About the role

We are looking for someone in our London/Brussels/Berlin offices with strong charity sector experience to help drive practical change in compliance, tools, and systems. Join us on a fixed-term basis to lead process improvements and advise on funder compliance, supporting a growing and dynamic fundraising team. Part-time (3 days a week) or Full-time considered.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Laura Mertsching. Laura joined ClientEarth in 2022 and is based in London. For 2.5 years, Laura has been focussed on improving our policies, processes and tools to improve funder compliance and efficiency, and working in collaboration especially with fundraisers, internal legal council and finance staff. At the beginning of 2025, Laura was seconded to lead a cross-departmental project to align internal systems, processes and tools, which is why she is hiring a support role at the moment to drive forward key initiatives of her original role. Laura is an experienced project manager with experience working in the humanitarian and international development sector for more than five years before joining ClientEarth.

Main Duties

• Contributing to the delivery of the global Fundraising Strategy through driving improvements of relevant policies, processes and tools along the entire funding management cycle ensuring effective and efficient internal operations
• Effectively plan and deliver priority initiatives (including policy revision, risk matrix tool development, streamlining corporate income processes) collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that relevant perspectives are incorporated and work with their line manager on effective prioritisation
• Enable effective decision-making across ClientEarth’s existing and continuously growing funding portfolio, and occasionally review new funding agreements and advise staff during the contracting process

The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your educational skills, in a natural environment, whilst engaging young people,  as well as our local communities.  You will have a background and passion for teaching and engaging a range of audiences, to learn about the importance of our rivers, together with the ecosystems that survive and thrive around them.  You will have a hands on approach, with the ability to design, develop and deliver a range of educational activities to suit your varying audiences.  You will enjoy having time working independently to create your teaching sessions, either in an office environment or at home, as well as being outside, delivering your teaching or activities.

Whilst you will predominately cover the Surrey catchment area, you will be happy and flexible to work anywhere within the south east, together with some degree of flexibility with the hours that you work, so that events can be held on occasional evenings and weekends.  Your time will be spent at home developing your sessions, delivering a range of activities such as guided walks or talks, as well as hands on activities in and around a river, or educational events.

Casework & Training Lead Officer

We’re seeking a Lead Officer to play a central role in the busy Amicus team, with the position’s focus being on casework and on training.  The role offers a great deal of variety: coordinating our busy casework programme of projects, including supporting caseworkers and teams; and leading in the delivery of training and educational events, especially those aimed at our casework teams.

You will be part of a small team, which means we all pitch in to help each other when necessary. Workload will be demanding at times, an ability to work across multiple tasks and to prioritise will be essential.  Given the critical and highly sensitive nature of our work, attention to detail, meeting deadlines and quality of work all are a high priority.  You will be interacting with law firms and volunteers all around the world, making communication skills essential for the role.

This is a hybrid role; there will be a requirement to be in our central London office, generally Thursday and Fridays, as well as for casework briefings at law firms as required within the working day, alongside some remote working. Office hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm with an hour lunch break. We run two major training events each year that would require weekend working. Support of busy casework programme:

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team at a time of growth, ambition and innovation. We are looking for a strategic, expert and collaborative Director of Partnerships and Insight to help us build and deliver impactful national partnerships that bring real, measurable benefits to communities across the UK.

You will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-value, strategic partnerships—whether with government departments (such as DCMS), major trusts and foundations (like the Henry Smith Charity), corporate partners, or other longstanding partners (such as the National Emergencies Trust).

You’ll work closely with community foundations to shape strong proposals and lead the end-to-end implementation of partnerships and programmes.

You’ll also play a key role in helping UKCF and the wider network become more insight-led and data-driven—strengthening our approach to programme design, learning, and impact evaluation. You’ll work closely with our Digital Transformation team to embed best practice in the use of data and evidence.

This role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, confidence working at a national level, and the ability to develop and articulate clear theories of change and evaluation frameworks. Subject expertise in areas such as philanthropy, AI, social cohesion, neighbourhood health or climate is desirable.

You will report to the CEO and be a key member of the Senior Management Team.

Key responsibilities

Strategic partnerships development

You will lead the identification, development, and stewardship of national strategic partnerships that align with UKCF’s mission and deliver meaningful outcomes for our partners and for communities across the UK.

This includes initiating and negotiating collaborations with government departments, large foundations, businesses, and sector partners. Working closely with community foundations across the country, you will co-create proposals and programme designs that draw on local expertise and deliver impact at scale.

From inception to evaluation, you will oversee the full partnership lifecycle, ensuring robust governance, clear communication, and high-quality delivery throughout.

Insight and impact

A central part of the role is to embed a strong culture of learning and evidence across UKCF’s national partnerships. You will shape and implement theories of change and robust evaluation frameworks, working with partners and community foundations to ensure that programme outcomes are clearly defined, measured, and communicated.

