with but on separate projects.

This will provide less reasons for businesses to waste food with a strong, well connected and promoted network.

The responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Business Partner will include:

• Producing management accounts for relevant budget holders and contributing to GPA’s client budget process
• Provide advice on financial treatment of project costs to ensure that all items are correctly assessed for capitalisation, and that the treatment of abortive costs and feasibility works are appropriately treated as RDEL, while being allocated to the correct projects
• Contributing to property reconciliations to ensure all expenditure has been fully recovered from tenants
• Attendance at monthly stakeholder meetings to support the management of projects, supply chain and client relationships

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about collaboration and community-led change. As a Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of supporters with a view to growing this pool to deliver a mixture of revenue which can sustain and grow our ambitions and work. This will involve taking responsibility for nurturing and growing an existing philanthropic pool of funders whilst identifying, cultivating and mapping new high value opportunities, in excess of £75k. For your portfolio you will manage donor acquisition strategies, proposal writing and stewardship and supporter journey planning. 

The role involves securing funding from various sources, including trusts, corporations, and individuals, to support the charity’s mission. This includes developing and maintaining strong donor relationships, managing a portfolio of donors, and managing fundraising pipelines.

The ideal candidate will therefore be proactive, results-driven, and skilled in developing insight-led strategies, managing solicitations, along with the ability to create processes, gather insights, and propose budgets.
