SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.
 

About the role:

We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. You will provide support by telephone, email and text.

Call Back Officer/s will work within our team to provide support services. Hours for this role are flexible but would likely range from 12-6pm or 12-8pm for 2 days per week.

This role provides valuable practical experience in providing emotional support to vulnerable people.

Starting Salary: £15.46 per hour

Covering the operational, strategic and delivery of work across the Eastern region we are looking for a Project Development Co-ordinator to operate across the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Travel within and occasionally outside these regions will be a necessity.

This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to supervise, deliver and lead on our stakeholder and community engagement to support the delivery of NEA’s work programme.  The role will help deliver projects that can change lives, particularly during the energy crisis. 

NEA’s project work aims to bring improvements to the health and wellbeing of low income and vulnerable householders, through one-to-one advice, group awareness sessions, upskilling and sharing of best practice. 

Delivering on a range or projects, which demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders, you will understand and drive the development of partnerships working with local authorities, housing providers, and various other partners.

You will oversee the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, delivering energy and fuel debt advice directly to householders and be responsible for the preparation of reports to funders including collation of evidence of outcomes achieved, maintaining relationships with a network of stakeholders across a region.

You will also work with the Project Development Manager to identify and develop new programmes of work, including preparation of funding applications, presentation of funding proposals to relevant funding bodies and to ensure effective liaison of NEA’s work programme with other activities within NEA.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.

It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them. 

You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress. 

You will be an excellent communicator, with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Knowledge of energy efficiency, particularly within the domestic sector and community buildings, is desirable.

• £33,931 to £38,594 (Points 23 – 28) (plus £3,300 London Weighting if applicable). New appointments are usually made at the starting point of the scale.

As an Multiple Disadvantage ISVA you will have a good understanding of what constitutes multiple disadvantages, disempowerment, or discrimination, and how they intersect with experiences of sexual violence. You should have experience of providing support to women with multiple complex needs, ideally within the Criminal Justice System. You should have demonstrable experience of working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. About the Role

As Executive Director of Boiler House Spaces, you will be responsible for leading the charity and its small and committed team, to develop strategic partnerships and funding to take the organisation forwards. 

Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & People

· Provide leadership, supervise staff/volunteers, and ensure service quality.

· Collaborate with teams for effective service delivery and staff coverage.

Strategy & Partnerships

· Represent Boiler House Spaces and develop partnerships with key stakeholders.

· Lead the Good Place programme with partners and the community.

Finance, Fundraising & Marketing

· Oversee finances, report quarterly, and manage fundraising.

· Build relationships with supporters and promote the organization’s profile.

Governance

· Support the Board with governance, strategy, and risk management.

· Lead the strategy and business plan implementation.

Capital Project & Other Duties

· Lead the capital project and ensure policy adherence.

· Manage emergencies and take on additional tasks as needed.

About You

An experienced successful leader and passionate about community development, you will be a great communicator, a team player with strong finance and project management skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.

You will have:

· Proven senior leadership experience with a track record in building partnerships and generating income

· Skilled in managing teams, creating a positive culture, and motivating others to deliver

· Strong financial management, including budget planning and oversight

· Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences

· Strategic and creative thinker with strong interpersonal and people management skills

· Understanding of the community sector or ability to learn quickly

· Proactive, collaborative, and resilient with a ‘can-do’ attitude

Boiler House Spaces is about local people helping each other in tough times. We run a community food pantry giving free food, advice and support. We open our safe and warm spaces for community groups so people can connect and make key improvements in their own lives.

A little about us

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Team of a dynamic and growing children’s charity as Finance Assistant. 

Our mission is to bring hope and positive change to children and families.  To achieve this we deliver a range of services.  The Catholic Children’s Society (CCS) is one of the largest providers of mental health services to schools in London.  Currently we have over 50 counsellors/therapists working on-site in approximately 70 schools (both Catholic non-Catholic).  We also provide high quality early years education and family support, including offering emergency assistance for families in crisis.

This newly created role reports to Programme Delivery Manager to implement programmes supporting our autistic members. Key responsibilities include: 

• Supporting the Programme Delivery Manager on leading a range of programmes addressing members’ developmental needs. 

• Support members in personal and social development, promoting peer relationships. 

• Manage various administrative tasks including maintaining members’ needs assessments and communicating any update or changes. 

Salary Band: £8,268 per annum 

Contract Type 1-year Fixed Term contract

Working Pattern: 10 hours per week. Weekday(s) late afternoons and evenings.  School holidays mornings and afternoons. Weekend trips. 

Location: Bromley based location 

Potential attendance may be required at events and meetings outside regular working hours on an ad hoc basis.
