Your Day-to-Day

• Support children and young people with have neuro developmental disabilities attending the school holiday schemes and weekend clubs.
• Create a fun, inclusive and engaging environment where children and young people feel safe, valued and free to express themselves through play.
• Use a personalised approach (based on information provided in a care plan) to ensure that their needs are met and they are supported to communicate in their preferred method (Speech, Makaton, Gestures, Symbols, etc.)
• Assist with personal care where required such as toileting, eating, drinking. Some of the children and young people we support have complex medical needs and require additional support to meet their basic needs; full training is provided.
• Ensure all activities meet health and safety standards and safeguarding expectations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and deliver high-quality experiences.
• Communicate effectively with the Service Manager, colleagues, and parents/carers to share updates or concerns.
• Help set up and tidy activity areas before and after sessions.
• Attend team meetings, debriefs and training sessions to continuously improve practice.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible and creative thinking, willing to adapt quickly to situations and go with the flow.
• Awareness of Health & Safety and safeguarding.
• Must be aged 18 or older.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting children or young people with disabilities.
• Understanding of neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental disabilities or a willingness to learn.
• QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) in childcare or a related subject.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the Jewish community.

We’re seeking a determined, values-driven Director of Fundraising to drive income generation across several different disciplines, helping to ensure we can continue delivering vital support to people affected by brain injury.

This role isn’t just about setting strategy; it’s about being actively involved in in a hands-on capacity as you build relationships and lead fundraising efforts across community, individual giving, corporate partnerships, events, legacies and trusts fundraising.

You will also oversee and support the Head of Retail, ensuring that income from our charity shops contributes effectively to the organisation’s overall financial sustainability and growth.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will also have the opportunity to shape Headway’s future and contribute to key decisions across the charity, including working with trustees and contributing to board meetings.

Key areas of accountability

• Develop, maintain, and evolve a multi‑year fundraising strategy (3‑5 years) aligned with Headway’s strategy, priorities, and risk appetite.
• Lead the development and delivery of income generation plans across all fundraising channels (retail, individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, events, legacies, and community fundraising), translating organisational objectives into clear annual targets, growth strategies, and actionable fundraising plans.
• Personally lead on key fundraising initiatives, cultivating and stewarding donor relationships while overseeing a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities.
• Use data-driven insights to evaluate performance, inform strategy, and identify opportunities for growth.
• Manage and inspire a fundraising team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional development.
• Oversee the Head of Retail and ensure the effective operation and strategic development of Headway’s charity shops.
• Monitor fundraising performance and report on progress to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.
• Play an active role within the Senior Leadership Team, contributing insight and expertise on income generation, fundraising performance, risk, scenario planning, and resource allocation, while working closely with colleagues to support decision-making and drive organisational priorities.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser who has performed at a director level or equivalent, ideally at a charity with a UK-wide reach.

You will be able to nurture and develop the fundraising team, building a strong culture in line with the organisation’s values, and motivating others to achieve shared goals by using your working knowledge of various fundraising disciplines.

You will be a skilled communicator, able to build relationships with and instil confidence in internal and external stakeholders including donors, supporters, and colleagues.

You will be confident and proficient in using CRM systems and fundraising platforms to manage supporter data, analyse performance and support donor engagement with data-informed decision making.

And you will be able to combine a strategic and analytic mindset with proactive, hands-on fundraising.

We’re looking for two, mutually-supporting, Finance Business Partners to join our Finance team at Woodgreen, where their insight and initiative will help shape the future of our charity in these newly created positions.

Our successful candidates will individually and collectively contribute to the effective financial management of Woodgreen Pets Charity and its trading subsidiary, Wood Green Enterprises Limited (“WGEL”).  They will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders to provide expert financial guidance, insight, challenge, and assurance across a wide range of financial management, planning and analysis activities.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, but working independently within the charity and often with minimal supervision, you will be confident using your own initiative to identify opportunities, risks, and solutions.  You will provide actionable insights for budget holders, whilst maintaining rigorous attention to the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and robust audit-ready record keeping.  You will:

• Build trust with decision makers and budget holders so that Finance Business Partner analysis, advice and guidance is actively sought and adds value in generating desired business outcomes.
• Provide insightful financial analysis, promoting commercial and risk awareness to inform decision making, providing constructive challenge and ensuring that financial governance, control and alignment to Woodgreen’s strategic plans is maintained.
• Be highly visible and engage early in supporting projects and leading them where required.  This will include the development of the financial aspects of business cases, particularly the financial aspects which ensure that business cases are of a consistent high quality and are robust and accurate.

