Working closely with the Senior Communications and External Relations Manager, you will lead and implement strategic communications, PR, external relations, and fundraising communications campaigns that support our mission and raise the profile of UWC International. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across our global network of schools, colleges, and national committees to deliver impactful, purpose-driven communications.
Our Communications and Engagement team covers a wide range of activities, including digital and social media, publications, branding, events, alumni relations, global student recruitment, and fundraising communications. You will bring a creative, methodical, and collaborative approach to delivering campaigns and storytelling that inspire audiences and reflect our values. A key part of this role is supporting the Development Team in creating compelling content and campaigns to drive income generation—experience in fundraising communications would be a strong advantage.
We are looking for a communications all-rounder with proven experience in external relations, PR, or marketing—ideally in an international or nonprofit context. If you have a track record of delivering communications projects from concept to evaluation, enjoy working across diverse teams and platforms, and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Latin Link is looking for a natural storyteller with an active Christian faith to inspire and engage the church across Britain and Ireland to step into the story of God’s global mission. You will plan, develop and deliver an innovative communications programme across digital and print media. You will love creating video content, writing, and thrive on sharing the stories of a wide variety of people.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Communications Manager will report to the Leadership Team. Latin Link seeks to ensure that every member of our team has opportunities for developing and learning new skills relevant to their work.
TIME COMMITMENT AND FLEXIBILITY
We see this as essentially a full-time role, but we are open to a variety of flexible working arrangements to help the right person achieve a good work/life balance. The expectation is that the Communications Manager will be in the Reading office at least one day a week, with the flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.
SALARY
The full-time salary for this role will be £28,500 per annum. All salaries are reviewed on an annual basis with any increase made from 1st April.
The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period, after which there is three months’ written notice period for both parties. Holiday entitlement for full time staff is 28 working days per year including all bank and public holidays. In addition to this we usually close for the period between Christmas Day and New Year.

Job purpose
Part of the Policy & Engagement department, the Senior Communications Officer is responsible for devising and supporting strategic communication initiatives that elevate the College’s visibility, advocate for the importance of sustainable ophthalmology services, spotlight our work and values, and promote membership. Working with colleagues, members and external partners, you will craft, execute and evaluate multichannel campaigns, secure profile-raising media coverage, and create engaging content for all our communications channels.
Main responsibilities
Strategic communication planning
- Plan, deliver and evaluate multichannel communications campaigns and plans – working with colleagues across the College to identify objectives, target audiences and key messaging.
- Contribute to developing and implementing communications strategies to increase the College’s profile, promote its work and the importance of ophthalmology, and support membership recruitment and retention.
Content development and management
- Contribute to developing, delivering and evaluating the performance of our content strategy and organisation-wide annual content plan.

- Handle day-to-day proactive and reactive media relations, including acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries; writing and pitching comments, press releases, quotes, and op-eds; arranging interviews; and working with international, national and local media.

We have an exciting opportunity within our Communications Team on a part time basis for a Media and Communications Officer. This post is for a one-year fixed term contract.
The Down’s Syndrome Association is the only organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focusing solely on all aspects of living successfully with Down’s syndrome. The Down’s Syndrome Association aims to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.
The successful candidate will cover the whole spectrum of duties in relation to media and communication areas and needs to be able to think strategically and work operationally. You will lead the development of our media strategy, build and maintain a strong media contracts database and nurture relations both online and across other offline platforms. Your work will amplify the voices of people who have Down’s syndrome and help shape public understanding through inclusive and impactful storytelling.
We are looking for candidates with at least three years proven experience in either media relations, journalism or communications. An understanding of the key ingredients of success in developing relationships with local and national media engagement, as well as managing performance in line with budgets are also essential.
A valid UK driver’s licence is essential, as well as a willingness to be flexible about hours and location of work as there may be some occasional travel in UK with overnight stays as required. The post-holder will also be DBS checked.

The Role
This role is to publicise the work of the diocese to clergy, laity, communities and parishioners, and shine a light on their endeavours and successes. The team tells the stories of 808 churches and their communities while supporting the other teams and departments in the diocese in sharing their news and projects.
You will play a key role in delivering on-brand and engaging content and will develop, edit, project manage, design, and copy write communications across a wide range of channels. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop messaging, design, and tone of voice that is appropriate to the audience/channel while ensuring the highest possible editorial standards.
There is occasional weekend and evening working, so some flexibility is essential. Meeting deadlines and prioritising projects will be a core part of this role. The organisation operates a hybrid model, so 60% of your hours will be in the office.
About You
We are seeking someone with established design skills and experience of drafting, writing, proofing, and finalising written content for both online and print purposes. You will be highly organised, technically literate, flexible, and a calm presence in a busy office. You will have an aptitude for eye-catching design and powerful written materials, using our brand and style guidelines.

About the role
Our dedicated team moderates our full-service accounts (all organic content and paid ads) as well as one-off campaigns and appeals for some of the most recognisable charities in the sector.
This role is perfect for skilled comms experts who can provide excellent supporter care and is best suited as an additional source of income (the majority of our team are freelancers and consultants). You must be able to begin moderation at 9 am (or earlier), wrap up by 9 pm and adhere to our sub-three-hour response time.
Our moderators must have a minimum of three years’ in-house, third-sector comms experience.
As a Social Media Moderator, you would be responsible for:

Our moderation takes place between 9 am and 9 pm, Monday-Sunday.
Different accounts will require varying levels of ‘active’ hours (defined as time spent taking action). You will split your active hours between 9am and 9pm. For example, for an account which requires three active hours, you might carry out your work in six, thirty minute instalments throughout the shift.
As you gain experience, you will be allocated multiple accounts which will enable you to increase your hours worked.
Whilst you need to be on hand to monitor your accounts during 9am-9pm, the role does allow for a great deal of personal flexibility.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' professional comms experience, working with a large charity with an active social media following. They will understand the importance of building positive engagement and relationships with the public and be committed to act in the best interests of our charity partners.

About Khulisa:
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.
Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we also work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester.
About the role:
This role will be a key part of helping to raise awareness of Khulisa’s mission and the issues we address, strengthening support for our programmes. The postholders will also take ownership of planning and delivering all Khulisa events, ensuring they are impactful and well-executed.
