Job description

Are you looking for a role where your talents as a fundraising professional can benefit tens of thousands of families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people?

Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people – providing over 88,000 grants and services worth over £33 million last year.

As Fundraising Coordinator, you will provide a high level of supporter care to donors, coordinating fundraising activities, covering organisation of smaller events, trust fundraising and implementing individual giving plans. You will work across the fundraising team to support and work on the development of existing and future income generation.

Acting as the primary contact for all individual donors and digital fundraisers, you will coordinate the stewardship of regular and one off donors, building lasting relationships and the delivery of individual giving plans to recruit new donors and grow income. You will work to expand current fundraising activity and create new opportunities for Family Fund, by promoting the organisation with creativity and credibility to potential supporters.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the communications team to create social media and online content, specifically taking responsibility of the fundraising pages on the website, regularly checking content to keep up to date.
  • Market and steward participants for smaller third party fundraising events
  • Recording supporter communications in the database (Salesforce) and generating personalised thanking for donors in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will be motivated and driven in order to identify appropriate fundraising opportunities, organise and deliver fundraising events and engage with those who wish to support our work. You will have experience of fundraising in paid or voluntary capacity, be a resourceful self-starter with excellent administration, organisation and time management skills – planning, prioritising and managing workload with the ability to meet deadlines.

This post is based in York with travel across the UK.
