1.Duties and key responsibilities
Donor Stewardship and Reporting
•Research, manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of donors informing, educating, and inspiring them about MAP’s work, and asking them for donations either directly in application or facilitating asks by peers.
•Create a personal plan for each ‘qualified’ donor, taking into account the individual donor’s interest, motivations, giving patterns, any information they need to support our work. Execute that plan on a timely basis plan so that individuals are retained and upgraded.
•Work with colleagues to secure appropriate project information, including budgets, to create effective offers, proposals and cases for support.
•Create reports that accurately reflect activity and performance for donors who have supported specific projects, to show the impact of their gift
•Ensure that all major givers in your portfolio are provided with the highest level of stewardship and take overall responsibility for your own contacts and annual workplan.
•Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system on all existing and prospective donors.
•Provide regular reports to the Philanthropy Manager and Head of Philanthropy.
•Develop relationships with Trustees, Patrons and other ambassadors/high net worth volunteer fundraisers of MAP, where appropriate.
Events
•Ensure that appropriate donors/prospects/influencers are invited to cultivation and fundraising events and to attend these events in the UK.
•Support in the development of Philanthropy team events, including dinners, receptions, and donor field visits, as part of a project team
General
•Work closely with colleagues in the Philanthropy team and other colleagues, maximising all opportunities and supporting a dynamic, successful, and professional team

What the job involves
We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. As we embark on an exciting 3-year fundraising strategy, we’re looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This is a newly created role within the team which will oversee acquisition and new product development.
You’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising strategy and continue investment in Acquisition. In this role you’ll take ownership of planning, implementing and reporting on fully integrated acquisition campaigns across a range of channels including DRTV, Digital, Telephone, SMS and OOH.
You’ll work closely with teams from across the organisation and our media agency to ensure a truly integrated, collaborative approach. Together with the team, you’ll identify opportunities, apply learnings from past campaigns, and enhance future performance.
You’ll also be integral to driving forward new product development to acquire new regular givers. Leading on testing across the Acquisition team, you’ll innovate to drive the lowest attrition, best ROI and strongest lifetime value. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights.
What we want from you
Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment managing fully integrated campaigns, you’ll also have strong digital campaign management experience, ideally gained from a fundraising environment. You’ll have experience in developing and implementing effective testing strategies and ideally also have experience in developing new marketing or fundraising products.
You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. the3million is the largest grassroots organisation for EU citizens* in the UK, formed after the 2016 referendum to protect the rights of people who have made the UK their home.
Our work ranges from organising EU citizens’ communities and informing people about their rights, to holding the Government to account on the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement and advocating for social justice.
We are now looking for a Research and Policy Manager to lead on evidence-based research and support in the analysis of government policy and legislation which impacts EU citizens in the UK.
We are looking for a creative problem solver who is detail orientated and approaches research through an investigative lens.
This work often intersects with the wider issues of social justice, migrant rights, race equality, and data rights.
You will work closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy to direct strategic research initiatives, presenting recommendations to influence decision-makers and guide advocacy efforts, ensuring the3million’s campaigns are informed and led by robust evidence of EU citizens’ lived experience.
*the3million uses ‘EU citizens’ as shorthand for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who were resident in the UK before 31 December 2020, and their family members (of any nationality) with derived rights.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Strategic research and issue analysis
You will lead on the3million’s research, working closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy to ensure our work is shaped by lived experience, analysing issues experienced by EU citizens related to applying for immigration status, proving their rights and accessing services in the UK.
- Collect, analyse and categorise issues raised by EU citizens through the3million’s reporting channels, including highlighting correlations to equality characteristics such as race and ethnicity, age, gender etc (including our ReportIt! system, email, social media and listening campaigns).
- Interview EU citizens who report issues, sharing information about rights, signposting to relevant legal advice organisations.
- Identify trends in the challenges faced by EU citizens, documenting these in detail, analysing systemic issues.
- Provide strategic guidance on how research findings can inform the3million’s advocacy, campaigns and communications activities.
2. Policy development and advocacy
- Contribute to the production of high-quality policy briefings, reports and strategic recommendations that are clear, actionable and directly relevant to stakeholders including the Government.
- Support in the research and analysis of government policy developments, legislative changes and public consultations affecting EU citizens in the UK, specifically on areas related to immigration and welfare, assessing their potential impact.
3. Report writing and presentation
- Lead on the development of in-depth reports and support in the production of policy papers and position statements, presenting complex data into clear and accessible documents.
- Present research findings and policy recommendations at meetings and events, effectively communicating complex issues to audiences.
- Contribute to the production of advocacy materials, including media briefings, campaigns’ resources and informational content for the3million’s website, social media channels and for event distribution.

About the role
The DAPO Project Manager will work closely with the DAPO Programme Manager and SafeLives Finance Manager to support the successful delivery of the programme and maintain effective commissioning relationships with service providers across each pilot area. We are looking for an experienced Public Affairs professional to manage and oversee RNIB's work in Parliament and build powerful relationships with the right politicians to drive change for blind and partially sighted people.
With your creativity and attention to detail, you'll make sure that RNIB is top of mind for sight loss in Parliament, that accessibility is well understood by politicians, and that our internal expertise is showcased to politicians to drive change in line with our strategy.
In this new role, you'll drive excellence in public affairs activity, with a forensic attention to detail, a flair for people, and lots of creativity in communications.
You'll build relationships with the right people to open doors for us, and use them effectively in targeted initiatives to make policy effective for blind and partially sighted people.
You'll make sure that the views and experiences of blind or partially sighted people underpin our public affairs strategy and are championed in how we tell our stories.
You'll manage and support staff in the public affairs team, which is made up of an officer and an assistant. The role will evaluate and guiding performance, and providing mentoring and coaching as necessary.
You'll ensure our public affairs activity aligns with our team planning, and delivers strategic outcomes, in line with organisational strategy, and establishing productive relationships with a range of internal stakeholders in other parts of RNIB.
You'll have strong knowledge of the workings of Parliament, and experience of building exceptional ongoing relationships with MPs, Peers and party decision-makers. In this exciting yet challenging role as Emotional Support Worker, you will provide valuable support to survivors of sexual abuse and their loved ones, through our helpline service. Last year, around 2,400 people contact us via this crucial service. Our helpline is a starting point for support, as men and boy’s take their first steps reaching out for help. We are also integral to the SurvivorsUK eco-system, providing support to client’s on our counselling waiting list and helping survivors navigate the different support options that are available.
We provide emotional support, information and signposting through a national helpline service, which is offered via Webchat, SMS, Email, and soon to be offered via WhatsApp and telephone. We are open from 10am to 8pm, 7 days per week.

What you’ll do
As one of our first Primary Schools Partnership Managers, you’ll play a key role growing our newest partner base and supporting primary school partners to make the most of the Unifrog platform and resources. POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe.
The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer.
This position requires excellent organisational, administrative, and stakeholder management skills, particularly within the charity or philanthropic sector.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, donation tracking, gift processing, and donor stewardship in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.
- Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
- Collaborate closely with the ULI Europe Business Development and Membership team, ULI’s country directors, and the governance director to support the planning and implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy set by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors,, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
- Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;
- Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
- Develop and manage internal processes for grant compliance, application tracking, reporting, and gift acknowledgement for ULI Europe.