You will collaborate with the Digital Transformation team to improve our use of data and insight, driving forward a more evidence-led approach to programme design and influencing. Through this work, you will help generate actionable insights that inform future partnerships and strengthen our case for support with funders and policymakers.

Leadership and collaboration

You will manage our Programmes Officer, with responsibility for supporting their professional development. You will work closely with the Chief Executive to develop plans for growing the team, grounded in the need to ensure financial sustainability.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will play a key role in strategic decision-making and organisational development. You will provide visible leadership across UKCF, championing collaboration and innovation internally and externally.

You will cultivate strong, trusting relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including community foundation leaders, funders, and public sector partners. Representing UKCF at high-level events and forums, you will contribute thought leadership on place-based philanthropy and community-led change. We are the Government’s National College for Digital Skills and are passionate about educating and empowering the next generation of diverse digital talent through our Sixth Form and our Apprenticeship Programme. We are a growing college with a Sixth Form and Apprenticeship Programme in London Victoria and Manchester. Our student body is diverse and we are committed to using tech as a tool for social mobility. 

All of our students study computer science for at least 70% of their curriculum; our wider curriculum offering affords our learners extensive contact with our industry partners through our skills curriculum, guest speakers, work place visits, exceptional interactions, coaching program and industry projects. 

Our students achieve highly across all subjects and progress to an amazing range of destinations. Our current cohort of Y13 learners have received fantastic offers from a host of Russell Group Universities, as well as employers to join their respective apprenticeship schemes.

Purpose of the Role

You will provide administrative support to our skills curriculum, that we deliver to every learner across Y12 and Y13, as well as support our learners to build their knowledge of their progression options by supporting the many industry and university interactions we curate. This will require meaningful collaboration with our Sixth Form team, our learners, as well as the External Relations Team. You will also be tasked to provide administrative support to our T-level learners when they are on their industry placements. This is an immensely rewarding role for the right candidate and will play a substantial part in a student’s progression during their two years of study in our sixth form. 

Main Responsibilities

To support the delivery of our skills curriculum by providing all administrative support necessary to facilitate:

• Teaching staff to secure learner engagement in their skills development; 
• External third parties to contribute to the skills curriculum;
• Industry volunteers and wider Ada staff to assess learners’ skills.

To provide all administrative support necessary to facilitate, amongst others:

• In college workshops from universities;
• Campus visits;

About Us 

Metabolic Support UK is the leading organisation for people living with inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) and their families. We provide expert support and advocacy, champion research, and work with health services and policy-makers to ensure people with IMDs and their families get the care they need and deserve. 

The Role 

We are looking for a curious and committed Research & Policy Officer to help us build the evidence base to improve the lives of people affected by IMDs. Reporting to the Head of Insight & Advocacy, you will play a key role in delivering our research projects, keeping tabs on relevant policy developments, and helping shape our responses to consultations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Research (under supervision of the Head of Insight & Advocacy): 

• Support the design, planning, and delivery of qualitative and quantitative research projects 

• Conduct literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, and data analysis 

• Contribute to survey development, focus groups, and interviews with people living with IMDs, families, clinicians and other stakeholders 

• Assist with analyses and write up findings in accessible and engaging ways for different audiences 

• Ensure all research is ethical, inclusive, and relevant to the needs of the IMD community 

Policy Monitoring and Response: 

• Track developments in policy relevant to rare diseases and inherited metabolic conditions 

• Summarise key policy updates for internal and external audiences 

• Support the drafting of consultation responses, position statements, and policy briefings 

• Contribute to campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and policy influencing activities 

• Help ensure the voice of the IMD community is reflected in national and local policy discussions

We are recruiting for a Immediate Individual Giving Officer for a FTC for 2 months ,which could be extended for an inspiring children's charity. You will be supporting the administration of a summer appeal going out , we are looking for an immediate candidate who can start in June, initially the contract it will be for 2 months .

The Role
To act as the first point of contact for Individual Giving and provide on-going support to donors. This includes but is not limited to, thanking donors, responding to enquiries and providing support and advice in relation to donating to the charity
To deliver and fine tune stewardship for all one-off and regular donors. Stewardship must thank supporters in a timely manner and provide information and inspiration to show how the donor how their gift makes a difference. This includes sending emails and letters, welcome packs, and personalised email updates and resources.
To support the Head of Public Fundraising with appeals and other Individual Giving projects that the charity will be running an appeal in June and in November and December in the lead up to Christmas.
To utilise Raisers Edge database to record and track donor interactions.
To manage income processing for one-off donations, cash and cheques.
To work with the Database Manager to tidy donor records and maintain accurate records.

The Candidate
Knowledge and understanding of Individual Giving fundraising
