Join Different Strokes, a national charity led by young stroke survivors for young stroke survivors. There are 100,000 strokes in the UK every year, and 1 in 4 of these happen to someone of working age or younger. We aim to promote independent stroke recovery and help younger stroke survivors to reclaim their lives.
We are a small national charity that really cares about what we do. We are currently looking to expand our team, and to devote additional resources to support our network of local groups across the UK, which provide vital peer support for stroke survivors in a face-to-face setting.
We have around 30 autonomous local groups, which are all volunteer led. As the Community Administrator you will work closely with our Volunteer and Groups Co-ordinator, and provide vital administrative support. You will be responsible for such activities as data collecting, ensuring group documents and paperwork requirements are up-to-date, providing monthly updates and ordering marketing materials.
You will help to ensure that all our group volunteers receive the support they require, and respect the autonomy that groups have to make their own decisions, while ensuring that they work within the framework of Different Strokes and that they meet compliance requirements. The ability to communicate effectively with group volunteers and other third parties, by phone, email and through online platforms, is essential.
The role would be based in our office in Milton Keynes. The willingness to undertake occasional visits to groups would be beneficial.
This is a permanent position for 15 hours per week. Very occasional evening or weekend work will be required.

Job Purpose
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Surf Life Saving Great Britain (SLSGB) by reshaping our education and training content. As Learning Design Lead, you will be responsible for reviewing, updating and re-launching our portfolio of training courses, working in close partnership with internal and external subject matter experts on our three core pillars of Life Saving, Community, and Sport. This will include course delivery via a new digital learning platform, in-person course materials, and community-focused resources. The goal is to support our members, partners and the wider community by delivering consistent, high-quality education that enhances lifesaving knowledge and promotes water safety across the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
- Content Development & Review
- Oversee the SLSGB portfolio of training, including Life Saving training for volunteers and professionals, Community engagement programmes, and skills development in Sport.
- Review and design course curriculum, content, materials, manuals, digital assets, and learning resources across all SLSGB training.
- Map out clear learning pathways and progression routes for each audience.
- Make learning fun and engaging for learners aged 4 to 104!
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure all educational content reflects the latest evidence, technology, and legislation relating to lifesaving and related fields, including DEFRA and Department of Education requirements.
- Digital Learning & Innovation
- Lead the transition of SLSGB courses to online and blended learning models, ensuring accessibility and engagement across a wide range of learners.
- Establish best-in-class user experience on the SLSGB digital learning platform.
- Work with a designer and adhere to SLSGB guidelines to ensure training material and resources are on brand and finished to a high standard.
- Train the Trainer
- Work in partnership with subject matter experts to upskill SLSGB Trainer Assessors and Level 1 & 2 Coaches to deliver new learning pathways and course curriculum.
- Provide regular updates and refresher training as and when courses change.
- Ensure Trainers are equipped with the right access levels and resources.
- Community Engagement
- Work with the Digital & Communications Manager and other team members to provide information and support about new and updated training courses to 10,000 SLSGB members, professionals working in coastal and marine roles, water sports organisations, schools, youth groups, and community partners.
- Support the national drowning prevention strategy by creating resources and programmes that educate the public and at-risk groups.
- Quality Assurance & Consistency:
- Maintain uniformity in course content and assessment criteria across all strands of training, regions, and delivery methods.
- Carry out regular visits and collect feedback from users and stakeholders to inform continuous improvement in educational offerings.
- Partnership & Collaboration:
- Build relationships with external organisations (e.g., schools, emergency services, local authorities) to broaden the reach of SLSGB's educational mission.

The Role – Individual Giving Assistant Manager
The Fundraising Department of Chester Zoo, a major wildlife charity, with a mission of Preventing Extinction works to secure income which contributes towards the delivery of our strategic development plan and ambitious conservation plan, helping to ensure nature can survive and thrive.
Reporting to the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead and working with the wider Fundraising team, the Individual Giving Assistant Manager will lead on securing and managing small to medium donations from individuals. Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with the Health Team to identify, develop, and propose new initiatives, contributing to Hestia's ambitious growth targets. They will lead on tenders that align with organisational priorities, finalising technical questions and method statements, and ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time. The role involves bid writing and review support, conducting research into health and business development models, and exploring integrated funding opportunities. The post-holder will also work alongside Operations and HR teams to develop staffing structures, service delivery models, and financial plans, including modelling the impact of TUPE where relevant.
In addition, the Senior Business Development Manager will support the mobilisation of successful tenders, participate in presentations and clarification interviews, and evaluate outcomes to inform future submissions. They will contribute to Hestia's development strategy by identifying new growth opportunities, supporting service redevelopment, and fostering partnerships or consortia as effective delivery methods. The role requires engagement with commissioners, attendance at strategic forums, production of reports, and participation in internal working groups, while maintaining commercial confidentiality and pursuing personal training and development to enhance understanding of Hestia's services.

Job Purpose
This role plays a key part in the delivery of Operation Smile UK’s retention programme, generating income and retaining existing cash and regular giving donors. The Giving Engagement Officer (Retention) will support the Giving Engagement Manager to implement multi-channel (mail, telemarketing, web and email) donor retention campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, creative accuracy, and effective stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Manager - Mourne Park on a fixed term contract until December 2029 to lead the work on the development and delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.
The Role:
• This is a key role in The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park. The Project Manager will be required to work on the development and delivery of visitor experience enhancement, countryside access and interpretation projects linked to conservation of Mourne Park’s natural and built heritage through woodland management, creation and restoration schemes.
• The role will be responsible for the project management and budget responsibility, ensuring all Heritage Fund and Woodland Trust reporting and recording systems are up to date, work programmes are delivered on time across the programme.
• You will direct the project team delivering all access projects, on site interpretation and in line with the Access & Interpretation Plans for the project.
• You are responsible for fostering good relations with partners, contractors, interested organisations and individuals, local people, visitors and the media. PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR, YOUTH LEADERSHIP
Job Purpose: To work with the Youth & Universities team to deliver F&BF’s programmes and projects

Duties and Responsibilities
All activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Youth Voice & Universities team.
Delivery
· To support delivery of the UN award-winning ParliaMentors programme (1.5 days per week):
o Being responsible for 2 teams of university students.
o Supporting 12 London-based students by: having 1:1 coaching calls with each of them to offer guidance and support; conducting sessions to support the teams with their social action projects and identifying area for development; conducting sessions to work through any team dynamic issues that arise.
o Supporting with facilitation of workshops related to social action, politics, leadership and interfaith.
o Administrative and logistical support (e.g., room bookings, processing reimbursements, coordinating student travels).
· To support delivery of City Bridge Trust (CBT) work (3.5 days per week):
o Responsible for overseeing the deliverables for this funder, ensuring all deadlines are met.
o Responsible for delivering four interfaith trainings for Local Authorities within London.
o Planning and delivering the annual Youth Interfaith Summit, the UK’s largest interfaith event for the climate.
o Coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, a group of young interfaith activists who will codesign the Summit.
o Responsible for coordinating the remainder of the Youth Forum for Faith and Ecology in partnership with LSE.
