The Insight Analyst will work with the Insight Manager to collect, analyse, and present data and insight to BUCS staff, members and other stakeholders. The Insight Analyst will also take the lead on key projects that support the Insight Manager to deliver the overall data and insight strategy.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in insight, market research or a similar field. They will be confident with a range of data collection and analysis methods, have experience of deriving high-quality insights from quantitative and qualitative data, and be able to present these insights to non-specialist audiences in a clear, actionable way.

Role Purpose:
The Social Change Nest is going through a very exciting growth period and since our Head of Development is going on maternity leave for 4 months from September we are looking for somebody who can join our growing team as soon as possible. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to our FY25/26 income targets and cover part of the functions of the Head of Development while she’s on leave. The Head of Development manages the Development team, which covers the business development, marketing and communications functions, and works with the CEO to ensure that the organisation grows in a strategic and balanced way.
The Social Change Nest is onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year and we are working closely with funders across the UK and worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements.
We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running. We are in the middle of a large capital raise, so we would like the ideal candidate to join the team as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Development and the CEO, as well as the rest of the Development team, for 3 months, before the Head of Development goes on maternity leave. The Senior Development Manager will then take over part of the team support responsibilities of the Head of Development and share responsibility for the income targets with the CEO for the months that the Head of Development is on leave.

- Work closely with the Head of Development to deliver our Development strategy for the financial year FY25/26:

The Member Subscriptions Officer manages the administration and finance of NCVO’s membership subscriptions. We are looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to join us as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Senior Manager, Team and Operations. The role will support the Society’s activities by providing direct assistance to the Leadership team, managing communications with our growing network of key volunteers and working with the CEO on fundraising strategies.

Legacy Manager (Maternity Cover)
Role Summary:
As part of the Major Gifts and Planned Giving team, this role is responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 80 legacy estates, including pecuniary, specific, residuary and life interest estates. The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Refuge to find their Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive.
The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working, and an expectation to work from their Vauxhall office one day per month.
This new role will be responsible for helping to develop and manage the legacy and in memory programmes. As the Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive you will have the opportunity to develop and grow the Legacy and In Memory, helping shape our strategy to recruit, engage and steward legacy pledgers and in memory donors. You will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of In Memory and legacy campaigns across multiple communication channels including email, social and print. You will also be responsible for stewarding existing in memory supporters and legacy pledgers, developing and delivering engaging communications in order to maximise lifetime value.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the Legacy and In Memory Manager with developing the strategy and budget.
· Responsible for managing the monthly budget report for expenditure.
· Responsible for developing campaigns to market the legacy and in memory areas to our supporters.
· To work with the Legacies and In Memory Manager to develop a supporter acquisition, stewardship and retention plan.
· Responsible for tracking and monitoring the agreed KPI’s reporting monthly on activity and targets. To use this analysis to review the portfolio of activity quarterly with the Legacy and In Memory Manager and make recommendations about future marketing activity.
· To work collaboratively with other teams in the Fundraising, Comms and Policy directorate to cross sell legacies and support all teams with their in-memory fundraisers.
· To work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure all donors and next of kin are thanked appropriately and that a relevant stewardship programme is put into place.
· Work collaboratively with the Digital Engagement and Mobilisation team to ensure that all agreed marketing activity is delivered as agreed on time and budget. To ensure that all legacy and in memory enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
· Work with the CRM and Supporter Care team to ensure that all Legacy and In Memory data on The Raiser’s Edge database is accurate, valuable and kept up to date.
Person Specification:
· Experience of managing successful programmes and campaigns to recruit and retain legacy and in memory supporters through a variety of channels
· Experience of working to and achieving financial targets
· A self-starter, able to work on own initiative but also able to work within a team and achieve strong results.
· Experience of cultivating supporters through effective stewardship programmes.
· Experience of CRM database such as Raiser’s Edge to record, inform and analyse data.

