We are the UK’s leading charity for all those affected by endometriosis, determined to ensure that everyone gets prompt diagnosis and the best treatment and support. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team at Endometriosis UK and help us make a real difference for the 1.5 million in the UK with the disease. This is a crucial role for our small but growing charity, supporting the CEO to ensure the smooth running of the organisation. You’ll be a key point of contact, proactively managing all aspects of EA support to the CEO to enable them to maximise their performance and delivery, as well as coordinating our governance administrative systems and processes. You will be working as part of a passionate team with a strong commitment to achieving change to help those with living with endometriosis.  

The role will be ideal for a highly organised, proactive, and experienced Executive Assistant used to working on their own initiative and comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. You will be a born organiser, with superb judgment, a diplomatic approach, solution focused and with excellent problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to think two steps ahead, guided by our strategic and operational priorities, and the confidence to steer senior managers accordingly. You will bring a meticulous attention to detail and exemplary skills in prioritisation, time management and task completion. Advanced skills in MS Office are essential. Your written and verbal communication skills will be first-rate, with stakeholders at all levels. You will be comfortable handling confidential material with the utmost discretion. You will have proven experience supporting senior executives and Boards, ideally in the charity or non-profit sector. The EA will also play a proactive role in improving organisational processes and supporting priority areas as needed.

This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the CEO to make sure their diary supports their strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include managing, triaging and responding to emails, complex diary management to ensure effective use of their time, providing briefing papers and ensuring the CEO is well prepared for meetings, and ensuring we’ve efficient governance and office processes. You will need to have the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and sensitivity, with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. You will act as that indispensable individual for the CEO, ultimately responsible for proactively ensuring their work life runs effectively and efficiently. The key focus of the role is to ensure the CEO is able to maximise their impact and influence in the charity, plus ensuring the smooth operation of board and committee functions,

As Behaviour Officer, you'll take the lead, figuratively and literally, when it comes to the assessments of our dogs and their training programmes. You'll play a key role in supporting adopters, during the adoption process and after rehoming, to ensure that every dog has the best possible chance of successfully settling into their new life.  

What does this role do?

As a Behaviour Officer you’ll: 

• assess the behaviour of dogs, before they enter the centre and during their stay, to identify potential behaviour needs, as per Dogs Trust Standard Operating Procedures. 
• design and implement Behaviour Modification Programmes and training plans to enhance each dog’s chances of rehoming, in support of the centre’s priorities based on individual dog welfare and requirements.
• oversee and support the implementation of training and behaviour plans by colleagues. Work with other departments to modify and seek guidance. 
• monitor the progress of individual training and rehabilitation programmes and maintain detailed records of the progress of each dog. Provide professional training, support and assessment colleagues. 

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you'll have a thorough knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare, including understanding the principles underlying learning and the ability to write training and behaviour programs. You'll also have achieved ATBC competence at Animal Trainer level and have achieved specific competences from the Behaviour Technician standard. You'll have excellent communication skills with the ability to handle delicate situations sensitively and professionally and have the ability to and experience in handling difficult dogs. But above all, you'll be passionate and committed to the work of Dogs Trust.

A full, manual driving licence is also essential, as driving will be a part of the role.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to support the Centre Manager in managing the facility known as SCTC Raleigh which is hosted at HMS Raleigh. We operate within and as part of HMS Raleigh, this requires significant co-ordination and liaison across the wider team at HMS Raleigh. The purpose of SCTC Raleigh is to facilitate and support the delivery of cadet training for all organisations of the Royal Navy Cadet Forces. This role is responsible for facilities management and health and safety reporting to the Centre Manager.

The postholder will engage proactively with central and local government, devolved authorities, and regional mayors, ensuring that the voices and experiences of Muslim-led organisations are represented in policy development and decision-making. 

They will work collaboratively with MCF’s Communications, Partnerships, and Systemic Change and Sector Capacity teams to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach that delivers sustainable, long-term impact.

• Develop and deliver the next three-year Policy and Advocacy Strategy aligned with MCF’s organisational objectives.

2. Policy, Research and Insight 

• Monitor and analyse UK policy and regulatory developments affecting Muslim-led civil society.

3. Influencing and Stakeholder Engagement 

• Lead MCF’s engagement with central government, local authorities, devolved administrations and regional mayors, as well as regulators and sector networks.

• Coordinate MCF’s public affairs activity, including roundtables, Select Committee and APPG engagement, and representation at high-level external forums.

Person Specification 

Essential Criteria 

• Significant experience (5+ years) in senior policy, advocacy or influencing roles within the UK charity or voluntary sector. 

• Demonstrable success influencing government at national, local or devolved levels, achieving measurable policy or funding change. 

• Strong understanding of the UK charity policy, funding and regulatory environment. 

• Knowledge of the UK Muslim-led and/or faith-based civil society landscape.

Working within our Policy and Public Affairs team, the Senior Policy Officer will work across the Nuffield Foundation family to enable evidence-based influence among a broad range of stakeholders including Government, parliamentarians, other policymakers at national and regional level and the third sector.

