Responsibilities:

These include

1. To actively seek a thorough understanding of the membership base and the issues affecting them, creating member profiles and advising and briefing stakeholders accordingly.
2. To develop a compelling offer by profile / career stage so as to maintain and improve member retention and engagement levels, and to maximise new member acquisition.
3. To maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of services and activities and ensure these are being packaged and communicated in the most effective way.
4. To oversee the implementation of regular market research, including competitor analysis, to identify members/stakeholder needs, to support the rationale for the development of member products and services, and to liaise with and advise other stakeholders as appropriate.
5. To develop member communications in particular around membership renewals and the on-boarding of new members, and to ensure a high-quality member experience.
6. To ensure that membership communications at all touch points within the membership journey or as part of a non-member relationship, remain relevant and up to date.

Personal Specification:

ROLE DESCRIPTION  

As Finance and Operations officer, you will report to the Operations and Systems Manager and will be a key member of the Operations team. This role is vital to the support of the wider organisation, being the go-to person for financial, HR and IT enquiries. 

In this role at Get Further, you’ll have the opportunity to build on your operational experience within a dynamic and mission-driven charity. No two days are the same, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to a range of projects that help drive our work forward. Finance Administration 

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including importing and coding invoices for approval, raising sales invoices, and supporting bank reconciliation.

• Manage credit control by coordinating weekly payment runs and liaising with debtors to ensure timely payment.

HR and Policy Administration

As Development Manager you will:

· Deepen relationships with existing supporters by developing and delivering an impactful stewardship framework for individual donors.

· Work in consultation with the marketing team to create inspiring and relevant communication strategy for individual supporters with a focus on impact, to include regular feedback mechanisms to improve stewardship plans and engagement.

· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through developing individual prospecting processes, prospect research, and developing qualified prospect pipelines to secure income from individual supporters and major donors. With an initial focus on the Vicars’ Close project and developing in line with future priorities.

· Work with the Director of Development to develop an inspiring range of bespoke cultivation plans for Major Donors.

· Design, deliver and support a range of unique events to inspire supporters and cultivate new relationships, bringing to life the extraordinary work of the Cathedral. Work across the cathedral to integrate fundraising into existing events and programmes.

· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling proposals for Major Donors and creation of robust budgets. Amplify project impact through inspiring reports and personalised engagement opportunities.

· Develop, manage and deliver Wells Cathedral’s individual giving programmes, including Planned Giving, regular inspiring appeals and individual giving opportunities as part of priority projects.

· Strengthen supporter relationships across the organisation, working with the Cathedral leadership team, Chapter and project leads to support engagement with individual donors and Major Donors.

· Develop and implement plans to keep existing donors engaged, with opportunities to increase their level of giving over time and in line with projects and targeted appeals.

· Regularly report progress to the Development Director and Cathedral Chapter on the individual giving income pipeline, supporter engagement, upcoming opportunities, and challenges.

· Keep up to date with trends and good practice and identify opportunities to improve and develop Wells Cathedral’s individual giving.

· Utilise CRM as an effective Relationship Management tool and develop robust prospecting processes.

· As the Cathedral’s Gift in Wills strategy develops, support engagement opportunities for individual supporters and develop appropriate processes to support this area.

· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy.

· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

Protect, the UK’s leading whistleblowing charity, is looking for an exceptional public-spirited Policy & Advocacy Officer, who will lead our anti-corruption work. The role is currently funded by the Joffe Charitable Trust. The role is 3 days (22.5hours) per week; can be spread over 3-5 days.  

The role is London based with hybrid and remote working options & occasional travel to Westminster. 

The role will entail proactively looking for advocacy opportunities and working with the Policy Team in Protect to progress important public policies, which further the protection of whistleblowers, support safe speaking up and tackle corruption in the UK.

In this role, you’ll be part of the small network engagement team, working alongside the volunteering and participation team, in the Communities and Participation directorate.

You’ll assist with supporting, championing and enabling effective collaboration with the network of county-based local CPRE charities across England.

This role has a communications focus and involves editing a weekly email newsletter and an intranet. You’ll be the first point of contact for local CPRE staff and volunteers with queries about the work of their local charities. You’ll organise and support online meetings and events and be involved with measuring and reporting the effectiveness of our work.

The Communities and Participation team is mainly home-based, so applications are encouraged from remote workers with the expectation of travel to meetings and events approximately twice a month, for which expenses are covered.

Full training will be given in all aspects of this role, along with ongoing support and opportunities for development.

You'll be bringing a strategic mindset as well as strong practical skills - from writing engaging content, overseeing multimedia production, and optimising email campaigns, to interpreting data in GA4 to improve performance. You should be confident working across various CMS platforms and multiple channels, with an eye for accessible, user-focused design and messaging.

• Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for major donor income, aligned with CAP's overall strategic priorities.
• Execution of market research and competitor analysis to identify new funding opportunities and best practice in Philanthropic fundraising.
• Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, in order to identify points of engagement and draft appropriate funding bids.

Major Donor Development

• Manage a designated caseload of high-net-worth individuals or trusts, cultivating deep and meaningful relationships.

• Implement a donor recognition program to acknowledge and celebrate major donor support.
