About the role:
This role offers hybrid working from home & our Gloucester office.

As a Children & Young Person's Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will:
- Provide one to one support and group work to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
- Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services & work collaboratively with professionals to improve the access to and quality of services for children & young people.
- Play a vital role in ensuring we provide high quality, end-to-end support to children & young people to help them to recover from abuse.
- Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.

About the Role
Working with the support and guidance of your manager, you will be responsible for delivering our Reconnect, family support and mediation service across the North East Region
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across Depaul’s services and with external agencies to reduce family breakdown. You will build and maintain a caseload of clients at risk of, or experiencing homelessness. You will work with clients in a variety of situations, including young people at school who are experiencing a breakdown in their family relationships, those who have been forced to leave their homes and are temporarily staying with our volunteer Nightstop hosts, and those who are now living in our accommodation services.
You will provide a wide range of support and guidance to these clients and their families, aiming to improve understanding and communication, reduce conflict and strengthen relationships, amongst other things. This will include a range of methods, including one-to-one and joint party mediation. Occasionally you may also provide basic guidance to young people and parents regarding their housing options.
With full support, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and safe management of the service on a day-to-day basis, including working in line with all relevant policies, procedures and best practice guidelines, as well as maintaining arcuate and up-to-date records on our database.
Key responsibilities include:
· Work directly with young people aged 11-25, and their families, who are experiencing family difficulties and at risk of homelessness, providing guidance, personalised family support and one-to-one and joint party mediation if appropriate;
· Carry a caseload of 15 – 20 clients per FTE for whom you will be the named keyworker;
· Process referrals from relevant agencies in order to build and maintain a full caseload of clients.
· Work in partnership with young people and their families to complete risk assessments, needs assessments and changes plans and outcome questionnaires to work with them towards measurable outcomes.
· Build strong working relationships with all Depaul colleagues and services across the region, as well as other relevant agencies and local authority teams, to promote the service, build effective referral routes and processes and provide holistic support to young people.
· Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date records of all aspects of your work, in line with monitoring and evaluation processes and standard operational procedures.
· Work closely with statutory bodies and other agencies to support any relevant safeguarding procedures, advocating on behalf of young people and parents/carers when necessary.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
· Significant experience working with young people and families in crisis; reflective, creative and solution-focused in your approach and committed to working in an assets-based way.
· To hold or complete a Level 4 Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate (IMPC). Training will be provided if the candidate doesn’t hold the qualification, but training will have to be completed before the end of the probation period.
· Experience of working independently and managing own caseload; self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks and carry out efficient organisation and administration.
· Experience of carrying out risk and needs assessments and support planning for clients.
· Ability to develop strong, collaborative and productive relationships with colleagues and key external agencies, promoting the value of our work and its impact on families.
· High level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain impartiality
· Willingness and ability to travel independently and work from a number of different locations across the London region.

Fine Cell Work (FCW) is a charity and creative social enterprise committed to the rehabilitation of people in prison, and post-release. Our innovative Open the Gate (OTG) programme at our Battersea Hub offers work experience, volunteering opportunities, accredited training, mentoring, and signposting support to participants/ Apprentices at any point on their resettlement journey. We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic Engagement and Support Officer (ESO) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by people in contact with the criminal justice system and will work proactively to establish meaningful and sustainable cross-referral pathways with external agencies. They will nurture a professional, inclusive, and safe working environment; use their knowledge, insights, and expertise to support tangible outcomes for all Open The Gate participants; and develop the wider programme offer in line with our organisational objectives.
In line with our risk management policies and processes, the successful candidate for this role will be expected to support Open the Gate Apprentices with a range of offending histories. Principal Accountabilities for the Core Job:
1. Nurturing a professional working environment where Open The Gate Apprentices are supported to achieve their potential.

- Demonstrable experience of adult safeguarding and a proven ability to assess, manage, and effectively communicate risks and vulnerabilities.

- A proven track record of case management, and experience ensuring all case records and caseload processes are clear and up to date.