You will contribute to thinking and development of prioritised policy areas with within our strategic review, produce external policy outputs (including reports, briefings, consultation responses, letters and web content) as well as internal briefings on key policy issues for senior colleagues, and teams across the organisation.

The Senior Policy Officer will also horizon scan and monitor forthcoming legislation and policy agendas as well as monitoring parliamentary activity and support our parliamentary engagement strategies to promote Nuffield-funded research.

You will already have some experience of working in a policy or public affairs role, with an excellent understanding of the political climate and mechanisms of the UK political system.

You will have knowledge of social policy issue and be comfortable working with academic research and be able to identify opportunities where the Foundation can achieve real impact with its work.

· Dignity in Dying is the UK’s leading campaign for assisted dying law reform. We fight for a compassionate assisted dying law for terminally ill, mentally competent adults. We are a national campaign and membership organisation campaigning for change across the UK.

· Compassion in Dying is a national charity working to amplify people’s voices, shift attitudes and drive changes to the healthcare system so people’s end-of-life decisions are heard, understood and respected when it matters most. We support people to start honest conversations about death and dying, and record and revisit their wishes whenever they want to.

The role

We are looking for an experienced, proactive media professional to join our team during a crucial phase of Dignity in Dying’s campaign. We welcome applicants with a strong news-sense, political nous and a flair for story-telling who can use the media and other channels to effectively influence a range of audiences. At a pivotal time for the movement for choice at the end of life, the successful candidate will be a team-player who can communicate complex subject matter in compelling and creative ways, keep abreast of media and political trends, support the delivery of national and regional comms plans and champion the voices of terminally ill people and bereaved families - both inside and outside Parliament.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Campaigns and Communications team in monitoring, evaluating and securing media coverage, along with developing and rolling out campaign activities.
• Assist in the efficient running of the press office including responding to incoming media enquiries in a timely manner, drafting and issuing media comments, compiling spokesperson briefings, and building and maintaining media lists.
• Oversee our media monitoring and its timely dissemination to staff, stakeholders and supporters, identifying where reactive responses are necessary or where there are proactive opportunities.
• Use the media monitoring to understand different media outlets' tone and framing of the issue, how this can impact our messaging and influence further opportunities for the campaign.
• Act as key point of contact with relevant suppliers, i.e. media monitoring providers, to ensure efficiency and value for money, identifying and acting upon opportunities for improvement. 
• Support the organisation’s work with terminally ill people and bereaved relatives who act as personal stories and spokespeople for our campaigns, projects and programmes, namely by responding to those who get in touch to share their experience in a professional, sensitive and timely manner, assessing suitability for media or other campaign work, and triaging to other members of the team where appropriate. 
• Maintain and update the personal story database to ensure usability and access from relevant members of the team while ensuring GDPR is upheld.
• Work with the Media & Campaigns Officer to secure local and regional coverage of personal stories, influential figures, local campaign activity and relevant research, informed by our national media strategy and plans. 
• Work closely with the Officer and Manager to plan media logistics for demonstrations, liaising with journalists, being proactive to ensure the smooth running of the event, and supporting personal stories and spokespeople.

About the Role

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation. You will help support the smooth operation of charity projects, media campaigns, and collaborations, while supporting the delivery of the charity’s community engagement and outreach activities.

A key focus of this role will be managing and maintaining the charity’s digital presence, including social media channels, newsletters, and website updates. You will plan, create, edit, and share content that reflects the charity’s mission and values, moderate online communities in line with our Social Media Policy, and collate insights to continually improve engagement and reach. The role also includes oversight of the volunteer and fundraising inboxes, ensuring timely responses and smooth communication. In addition, you will provide support for fundraising initiatives, including preparing funding applications, exploring new funding opportunities, and working closely with the Manging Director to help drive the charity’s impact.

Cavell is the charity that transforms the lives of nursing and midwifery professionals facing crisis and tough times. The need for Cavell has never been greater, and the charity is at its most critical point in its 108-year history as the demand for support is at an all-time high. Cavell is evolving their support offer to offer a Wellbeing Conversations service on a 12-month pilot aiming to help nursing and midwifery professionals to navigate feelings of stress, overwhelm or uncertainty.

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate, non-judgemental and empathetic individual who is experienced at supporting individuals in a Wellbeing role to co-deliver the Wellbeing Conversations Service. The successful candidate will use a blend of reflective listening, coaching-style questions, practical guidance and signposting to help nursing and midwifery professionals explore their stress, develop healthy coping mechanisms and empower them to address personal and work factors which are contributing to their stress.

This position operates as a job-share, and we are looking for someone to join the existing postholder in delivering the role.

Applicants should be comfortable working collaboratively and communicating effectively to provide seamless coverage and share responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

• Deliver Cavell’s Wellbeing Conversations service including conducting triage calls and delivering virtual Wellbeing sessions ensuring high-quality delivery, consistency, and responsiveness to demand.
• Ensure exceptional record keeping, ensuring that all relevant data protection and privacy legislation is adhered to.
• Undertake administrative duties to support the delivery of the service, including data entry.
• Have regular peer supervision with their job-share.

Collaboration:

• Co-lead on the evaluation of the Cavell Wellbeing Conversations service including building surveys, analysing data and creating reports.