The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. About this role:
The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:
INDIVIDUAL GIVING
· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive
· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors
· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors
· Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors

TRUSTS AND GRANT-MAKING BODIES
· Liaise with the General Manager to ensure a coordinated fundraising plan and targets, in keeping with the artistic vision for Rodolfus
· Proof and submit applications and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations (this work is currently supported by the General Manager and a fundraising consultant)
GENERAL
· Attend Team and Board meetings as required
· Be a passionate advocate at all times for Rodolfus
· Adhere to all legal requirements relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as all other company policies and procedures

Job Purpose
We are looking for a Marine Scientist to play a substantive role to support all of Oceana’s UK campaigns. Research, science and data are at the heart of Oceana’s UK work, underpinning our policy positions, creating campaign moments and answering key questions with new research.
The successful candidate will write and project manage research to unlock key campaign questions relating to overfishing, habitat protection and energy in particular, as well as other potential campaign areas in future. They will also work to increase Oceana’s presence within the academic community, attending relevant conferences and meetings and seeking future collaborations on topics of interest.
The Scientist will report to and be supported by the Director of Policy and Research, and work closely with science colleagues across the Oceana global network and beyond. Eligible candidates should have some experience in conducting research, including analysing data, but we’re equally looking for passion, motivation and a drive to protect the ocean. Role Overview
- Support the delivery of Oceana’s campaigns, working with the Director of Policy and Research and relevant campaign teams.
- Research, draft and/or review content for Oceana’s scientific reports and other external communications, with particular attention to scientific accuracy.
- Gather evidence to support Oceana’s UK campaigns, including analysing primary and secondary data, conducting literature reviews and creating position papers.
- Commission and project manage research from external partners as needed, managing relationships through the duration of any projects.
- Work closely with the Oceana HQ Science and Strategy team and other scientist colleagues in the Oceana network to gather insights, inspiration and knowledge.
- Coordinate relevant stakeholders to ensure internal scientific reviews are completed in line with campaign timelines.
- Build strong external relationships within the academic community and represent Oceana to ensure we advance our goals with a wide range of stakeholders, from the general public to politicians.
- Actively participate in key policy and research conferences and events to defend and advance Oceana campaign goals.
- Maintain subject matter expertise and identify areas for new research by following the current literature, attending relevant meetings, and communicating with peers in the field.
- Represent Oceana externally in relevant networks, with partners and in the media as needed.
- Conduct other policy and research tasks as agreed and required.
Candidate Requirements
Education and work experience
- Degree, ideally masters-level, in environmental, fisheries or marine science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with marine and climate issues, regulations and policies in the UK, as well as with key institutions and decision-making processes.
- Experience writing or commissioning primary or secondary research and associated materials summarising the work.
- A passion for UK seas and delivering a healthy ocean in general.
Skills and knowledge
- Familiarity with UK marine and fisheries policy and science.
- GIS and database proficiency, including basic knowledge of GIS mapping and statistical analysis.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple workstreams and projects effectively to time and budget.
- Ability to represent Oceana in a professional and responsive manner both within and outside the academic community
- Excellent writing, editing, communication, organisational and research skills with the ability to confidently distil scientific messages to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on World Cancer Research Fund International’s Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global). CUP Global (previously known as CUP) is a unique, long-standing, and rigorous research programme that systematically gathers, analyses, and judges the strength of the global evidence on how diet, nutrition, physical activity and body weight affect cancer risk and survival. This work led to the publication of the authoritative Third Expert Report in 2018, which now needs updating in places to remain relevant and impactful.
As Senior Research Interpretation Officer, you will be a valuable member of the Research Interpretation team and the CUP Global scientific Secretariat. Your core work will be supporting the management of CUP Global on a day-to-day basis to help deliver its main objective of updating the Third Expert Report. You will provide scientific input, administrative support, and help coordinate specific work areas of CUP Global.
We are looking to recruit someone who has a Masters degree in public health sciences, particularly nutrition and/or cancer research, and with a good understanding of epidemiological concepts. We are seeking someone with experience of writing scientifically, copywriting, editing and proofreading, with good attention to detail and with experience of reviewing and interpreting scientific research/literature. We require someone who can co-ordinate and manage projects, who can produce concise, well-constructed, written communications with the ability to present orally to various audiences in a clear and persuasive manner, and who can provide administrative support, including taking meeting minutes and writing professional emails.
This is a permanent role within the Science and Policy Department at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) International. WCRF International is a not-for-profit organisation that leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe, the Americas and Asia and is responsible for cancer prevention science, policy, strategic and operational direction to the network charities.