You will be the local leader for Shelter’s Community Services, leading a multidisciplinary team in implementing Shelter’s strategy locally, delivering the local response to the housing emergency and empowering the local community in Sheffield to fight for home.
You will take the lead on the delivery of services and contracts to provide consistently high levels of performance, and plan and deliver service development strategies, including seeking business development opportunities that align with our strategic aims, both across Community Services and in partnership with the Lead Solicitor.
As the strategic lead for Sheffield, you will promote and direct systems change activity, so we better understand what is influencing people’s experience of homelessness and bad housing and have effective plans to influence change.
You will act as an ambassador for Shelter in the local area, representing the organisation through media, networks and local stakeholder engagement.
Alongside this, you will plan and implement resourcing plans for your Hub, including staffing, volunteers and engaging people with lived experience and will manage the Hub Leadership team. Ensuring there are multiple and ongoing opportunities for people with lived experience of homelessness and bad housing to be part of Hub development, activities and learning is a key element of this role, as well as upholding and promoting a learning culture with the Hub.
About you
A natural leader, who can inspire, others to advocate for change, you will have a proven working knowledge of homelessness, housing and related issues affecting local communities. You will possess sound experience of managing and delivering contracts, partnerships and services along with experience of being involved in implementing and reviewing change management, whilst demonstrating excellent budgeting and financial reporting skills.
The ability to proactively develop and maintain key relationships and having impressive analytical skills to use insight and evidence to present data, manage performance and to identify and implement systems change are vital to this role, as are impressive interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

About the Role

As an DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
You will need:
- Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.

The Role
As Team Leader (Court Services) you will be in a crucial role, responsible for the effective delivery of the Witness Service within your courts. The successful posholder will cover a number of courts. It's expected that cover will be needed in Blackburn Magistrates' Court Monday - Wednesdays and Burnley Courts Thursday - Fridays, but depending on trials and volunteer availability there will need to be flexibility to cover Burnley Magistrates Court, Crown Court and Blackburn across the full 5 days per week as well.

About the role

- Contribute to a strong learning culture through leading or supporting research, evaluation, innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Support Country Offices to integrate climate change risk management and resilience outcomes into ongoing and future humanitarian and developmental programmes, strategies, and policies.
- Contribute to and lead the development of climate-related research, studies, evaluations, and documentation of good practice to build a body of evidence, based on best practices and lessons learned from global and national experiences, to support (i) knowledge management, (ii) evidence generation, and (iii) programme improvements
- Facilitate capacity strengthening through mentoring, coaching, and training, providing formal and informal support to colleagues and partners to build expertise and effectiveness.
- Work closely with colleagues across Save the Children UK and the wider movement to ensure climate is mainstreamed across all thematic areas, ensuring that colleagues are equipped with the latest climate-related science and best practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including donors, government agencies, multilateral partners, and peer organisations, to enhance collaboration and secure funding for climate-related initiatives.
- Support Country Offices in building relationships with GCF National Designated Authorities (NDAs) and other key stakeholders to advance climate finance access and impact.
- Work with partnerships and fundraising teams to identify and develop strategic partnerships with external organisations that aligns with Save the Children's climate-related objectives, and to identify funding opportunities for climate-related projects.
About you
We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills
- Proven experience and the ability to design and implement large-scale climate adaptation programmes in developing countries, for multi-lateral and bi-lateral development partners
- Proven ability to translate complex scientific evidence on climate change into practical programming and policy recommendations
- Proven ability to strengthen evidence and learning uptake through analysis and collaboration, and proven ability to produce high-quality knowledge products (e.g. research, case studies, evaluations, etc.)
- Strategic thinker and demonstrated thought leader driven by impact and evidence, curious to keep up to date with new ideas and innovations, who sees the positive potential in change
- Experience of strengthening the integration of climate resilience and environmental sustainability into sectoral programs and/or Experience of designing and implementing nature-based solutions and adopting evidence-based ecosystem-based approaches
- Familiarity with global climate frameworks, funding mechanisms (e.g. the Green Climate Fund), and relevant policy processes.
- Experience supporting or managing multidisciplinary teams or consortia, ideally across countries or regions.
- The ability to be a thought leader in global or national adaptation planning such as climate and health; climate and nutrition; nature-based solutions; locally led adaptation; climate and gender; food and water security, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and authenticity that enable effective communication with different audiences
- Collaborative team player capable of coaching, motivating and working through others to achieve outstanding results
- Effective convenor, creating synergy and maximizing collaboration
- Proven ability to build external relationships and partnerships, and to influence decision-makers, policy audiences (including politicians) and donors, and other key actors globally

Location & Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but at times you will be required to come to your contracted office (usually between 2–4 days per month, depending on the needs of your role, team, or service). For many roles, this is likely to be the minimum required to deliver impact.
Ways of working will be discussed and agreed with your manager / team and we encourage candidates to discuss our ways of working in more detail at interview stage.