The two roles will be equivalent, offering similar opportunities and challenges, but will be responsible for different areas of the charity’s work.  One role will partner with budget holders in the Income and Engagement Directorate, which includes responsibilities for regular audits of Woodgreen’s retail estate and may involve some regional travel.  The second role will partner with budget holders in the Pet and Corporate Services directorates, plus the CEO as the lead director for WGEL.

If you have:

• a detailed understanding of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, IF statements, and other advanced functions;
• the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data and understand complex interdependencies;
• strong influencing, communication and negotiating skills;
• a strategic mindset;
• are emotionally intelligent, can see the bigger picture, and consider the human impact behind the numbers;
• have an awareness of the current financial and economic environment affecting the charity sector.

And are a qualified member of CIMA or a CCAB, or qualified by substantial experience in an equivalent Finance Business Partner role with demonstrable evidence of ongoing relevant Continuous Professional Development.

About Us

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees.  We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of 20 committed staff, roadshows in different cities, an online shop and two workshops, one in the capital and one in Birmingham.

To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

Duites and Responsibilities 

This role will provide maternity cover for an initial period of 12 months, with the potential for a 1–2 month extension. It will focus on developing new corporate partnerships and managing relationships with our existing corporate supporters.The role holder will work closely with the Chief Executive and Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Retail to ensure a strategic approach to the development and management of relationships with our corporate partners, enabling us to maximise the potential from them.

As well as leading income generation, the post will develop current and new corporate partnerships, providing personalised stewarding journeys.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of securing income directly from corporates for charity, both winning and securing new partnerships as well as maintaining and developing existing supporters. They will be able to prioritise, manage pipelines, research, pitch and manage partnerships to increase their value.

Location

Hybrid, with one day a week working from our London (Brixton) office. Occasional travel required to Birmingham, evening or weekend work.

Art Explora is seeking a full time Community Programme Coordinator to lead on the day-to-day running of the Community Programme in London, working closely with Art Explora’s Community Programme Manager and coordinating programme volunteers.  

Art Explora is a non-profit arts organisation founded in the UK in 2021. Our mission is to tackle the social, economic and geographic barriers that prevent many people from having the opportunity to take part in the arts. We increase access to arts and culture through innovative programming, new forms of engagement and by taking cultural projects into the heart of communities, schools and care settings. We believe in building connections through the arts. 

On the Community Programme we work in partnership with care settings, such as care homes and hospitals, to connect people in care with art and creativity. Working with volunteers, artists and musicians, we share the joy of art to combat loneliness and isolation. Our main programme strand is Arts at Home, supplemented by music sessions, Music at Home, delivered in partnership with Spitz Music, and arranging trips, Art Explorers At…, for residents to visit museums, galleries and theatres.

During Arts at Home sessions, volunteers introduce residents to a variety of artworks, accompanied by open-ended questions and thought-provoking prompts designed to spark conversations and connections within care settings. Our aim is to bring residents together to encourage independent thinking, combat loneliness, improve their wellbeing, and to experience arts and culture just as everyone should have the right to.

We are seeking a Community Programme Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of the programme and work closely with the Community Programme Manager to expand our offer. 

Key Responsibilities

• Programme administration including but not limited to being the first point of contact and managing the volunteering inbox, processing expenses, sending weekly confirmation emails to volunteers and a monthly newsletter, and inputting monitoring data 
• Delivering and facilitating Arts at Home, and other community programme sessions 
• Support planning and delivery of trainings and events for volunteers – volunteer inductions, volunteer social events, and volunteering bespoke trainings 
• Coordinate ‘Art Explorers At’ trips to cultural venues 
• Increase knowledge within the team with research and advocacy of best practice

Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance is a national, user-led charity run by and for people with muscle-weakening conditions. We empower adults with neuromuscular conditions to live fulfilling lives through peer support, information, advocacy, and co-produced research and campaigns. You will work closely with the CEO, Research Manager, and members of our lived experience research advisory group. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the research cycle — from design to dissemination — and will ensure that our research is ethical, inclusive, and grounded in co-production principles.

