Main responsibilities:

• Managing & taking ownership of safeguarding incident cases categorised as 1 or 2 (lower severity) supporting teams, those raising issues, liaison with the appropriate statutory authorities as necessary.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
 
The Supporter Care Fundraiser will be responsible for providing exceptional stewardship and support to our valued supporters, including donors and volunteers (committee members and non-committee members). This role will ensure that our supporters feel appreciated, informed and engaged with RABI’s work, ultimately helping to strengthen relationships and encourage continued giving. This position is crucial to maintaining long-term, meaningful connections with donors and ensuring they feel a sense of connection to RABI’s purpose.
With a strong focus on relationship management and supporter stewardship, the Supporter Care Fundraiser will help drive the growth of community-led fundraising initiatives. Working alongside both central and regional volunteer teams, this role will be pivotal in supporting RABI to achieve its ambitious £10 million fundraising goal over the next five years.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Supporter Stewardship: Provide high-quality, personalised care and attention to supporters, ensuring they feel valued and recognised for their contributions. Respond promptly and professionally to all enquiries and support requests via email, telephone and post.
Donation Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of donations, ensuring that all records are updated in the CRM system and acknowledged and thanked appropriately.
Engagement and Retention: Develop and implement agreed strategies to engage and retain supporters, including regular communications through thank-you letters and phone calls. Work to build ongoing loyalty and support from supporters.
Campaign Support: Assist with fundraising campaigns and initiatives by providing supporter-facing materials, ensuring clear communication and helping to create opportunities for supporters to engage in fundraising activities.
Supporter Communication: Coordinate and manage supporter correspondence, including sending out personalised thank-you notes, acknowledgement letters and updates on the impact of donations. Ensure that supporters are kept informed about RABI’s work and how their support is making a difference.

Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate supporter records and provide regular reports on donor activity, feedback and engagement. Help identify trends and opportunities for improving supporter satisfaction and retention.
Feedback and Improvements: Gather feedback from supporters and analyse donor satisfaction to continually improve the supporter experience and identify areas for development in our stewardship strategy.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Fundraising and Volunteer teams to ensure alignment between supporter care efforts and broader fundraising strategies. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that supporter care is integrated into all aspects of RABI’s operations.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice standards, upholding RABI’s commitment to ethical and legal fundraising.
Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations, analysing successes and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on fundraising outcomes and gather feedback from participants to inform future event improvements.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery, Volunteering and Finance, etc) to align community fundraising efforts.

Proven experience in a similar supporter care, donor relations or customer service, ideally within the non-profit or charity sector.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of supporters, stakeholders and volunteers.

High attention to detail, particularly in supporter records, donation processing and communication.

The Role

As Head of Finance, you’ll oversee and lead financial strategy, management, and reporting across our charities and growing businesses. You’ll work closely with trustees, directors, and operational teams to provide financial insight, ensure compliance, and drive positive change.

Key areas of focus include:

• Strategic Leadership: Advising senior teams and boards on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Financial Management: Overseeing budgets, forecasting, and reporting to ensure strong financial health.
• Risk & Compliance: Safeguarding assets and ensuring adherence to regulatory and tax requirements.
• Team Leadership: Mentoring a small but dedicated finance team and supporting functions such as payroll, IT, and accounts.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Managing relationships with auditors, regulators, banks, and key service providers.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with experience in the charity or social care sector.
• Skilled in charity SORP, audit requirements, and charity commission regulations.
• Experienced in a management role (5+ years) with a track record of strategic planning and execution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organisational change.
• A confident communicator who can explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• A collaborative leader with high integrity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge and criticism in a non-confrontational manner, maintaining collaborative working relationships with other operational areas.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

What you would be doing

Following the launch of Imperial’s Science for Humanity strategy, we’re preparing to launch a comprehensive fundraising and alumni engagement campaign to bring this to life.

In this role, a key focus will be on increasing regular giving participation, strengthening the fundraising pipeline, and supporting fundraising campaigns. You will also design and deliver engaging programmes for alumni, volunteers and donors, and drive initiatives that strengthen recent graduate engagement, contributing to global ranking success.

Working closely with colleagues across the university, you’ll help shape strategy, improve processes and champion the power of alumni engagement across Imperial.

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative individual with a passion for alumni engagement, with working knowledge of how this can create philanthropic support.

· Experience in alumni engagement, student engagement or volunteer management, ideally within a university or non-profit setting

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world’s largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life – reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.

The part-time Curatorial Officer will be responsible for the museum’s curatorial activities, with a specific focus on achieving the required collection management standards for Museum Accreditation with the Arts Council by August 2026. This will include developing curatorial policies following Spectrum guidelines. There will also be opportunities to develop interpretive materials to enhance visitor understanding and appreciation of the triple expansion engines and our collections, to foster relationships with local communities and to provide training and support to volunteers on collections management and interpretation. As part of this project we are also recruiting a Museum Operations & Project Manager (two days per week) and a Volunteer Coordinator (two days per week). The Curatorial Officer will report to the Museum Operations & Project Manager.

The role involves working with our collections and archives, which are located in areas of the Engine House accessible only via steep stairs due to the historic nature of the building. The MA is a Royal Charter charity with around 12,000 members. For more than a century we have championed magistrates, supported their development, and spoken truth to power on behalf of the magistracy and the wider justice system.

About us and our ecological work

We are a small but growing UK-registered charity which undertakes projects that protect and restore wild landscapes, helping to provide a future for all life on earth. We use the skills and expertise of our multi-disciplinary team (spanning science, law, economics, technology and culture) to develop projects that protect and restore wild, natural landscapes. 

Our ecological work spans two exciting fronts: restoring missing species through projects like The Missing Lynx, Pine Marten and White-Tailed Eagle reintroductions in Northern England; and securing the protection of ecological restoration sites as a Responsible Body for conservation covenants through which we aim to set the gold standard, supporting ambitious, mission-aligned projects such as Nattergal’s High Fen site.

About the role

We are seeking to hire a dynamic and passionate Senior Ecologist to join The Lifescape Project, to play an integral role in the restoration of charismatic species to the UK and in landscape scale habitat restoration.

As a Senior Ecologist, your work will cover two distinct areas which are broadly: BNG-associated site assessments; and practical planning and feasibility aspects of species reintroductions.

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience + benefits.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed-term contract for 12 months initially.

Location: Remote working with site survey work and some UK and international travel.
