Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
- Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail with excellent customer care
- Priority is to answer incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to Supporter Care Manager
- Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
- Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
- Be responsible for thanking our supporters including by letter, email and phone, despatch of information and fundraising materials
- Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
- Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date this will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
- Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
- Manage removal process and consent process
- Assist with sending out problem payment letters
- Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on Database
- Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
- Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
- Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Supporter Care Manager, Head of Supporter Care & Database, and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Supporter Care Manager or Head of Supporter Care & Database.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent phone manner
- Strong eye for detail, methodical and accurate (critical that the database and supporter details at 100% accurate)
- Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).
- Attitude of continuous improvement, and lifelong learning.
- At least two years’ experience in a junior supporter care or administrative role
- Experience of donation or financial administration and working in a direct marketing environment or supporter care environment desirable with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent proficiency with CRM systems (Ideally Raiser’s Edge) and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Experience of outward facing donor stewardship, and relationship building.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and possess problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Can work on own initiative and be able to show initiative.

Main Duties:
1. To be responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of the organisation’s Marketing plan.

5. To develop and manage brand guidelines on behalf of the organisation and to ensure that all staff, trustees and volunteers adhere to the guidelines when representing the organisation.
6. To be responsible for the design, production and circulation of all printed materials on behalf of Qube.
7. Network and develop relationships with media outlets, providing press releases to them on a regular basis on the work of Qube.
8. To develop new ways of communicating the messages of Qube to potential customers, stakeholders, as well as to the general public.
9. Any other work as agreed with the Chief Officer or line manager.

About the role
Smart Works exists to empower all women who need help getting into work. We are currently in a significant growth phase, doubling the number of women we support to 10,000 women a year by 2025. As such, we require vital cornerstone funding and are seeking to establish a Major Gifts function, to secure donations from high-net worth individuals, that will enable us to achieve our mission and help thousands of women to transform their lives.
This is an exciting new role that provides an opportunity to build a new major gifts programme from scratch. Supported by the Director of Partnerships, you will work closely with the CEO, Board, and our network of 750 volunteers, to develop a giving strategy that will engage and grow a new pool of crucial supporters for Smart Works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing major donors, as well as conducting prospect research, developing bespoke stewardship materials, and securing five-figure and six-figure repeat gifts.
We seek an excellent communicator, with significant experience in influencing, negotiating and exceeding set targets. Creativity, an understanding of women’s fashion, and knowledge of wealth circles would also be advantageous.

Duties and responsibilities

- Research and identify prospective major donors who could support Smart Works, through existing warm networks and via outreach to cold audiences
- Work collaboratively across teams and functions to produce creative and compelling propositions and materials to secure both core and restricted funding
- Represent Smart Works to a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences to generate income and raise brand awareness
- Develop cultivation events considering regional hotspots
- Acknowledge, thank and recognize donors appropriate to their level of support and ensure restricted gifts are appropriately allocated
- Manage donor database and reporting
- Support Smart Works’ local centres across the UK and share learnings and guidance to help others build their Major Gifts potential
Skills, knowledge and personal attributes
Essential Criteria
- A track record of cultivating strong and positive relationships with multiple, senior and high-net worth individuals
- Demonstrable experience of making the ask, and an ability to support senior staff, volunteers and trustees to do so
- Interpersonal verbal communication and presentation skills, in order to foster strong relationships with donors and networks alike

Bath Welcomes Refugees (BWR) is a small charity established in 2016 by volunteers with the initial intention of supporting Syrian Refugees. Since then, there have been growing crises across in the world, Afghanistanand Ukraine being the most significant recently.

BWR is looking to recruit a part time Volunteer Coordinator on an initial one-year contract. Reporting to the Operations Officer you will be responsible for recruiting, overseeing induction, training as well as the day-to-day coordination and supervision of our volunteers.