• Support the design of research studies in collaboration with the lived experience team and academic partners.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities and work with Unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a full-time role and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a relevant sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. About The Role
We are recruiting for a Head of Audience Strategy to join on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role working full-time, 35 hours per week, with occasional travel required for team and stakeholder meetings and events.

The last few years have seen unprecedented growth in the public profile of dementia, driven in part by the growing size, impact and ambition of Alzheimer’s Society – the UK’s leading dementia charity. We now need to ensure that everyone who needs dementia support today can access it, while improving our ability to attract, engage and retain the donors, volunteers and campaigners who so generously give money, time and voice to deliver enduring change. Crucial to this is strategic audience development: driving growth by being clearer about who we need to engage, why, and how.

As Head of Audience Strategy, you will develop a comprehensive strategy that delivers a step-change in the maturity and effectiveness of audience insight at Alzheimer’s Society. Built on a range of high-quality insight, data analysis and modelling, the strategy will reflect the evolving relationship to dementia and our Society among the public and other key external stakeholders.

You will work to identify the priority groups we need to engage to drive sustainable growth across all areas of engagement. You and your team will support teams to develop acquisition and engagement strategies which feel truly audience-led, orchestrating warm supporter communications and journeys which ensure we’re growing the right audiences to meet our objectives.

A priority will be ensuring that teams have the right tools to understand, segment and target their priority audiences. You will also be responsible for supporting teams to generate high-quality evaluations of activity in relation to audience goals – using these to capture new insights that improve our overall understanding and demonstrate the value of your team. At all times, you’ll act as an articulate champion of the power of audience strategy. You will lead senior conversations across the Society about what we know and wish to achieve with our audiences and constantly seek opportunities for your team to support others to enhance their impact and deepen their engagement.

We have provisionally scheduled the first stage of interviews for this role to take place on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience in developing and implementing audience or engagement strategies, and extensive experience of diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analysis. You will also be able to demonstrate proven ability to synthesise these insights and apply them to all levels of the marketing funnel, across cold and warm audiences.

Crucially, you’ll be able to build positive relationships, influence key stakeholders and use your communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate cross-functional teams. You’ll be able to take a holistic view across the areas you manage and use this insight to contribute to organisational strategy through an audience development lens.

You don’t need to have a background in the charity sector, and you may or may not have a connection to dementia, you might be an accomplished Audience Insight professional looking for progression or be an established senior leader in this area already. We’re interested to hear from you if you feel that your skills and experience could be transferred to this role. We hope the Society’s purpose and ambition resonates with you, and you’ll be motivated to help drive significant growth across all our engagement channels in the coming years.

What you’ll focus on:

- Developing and implementing a Society-wide audience strategy that demonstrably helps to drive growth by clearly laying out the key groups that Alzheimer’s Society needs to engage (including how and why) to progress different areas of our activity.
- Supporting senior stakeholders to create sub-strategies that help directorates and departments working on specific activities, campaigns, content and channels to clarify their target audiences for engagement (acquisition and retention) to drive growth and impact.
- Acting as our leading ambassador and spokesperson for audience strategy and insight, representing our audience knowledge and approach in senior forums as well as with key external partners (e.g. media and creative agencies).
- Leading the evaluation of you and your team’s contribution, developing a high-performance culture rooted in continuous improvement and a growth mindset. In addition to demonstrating the benefits of a more strategic approach to audience insight in terms of driving growth and impact.
- Oversee the co-ordinated delivery of high-quality insight, analysis and delivery from your teams, ensuring that their outputs meet the strategic and operational needs of the Society at large, and individual marketing and engagement teams.
- Using your understanding of our audiences and audience strategies to ensure our policies, processes and systems are optimised to grow engagement in line with our ambitions.

Responsibilities

The employee will provide day-to-day support to the Ambassadors team. In this role, Ambassador Community Coordinator  will:

• Participate in the implementation of a “white glove” strategy aimed at retaining and engaging a broad and sustainable base of VVIP contacts while strengthening their sense of belonging to the Ambassadors community.
• Support the team in organising and coordinating a calendar of events, particularly Ambassador events taking place in Paris, London, Brussels (and sometimes New York).
• Produce communication and engagement materials to animate the community on various platforms and to promote its actions externally.
• Be responsible for researching and monitoring news about the community.
• Contribute to the identification and integration of new Ambassadors (recruitment, onboarding, etc.).
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the database.
• Be responsible for any other tasks that may be assigned to them as part of their duties.

Skills and qualifications required for this position:
