Camp Jojo is currently in transition. Over the first 8 years it has worked from one established site in Mersea, Essex; but we are now opening a second site near Appleby in Cumbria. The role of Program Manager will work across the whole organisation, towards the successful development of the values and the proven model in a second site; and its partnership with the Essex site will be an important part of the role.
Camp Jojo is growing from a young, largely trustee led, organisation to a staff team led organisation. Again this role will be a fundamental part of that transition. This is a predominantly an operational post, and not responsible for the finances of organisation, though it will deliver operations within the board approved budget. They will also sit on, or chair, several of the Committees of the charity; including the Senior Operations Team.
The role will offer leadership to key functions of Camp Jojo, Camp Jojo staff and contractors, and to members of the Camp Jojo Board, in relation to the work of the charity. Whilst the majority of the work will be remote the incumbent will be required to attend some meetings and events in person, including at both sites. They will also be required to attend at least part of the actual camp events. They may need to work flexibly, according to the seasonal demands of the charity.
The Program Manager will have a varied and sometimes high-pace job environment. As such, they will need to handle multiple tasks, manage their own time well, interact professionally with the Camp Jojo community and be very good communicators. They will deal with model consistency, values, and operational issues across both sites.

Community Rail Network is a not-for-profit organisation, working across Britain to support a growing ‘community rail’ movement. Community rail promotes sustainable and inclusive travel, coordinates volunteering and place-making projects, and brings people together.
Community rail is made up of 75 community-based partnership organisations, 1,300 station friends volunteer groups, and other community-led initiatives around Britain. Their activities range from creative projects with young people, to advising train operators on service improvements, to building travel confidence with families and marginalised groups, to biodiversity projects at stations, to promoting greener travel and tourism by rail.

Responsibilities
Programme coordination, delivery and monitoring and evaluation:

Ensure good coordination and communication between delivery partners and support their high-quality delivery in line with timeframes and requirements, including via steering group meetings and individual support.

Offer support, guidance and ideas to our delivery partners to assist their work, helping them to build capacity and confidence and meet their objectives. This includes support to engage with, and draw on the experiences, ideas and voices of disabled people.

Support delivery partners in developing and embedding co-creation principles and empowering ways of working for their projects, drawing on good practice and expertise.

Work with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate positive collaboration and help develop our wider network while supporting project objectives and raising awareness about this work.

Produce communications content to support project delivery, such as case studies and blogs, and work with our Communications and Policy team to promote the programme, its achievements, and amplify the voices/views/needs of the disabled people engaged.

Manage the delivery of a accompanying small grant fund (using/adapting our existing processes and systems) for other community rail partnerships/groups to deliver travel confidence initiatives with disabled people. Provide similar support and advice to those grant-funded to that offered to the core delivery partners, in line with their needs.

Support monitoring, data collection and meaningful evaluation by all core and grant-funded delivery partners, ensuring this is in line with project reporting requirements, and serves our goals around legacy-building and empowering those involved.

Monitor and review project objectives, troubleshooting any issues in a timely manner.

Financial management of the grant budget, managing internal (Community Rail Network) budget spend as well as monitoring the delivery partner budgets in partnership with the project leads, ensuring these are in line with agreed grant funding.
Grant administration, reporting and liaison

Maintain and develop relations with the grant provider, ensuring we meet reporting deadlines and other requirements (such as attendance at progress meetings).

Work with project partners to agree the data set requirements and outcome parameters for evaluation, and provide suitable reporting tools.

Produce guidance and tools to support wider delivery across community rail and beyond, working with our member support and communications teams.

Work with colleagues, members and partners to raise wider awareness about the project and its findings and build a legacy. This includes set up and delivery of a member webinar (with support from the events team) to share project experiences.
Team and partnership working (as relevant and appropriate)

Contribute to the wider objectives and development of Community Rail Network by sharing project progress and learning and offering advice and input. Work with our member support & development team to help embed lessons from the project and improve our ongoing support for members on rail confidence initiatives and the involvement and empowerment of disabled people.

Skills and competencies

Other information
This post is home-based, but with some travel (including occasional overnight stays) for project meetings, events and external meetings. Applicants will need local access to a train station to enable rail-based travel for work as needed.
This is a fixed term contract and includes a probationary period of three months from the date of appointment. What is the overall purpose of the role?

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child.
With 142 Member Societies made up of anaesthesiologists in 151 countries, the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is uniquely placed to influence these inequalities and help ensure universal access to safe surgery and safe anaesthesia.
As Governance Manager you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, professional, and effective governance service across the Federation and associated entities. You will work closely with our CEO, Governance & Programmes Officer, Board and other volunteers and leaders as required to deliver a number of key governance activities. About the role

About you
To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.
It’s essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. The project provides the following for Irish Traveller young people 11-19 years old including;
- A weekly girls’ workshop
- Targeted mentoring and support - helping them to stay in education, enrol in college, seek work opportunities, and access additional support services.
- Off-site holiday activities

Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Plan and deliver an innovative, progressive programme of activities, developed in collaboration with young people and colleagues.
- Create safe, supportive spaces that foster personal and social development.
- Deliver 1 to1 and group support sessions through a variety of methods (in-person, phone, digital), providing advice, guidance, mentoring, and signposting to other services.
- Organise trips, workshops, and positive activities in line with the project delivery plan.
Project & Partnership Management
- Lead the day-to-day operational and administrative management of the project.
- Develop and manage partnerships with schools, local agencies, and trusted community stakeholders.
- Represent YAA at borough, London-wide, and partnership meetings to champion Traveller young people’s voices.
- Manage project budgets, expenditure records, and ensure assets and equipment are safeguarded.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Record attendance, case notes, and data consistently and accurately in the online database.

- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management and the Board of Trustees.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts by demonstrating impact and supporting applications to secure sustainable funding.

This role will focus on our Books Together project. We are looking for someone to deliver interactive book sharing workshops for parents and their children aged 2 to 5.
This role would suit someone with experience in working with young children and families in educational or community settings, strong communication and group facilitation skills and knowledge of early childhood development and the importance of early literacy. We are looking for someone warm, approachable, and sensitive to the diverse needs of families.
You will need to feel confident encouraging parent-child interaction through guided activities and discussions and creating a positive, supportive environment that empowers parents to engage in reading at home. What is the overall purpose of the role?
