Our innovative Open the Gate (OTG) programme at our Battersea Hub offers work experience, volunteering opportunities, accredited training, mentoring, and signposting support to participants/ Apprentices at any point on their resettlement journey.

About the role:

We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic Engagement and Support Officer (ESO) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by people in contact with the criminal justice system and will work proactively to establish meaningful and sustainable cross-referral pathways with external agencies. Key responsibilities:

1. Nurturing a professional working environment where Open The Gate Apprentices are supported to achieve their potential.

2. Building and maintaining referral partnerships with external agencies [including HMP resettlement teams, probation services, approved premises and community-based organisations supporting prison-leavers] to increase participant numbers and sustain engagement with Open the Gate.

3. Coordinating applications and referrals for prospective Apprentices, gathering relevant information for dissemination to the wider team.  

4. Working with colleagues in the Programmes team to develop risk management and support plans for each Apprentice, using information regarding offences, licence conditions and risk areas, liaising closing with the probation service and other agencies where relevant.

Crossness Pumping Station is a unique, world heritage site built in 1865 to help rid London of cholera. Lying abandoned since the 1950s, it has been lovingly restored by a group of enthusiasts and volunteers since 1987. We are moving into the next phase of our development as a museum and need to improve our support to existing volunteers and recruitment of new ones. About the role

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the recruitment, induction, training and support of volunteers for Crossness Engines Trust.

We are seeking an organised and proactive person to provide day-to-day support across both functions, with around 70% of the role focused on HR. Human Resources:

About the role:

The postholder will support the delivery of a specialist domestic abuse (DA) project in partnership with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) in the London borough of Brent. The role aims to raise awareness and promote best practice in responding to domestic abuse across CLCH staff, improving support for patients impacted by domestic abuse. This will involve delivering training, workshops, and guidance to health professionals, providing consultancy on embedding DA response pathways, and helping CLCH navigate referrals to local domestic abuse support agencies. The role combines professional training, advocacy, and systems change to strengthen the health sector’s response to domestic abuse. The postholder will work across the Brent borough, attending community hubs and co-locating to deliver services when needed.

The postholder may be approached by staff seeking advice or consultation regarding male victims of domestic abuse. While the role’s primary focus remains on supporting women, the postholder will be open to supporting male victims through appropriate signposting and referral guidance. They will also be willing to undertake relevant training (e.g. Respect toolkit) to ensure inclusive and informed responses. Training will be provided.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Advisor & Trainer you will need the below experience and skills:
