Role description

As our director of digital and information security, you will lead our digital risk and resilience team and programme in order to help build resistance and resilience among the people and movements challenging unaccountable power.

Your focus in this senior role at this crucial time will be on leadership, strategy, growth, and culture, with specific responsibility for our digital risk and resilience programme, internal information security, and tech transformation. Your responsibilities will include:

Lead our digital risk and resilience programme

1. Manage the design and delivery of our digital and information security support, including:

Role Purpose:

The Social Change Nest is going through a very exciting growth period and since our Head of Development is going on maternity leave for 4 months from September we are looking for somebody who can join our growing team as soon as possible. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to our FY25/26 income targets and cover part of the functions of the Head of Development while she’s on leave. The Head of Development manages the Development team, which covers the business development, marketing and communications functions, and works with the CEO to ensure that the organisation grows in a strategic and balanced way.

The Social Change Nest is onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year and we are working closely with funders across the UK and worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements.

We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running. We are in the middle of a large capital raise, so we would like the ideal candidate to join the team as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Development and the CEO, as well as the rest of the Development team, for 3 months, before the Head of Development goes on maternity leave. The Senior Development Manager will then take over part of the team support responsibilities of the Head of Development and share responsibility for the income targets with the CEO for the months that the Head of Development is on leave.

Key Responsibilities:

 June/July to Aug 

• Work closely with the Head of Development to deliver our Development strategy for the financial year FY25/26:
  • Identify and secure new funding opportunities with clients, creating tailored proposals to appeal to funder appetite and needs.
  • Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
  • Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.
• Quickly build strong rapport with funders and community groups to ensure effective implementation of our strategy.
• Get familiar with our processes and identify opportunities to support and collaborate with other members of the Delivery team and other teams across the organisation:
  • Analyse and present HubSpot data to inform strategic decisions and refine our offering.
  • Manage budgeting processes and prepare essential documentation for pitches and contracts.
  • Support on the delivery of our strategic communications and marketing plans.
  • Support the integration of Development with other departments.

September to December

• Continue carrying out the responsibilities outlined above, more independently without the Head of Development:
  • Oversee the business development pipeline, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with our strategic goals.
  • Identify new development opportunities in line with the targets for the financial year, ensuring our pipeline stays healthy.
  • Be an ambassador for the Social Change Nest, representing the business at industry conferences, events and workshops and grow strategic partnerships.
• Step in to support the team strategically where required:
  • Oversee and contribute to external communications and marketing campaigns.
  • Support and line manage members of the Development team, as required, in the Head of Development’s absence. The team of 4 works across business development, communications and marketing.

January and February

Ensure a smooth transition and handover of relationships as the Head of Development comes back into post after maternity leave.

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity and membership society that has been dedicated to improving tropical medicine and global health since 1907. We are looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to join us as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Senior Manager, Team and Operations. The role will support the Society’s activities by providing direct assistance to the Leadership team, managing communications with our growing network of key volunteers and working with the CEO on fundraising strategies.

The role will require someone who has excellent organisation, time management and administrative experience, and some experience working in the charitable sector (knowledge of fundraising an advantage). The successful candidate will work on their own initiative and multi-task across a number of different projects at any one time. The role will involve some analysis and data management, and may involve working to tight deadlines, as well as coordinating work across internal and external stakeholders.

Legacy Manager (Maternity Cover)

Role Summary:

As part of the Major Gifts and Planned Giving team, this role is responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 80 legacy estates, including pecuniary, specific, residuary and life interest estates. The Legacy Manager will also assist the team with legacy enquiries and pledges, supporting donors on their legacy journey, as well as managing PETA’s free will services.

Position Objective:

• Ensure that gifts in wills to PETA are handled appropriately, sensitively and efficiently, maximising legacy income to support PETA’s mission to protect animals.
• Effectively communicate PETA’s mission to potential legacy supporters, and deal with enquiries from supporters in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Augustus Club

• Administer legacies in a professional and approachable manner, to include correspondence with solicitors and other interested parties
• Maintain departmental information, files, and records related to legacy estates
• Act as the point of contact and grow and mature relationships with stakeholders and external groups in order to attain information needed to carry out the role
• Work with various stakeholders on contested legacies, collaborating with other charities where needed
• Be able to communicate to supporters how important and desirable legacies are to PETA
• Respond to enquiries and requests for assistance from Augustus Club members and planned-giving prospects
• Document pertinent information about planned-giving members for the purpose of enhancing and building relationships
• Remain current on estate-planning practices as well as fundraising techniques and methods used in the non-profit sector, attending professional training seminars as needed

Other

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Refuge to find their Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working, and an expectation to work from their Vauxhall office one day per month.

This new role will be responsible for helping to develop and manage the legacy and in memory programmes. As the Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive you will have the opportunity to develop and grow the Legacy and In Memory, helping shape our strategy to recruit, engage and steward legacy pledgers and in memory donors. You will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of In Memory and legacy campaigns across multiple communication channels including email, social and print. You will also be responsible for stewarding existing in memory supporters and legacy pledgers, developing and delivering engaging communications in order to maximise lifetime value.

· Support the Legacy and In Memory Manager with developing the strategy and budget.

· Responsible for managing the monthly budget report for expenditure.

· Responsible for developing campaigns to market the legacy and in memory areas to our supporters.

·  Responsible for tracking and monitoring the agreed KPI’s reporting monthly on activity and targets. To use this analysis to review the portfolio of activity quarterly with the Legacy and In Memory Manager and make recommendations about future marketing activity.

· To work collaboratively with other teams in the Fundraising, Comms and Policy directorate to cross sell legacies and support all teams with their in-memory fundraisers.

· To work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure all donors and next of kin are thanked appropriately and that a relevant stewardship programme is put into place.

· Work collaboratively with the Digital Engagement and Mobilisation team to ensure that all agreed marketing activity is delivered as agreed on time and budget. To ensure that all legacy and in memory enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.

· Work with the CRM and Supporter Care team to ensure that all Legacy and In Memory data on The Raiser’s Edge database is accurate, valuable and kept up to date.

Person Specification:

· Experience of managing successful programmes and campaigns to recruit and retain legacy and in memory supporters through a variety of channels

The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. Nowadays, around one third of students receive generous bursary support to attend a course and we also work with a range of partner organisations to encourage even more young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in our choral singing courses. We want to secure the future of the organisation and increase the number of students we can support by significantly growing our individual  giving.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work up to 2 days per week on a freelance basis to help us move up a gear or two in terms of our fundraising, specifically to develop private giving from our extensive alumni network and the many successful individuals who feel music education at a young age made them the person they are today.

We have an office in central London but the job can be done remotely with occasional meetings with the General Manager, either in person or virtually.

About this role:

The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:

INDIVIDUAL GIVING

· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive

· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors

· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors

·  Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors

· Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues

· Plan and help organise membership events for donors

· Help establish a legacy giving scheme for Rodolfus

· Have overall responsibility for reaching individual giving targets

· Ensure that data is accurately kept in our database in line with GDPR, and is harnessed to support our fundraising efforts

STRATEGIC PLANNING & REPORTING

· Develop a five-year Fundraising Strategy

· Set ambitious but achievable targets for each year, within the overall Rodolfus budget

· Contribute new ideas and find new opportunities for fundraising

· Produce quarterly fundraising updates for the Trustees

· Produce a fundraising report for the annual accounts, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development in the Fundraising Strategy

TRUSTS AND GRANT-MAKING BODIES

· Liaise with the General Manager to ensure a coordinated fundraising plan and targets, in keeping with the artistic vision for Rodolfus

· Proof and submit applications and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations (this work is currently supported by the General Manager and a fundraising consultant)

GENERAL

· Attend Team and Board meetings as required

· Be a passionate advocate at all times for Rodolfus

· Adhere to all legal requirements relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as all other company policies and procedures

· Create a positive work environment, underpinned by the organisation’s values

Energy Action Redhill and Reigate (EARR) is dedicated to improving home energy efficiency across East Surrey.  We work to improve the sustainability of homes, as well as making them healthier to live in and more economical to run.

We are seeking an organised and self-motivated Project Coordinator to join our Home Energy Advice Team.  You will play a key role in co-ordinating a programme of home energy surveys, distribution of energy efficiency materials and helping to deliver a series of events.  The post is funded through an Energy Redress grant and is part of the Surrey-wide HEAT programme, working in partnership with other voluntary organisations across Surrey.

As Project Coordinator you will play a key role in

• scheduling home energy surveys and follow up support
• liaising with residents, volunteers, and local partners
• planning and promoting community events
• monitoring and reporting on project progress and impact

Location: The role is home based; however, travel across Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge will be required to support events and home surveys.

Hours: 736 hours per year (average 16 hours per week over 46 weeks - you can manage the hours worked to suit yourself and the project.  Demand for the survey service is seasonal and it is anticipated more hours will be needed over the Winter months, with fewer hours in the Summer. 

Dates: Start from 23 September 2025 or earliest available date following this. This is a fixed-term contract until 30 April 2027

Salary: £25 per hour (3% uplift from May 2026)  Please note this role to be undertaken on a self-employed consultancy basis.