Outline of the Role
You will be the key volunteer contact, recruiting, co-ordinating training, carrying out background and DBS checks and supporting volunteers in their various roles across the organisation to enable BWR to meet its aims.
- You will work with and provide support to the Operations Officer, Team Leaders, the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Support Coordinator and to ensure we provide appropriate resources to support our families and individuals to meet their individual specific needs.
- Assess the suitability of volunteersin their allotted volunteer role, in conjunction with the Team leader, prior to the end of their probationary period and identify the need for additional training or other support required for the volunteer to be successful in their role.
- Provide information about the work of BWR to potential volunteers and promote volunteering in the wider community to identify potential volunteers.
- Maintaining our Case Management System.
- Liaising with the Communications Team in relation to the website and other digital communications in respect of volunteer activity.
- This is an initial one-year contract, with hybrid working (office and home). The role will require flexibility to attend meetings, liaising with refugee families and asylum seekers either during the day, evening or at weekends within the Bath and surrounding area.
The role is based on 29 hours per week with a pro rata salary of £25-27k full time equivalent (commensurate with experience).
The role will require an enhanced DBS check.

Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank is a local independent charity founded in 2013, we are part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity who support a network of foodbanks who provide practical support and emergency food to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for foodbanks in the UK.
Our foodbank is predominantly run by over 150 volunteers. Our volunteer workforce is the heart of the charity having seen the Foodbank change considerably in 10 years, move location a number of times and seen the demand for our services grow.
Our Mission
To provide emergency food and support in Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding areas for people in need, and to work with partners to prevent and relieve poverty.
Overall responsibility of the job:
We are seeking a volunteer coordinator to join our small team of staff. The postholder will take responsibility for the recruitment, training, and retention of our volunteer workforce.
The postholder will develop our existing volunteer programme, recruit, and grow the number of volunteers and deploy them into tasks and roles suitable to their individual skills.
Specific responsibilities
- Research and write volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments
- Develop new volunteer roles that complement the service
- Develop and market volunteering opportunities to attract new volunteers
- Recruit and select new volunteers
- Develop and deliver an induction and ongoing training programme for volunteers
- Supervise, support, motivate and review volunteers and their work
- Organise and manage volunteer meetings and events including Team Leader meetings
- Manage volunteers on a day-to-day basis including drawing up rotas, maintaining databases and processing expenses claims
- Promote the value of volunteering within the organisation and with our partner agencies across different sectors.
General
- Be part of the Foodbank staff team responsible for the overall management of the Foodbank.
- Generate income, write funding bids, and raise funds to make projects sustainable
- Monitor and evaluate Foodbank activity and write reports for funders and trainees
- Undertake additional duties occasionally, commensurate with grade of this post.

The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping families affected by retinoblastoma and shares our values to increase awareness through communications and appeals, expanding our social media and website content and supporting our exciting fundraising efforts.
You will have a high level of autonomy and will be given the opportunity to develop new ideas in a role that is varied and flexible.
Key Objectives of the role:
- To assist the Fundraising Manager on the organisation of events primarily mass participation events
- To assist the Fundraising Manager in providing excellent stewardship to all of CHECT’s supporters

- To provide admin and communication support to the wider CHECT team, monitoring the info@inbox and collecting and sending office post

Position Overview: As the Head of Alumni Relations, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong connections with our alumni network. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and oversee the management of our university ambassadors, ensuring they effectively represent and promote our organisation's mission and values within their respective institutions. Additionally, you will chair the alumni advisory board, a committee developed to grow the alumni community and act as a sounding board feeding back into the organisation's strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Ambassador Program Management: Develop and implement strategies to recruit, train, and support university ambassadors. Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to ambassadors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Monitor ambassador performance and provide feedback to optimise their effectiveness.
Relationship Building: Collaborate with university administrators and career services to maximise our presence on campus, developing new pipelines for future delegate recruitment.
Alumni Advisory Board Management:Recruit, onboard, and engage members for the Alumni advisory board. Facilitate board meetings, set agendas, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among board members. Seek input and guidance from the board on alumni engagement strategies and initiatives.
Alumni Development: Organise CPD opportunities for alumni, including seminars, webinars, and skill-building workshops. Coordinate social get-togethers and informal networking events to facilitate connections and foster community among alumni..
