Age UK is recruiting for a Regional Estates Surveyor to provide a professional comprehensive and cost-effective Regional Estate Management Service on all Age UK Properties.
Please note, this role is a Field-Based position.
In this role you will use your professional knowledge and experience to undertake significant problem solving and lateral thinking, providing advice to key stakeholders across the charity on complex estate and asset management issues. By ensuring best professional practice is always observed and complying with the RICS Code of Conduct, the successful post-holder will be responsible for negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals across Age UK's predominantly retail property portfolio and day to day estate management duties.
Whilst you will be home based, please note this role requires travel across our Age UK estate, so there is an expectation you can travel with some overnight stays; a company car will be provided.
The area this role covers will be dependent on the successful candidate's home location.
Please note: This salary includes a market supplement of £4K up to the maximum of £50K (inclusive). This market supplement reflects the current demand for professionals with skills in this area.

The Role
As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and food partner relationships, together with raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area.
The Community Coordinator will work across their designated area, with the following key outcomes:
- Charity recruitment and onboarding. Community Coordinators are responsible for maintaining and increasing the number of charities collecting from food partners in the CC’s area, by generating leads through their local networks and research, working with the Regional Support Team to guide charities through the FareShare Go onboarding process and matching charity needs to available food sources in their local area using the ‘right charity-right store’ principle.
- Charity account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with all the charities in their area, in collaboration with the Fareshare Go Customer Support Team, to ensure the best possible experience for their charities. CCs conduct charity account reviews in person or remotely, with all their charities at least once a year, carry out annual Food Safety Checks and follow up food safety or contract breaches to ensure that the FareShare Go programme delivers the very highest levels of food safety assurance for our food and charity partners.
- Food partner account management. Community Coordinators manage relations with food partner outlets in their area, working closely with the Escalated Customer Support Team to resolve issues between charities and outlets by visiting stores and restaurants to collaboratively fix problems and promote engagement by food partner colleagues. Community Coordinators build and maintain relationships between food partners and local charities by educating colleagues about their charities, promoting volunteering opportunities and maximizing the value of local relationships between charities and food partners.
- Area development. As the territory owners for their areas, Community Coordinators use their local knowledge to increase the volumes and food types that their charity accounts can accept and use, to ultimately maximise the social value of food distributed through the programme. This includes supporting charities to increase their capacity to take more chilled and frozen food, expand their services into new areas or new distribution channels and reach more members of the local community.
- Community marketing and engagement. Community Coordinators are ‘the face of FareShare Go’ in their local areas and promote the programme’s benefits to local voluntary organisations, umbrella groups and zero-waste and food insecurity groups. They work collaboratively with FareShare Regional Centres in their area, researching local activities, presenting at group meetings and educating charities about FareShare Go and the food and other support they can access from our food partners

We are recruiting for a Senior Philanthropy Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will lead on the management and delivery of our highly successful Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign. You will work closely with an exceptional board of senior volunteers from the insurance industry to deliver the campaign strategy. You will lead on securing income from personal philanthropy and Trusts from within the industry, working closely with Board members on peer-to-peer advocacy.
In addition, the role has oversight and input to all IUAD campaign activities - including communications, events and corporate partnerships. You will lead on relationships with key IUAD board members to maximise fundraising opportunities and maintain their motivation and engagement in the campaign. This role will give you the chance to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia.
This is a home-based role with occasional travel to London to attend meetings with colleagues or stakeholders, with travel costs paid for by the Society. Although this is a 12-month fixed term contract, we regularly recruit for roles in this area internally so there may be the opportunity to secure a permanent role during the contract duration.
About you
Joining us, you’ll have proven success in raising five and six figure gifts from major donors or equivalent. You’ll have experience of managing fundraising, engagement and stewardship strategies combined with the ability to identify and maximise funding opportunities to meet and exceed targets. You’ll also have good organisation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse financial information and present proposals in an accessible format.
Crucially for this role you’ll be an effective and engaging communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate and act diplomatically with senior stakeholders and high-level donors. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering upReach’s new volunteering strategy, which unifies four historic strands (mentoring, Alumni, CSR-funded volunteering, and Programme Employer Partnerships) into a single, coherent framework.

1) MENTORING PROGRAMMES

Provide strategic and operational oversight of upReach’s two mentoring programmes, Professional Mentoring (structured 6-month matches) and Ask an Expert (one-off interactions with professionals initiated by students).

Manage stakeholder relationships with mentoring partners, ensuring a smooth and high-quality experience for all volunteers.

Collaborate with Programmes and Partnerships teams to ensure that our mentoring supply and demand is balanced, identifying opportunities for development and working with teams to plan this.

Oversee the volunteer journey from attraction to offboarding, including clear onboarding, safeguarding processes, engagement activities, and recognition (e.g. events, certificates, digital acknowledgements).

This is an opportunity for a well-rounded accountant to join the Bild group of charities. The post-holder will be responsible for all management accounts across a group of four charities, whose combined turnover is circa £4m per year.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial controls
- Prepare monthly management accounts, reports, and financial statements
- Responsible for development of management reporting
- Meeting regularly with budget holders to review financial performance and outstanding commitments.
- Manage payroll, tax returns, and financial reporting for funders
- Support the Business and Finance Director in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Support the Business and Finance Director with the annual audit process
General Responsibilities:

Project Manager, Peatland Funding

RSPB Scotland is seeking someone to lead the way in our ambition to raise and manage funding for the vital restoration of Scotland’s peatlands, to benefit biodiversity, the climate and communities.
This role will focus on ensuring that a pipeline of peatland restoration funding routes, including funding applications, bids, and expressions of interest, are identified, developed, submitted, and managed, to secure financial support from various sources (public and private). You will be responsible for making sure that project owners are aware of and adhere to all contractual requirements, prepare regular funding reports and work with partners to solve potential problems.
You will be expected to check and submit budgets, make financial claims and update income and project spreadsheets. You will work with RSPB teams and external stakeholders to identify and manage novel funding routes and opportunities to support the Scotland Peatland Programme, acting as a liaison between them and peatland project teams. In addition, you will play a central role of support to peatland teams developing projects for the IUCN Peatland Code, providing funding guidance and expertise and being responsible for ensuring documents are developed and submitted to ensure successful project validation.
This role will sit within the RSPB Scotland Fundraising team and will work closely with the Scotland Peatland Programme, and as such it requires someone who is independently motivated and able to manage potentially conflicting priorities. We will facilitate visits to RSPB peatland reserves across Scotland to help you understand the specifics of restoration on each site.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Evidence of ability to build strong relationships with a range of teams to deliver key results
- Highly proficient in managing multiple workstreams and deadlines, communicating priorities clearly and updating decision makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to persuade and influence a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
- High level of IT skills for project and data management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
