As an Intervention Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Highbury Approved Premises. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence. A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
The role in Approved Premises (AP) involves supporting high-risk individuals transitioning from prison back into the community. Staff work closely with residents, providing guidance, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them build independence while maintaining a structured environment. Responsibilities include preparing meals, supporting rehabilitation plans in collaboration with probation and external agencies, and ensuring residents follow rules such as curfews and drug/alcohol testi
ng. Staff are also expected to assist in running and documenting activities, completing daily tasks, and keeping the premises safe, clean, and secure through regular checks and communication. A key aspect of the role is empowering residents to take responsibility for their own lives, without doing things for them, while providing support and supervision as needed. Staff must adhere to Hestia's policies and the Ministry of Justice's guidelines. 
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former service personnel deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

To support the charity’s income generation and stewardship of donors by working with the fundraising and events teams. There are a variety of annual special events that include but are not restricted to: Annual Charity Dinner, Armistice Address, Carol Service and Clay Shoot as well as Open Days, virtual events, AGM and the Secret Postcard Auction. To further support other fundraising teams in the logistics, stewardship and administration of events, activities, data management and input and donor engagement tasks.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Events Officer with all fundraising and stewardship events including the production, delivery, logistics and administration of our key special events
• Work with Income stream Heads, when required, to manage their donor engagement and cultivation events and activities
• Update the events section of the Combat Stress website
• Assist in researching venues and suppliers for events
• Liaise with and relationship manage external suppliers (caterers, printers, florists, venues) regarding events
• Help manage all printed materials related to events including designers, printers and advertisers
• Help source prizes for the live and silent auctions
• Raise and manage invoices as directed
• Input and manage event administration on Raiser’s Edge, always ensuring accurate records are maintained
• Process ticket applications and donations in lieu of tickets and ensure all supporters are thanked in a timely manner
• Attend events and assist the Senior Events Officer to ensure everything runs smoothly and all attendees at the event are well looked after. Some out of hours work is required

PURPOSE

The Principal Gifts Manager is a vital member of the Development team at the WHO Foundation, responsible for advancing strategic fundraising and engagement goals. The role will appeal to a talented principal gifts fundraiser motivated by the opportunity to make a transformative impact on the Foundation’s fundraising at a pivotal moment in its history.

By cultivating relationships with individuals, trusts, and corporations, this role will secure $3M+ funding from a diverse and growing community of supporters. The Principal Gifts Manager will connect these stakeholders to our mission through a blend of face-to-face meetings, events, tailored proposals, and compelling presentations. This role may also serve as a multi-market specialist, managing select portfolios.

REPORTS TO

 The Principal Gifts Manager will report to the Director of Development US for the WHO Foundation.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising and portfolio management:

• Increase philanthropic gifts to WHOF and build a sustainable pipeline of prospects and fundraising income.

• Manage a portfolio of 30-40 prospective donors and deliver multiple gifts at the $3 million + level.

•  Meet or exceed targets, including dollars raised, asks made, meetings secured, and gift closure rates.

• Develop strategies for multi-year transformational funding etc to : Develop strategies for multi-year transformational funding, working collaboratively with the Development Team to expand UHNW networks and corporate partners. Build plans to engage family offices, donor-advised funds, wealth advisors, and family foundations at the principal gift level.

• Efficiently use the CRM to track and report activity, support campaign data, and provide management information for senior leadership.

• Cultivate deep and meaningful principal gift relationships with prospects and donors.

• Develop strong working relationships with WHO and WHOF ’s staff and senior volunteers.

Relationship management:

• Design and execute effective cultivation/ solicitation strategies with potential donors that inspire major gifts to match fundraising priorities.

• Initiate and grow a personal network of senior influencers and connectors to strengthen and expand the principal gifts pipeline..

• Build mutually beneficial relationships with WHOF and WHO colleagues, particularly in relation to [around] fundraising projects, and align programmes of activity where appropriate.

• Create shared opportunities that support and advance the Foundation's fundraising priorities: replace: Identify and leverage shared opportunities that advance the Foundation’s fundraising priorities.

• Translate complex ideas into compelling messages tailored to supporters..

• Work with leadership and fundraisers from across the Foundation to identify potential funding priorities of interest to principal gift donors and prospects.

• Where assigned, lead on a geographical focus region’s overall engagement strategy, leveraging existing and planned foundation-wide activity to increase regional engagement, whilst collaborating with stakeholders, advocates and ambassadors to further identify new philanthropic funding opportunities

Collaboration:

• Work in partnership with the Finance team, Legal, Communications and wider WHOF teams to ensure gifts are processed in line with donor wishes and financial regulations

• Work with senior stakeholders to secure transformational gifts.

• Ensure the highest standards of donor care through effective stewardship, timely reporting, gift acknowledgment and continued engagement.

• Demonstrate tact, discretion and resourcefulness in all areas of performance.

Job requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years to attract senior-level US fundraisers. of experience in fundraising 

• Significant experience of managing principal gift portfolios and closing 7- and 8-figure gifts

• Proficient in building relationships and negotiating with UHNW and HNWI donors

• Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving challenging financial targets

• Demonstrable experience of designing and executing successful fundraising strategies

• Excellent knowledge of best practice in philanthropic fundraising applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Strong experience in health partnership with health emergencies and corporate partners is also welcome

• Thorough knowledge of IT systems, database management and Salesforce.

• Experience working in an international organization and/or in international development within a complex stakeholder environment

• Knowledge of US philanthropic networks and organizations

• Self motivated, target driven and aptitude to work with flexibility and autonomy both individually and as part of a multi-stakeholder team

• Comfort with and/or experience of operating in a lean, start-up and remote environment

• Excellent attention to detail and applied successfully in international development, higher education, health, or nonprofit sectors

• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

The Role

As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the financial strategy and operations of LTM, ensuring robust financial management, governance, and performance. This is a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting directly to the Director and attending all Board meetings. You will also deputise for the Director when required.

This role goes beyond traditional finance leadership. You will be a moderniser—driving transformation, leading negotiations, overseeing broader business support functions, and contribute to LTM50, including capital programme oversight. You will be the face of financial and business systems at LTM, helping to deliver a future-fit museum aligned with our strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of LTM’s overall budget, ensuring financial sustainability across short, medium, and long-term goals
• Oversee all aspects of financial control, governance, reporting, and compliance with statutory, charity, and TfL requirements
• Deliver timely and accurate statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
• Lead business support functions and liaise with TfL departments including HR, Procurement, Reward, Tech and Data and Finance
• Provide strategic financial advice to the Board of Trustees, SLT, and wider teams
• Represent LTM in financial negotiations with external partners and suppliers
• Champion a high-performing, inclusive finance team—setting clear goals, recognising success, and modelling LTM’s values
• Collaborate closely with TfL Finance to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Ensure all financial and legal obligations are met and policies are up to date and followed

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record in senior finance leadership roles within complex organisations, and will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience at Board level and ability to work in collaboration with Trustees and colleagues;
• Understanding and experience of strategic risk management, finance audit and internal controls;
• Broad operational knowledge including digital transformation, estates, and HR;
• Experience navigating challenging financial climates and driving efficiencies.

Key tasks

Finance

• Manage day to day finances using Xero, ensuring payments are made as scheduled
• Perform all day-to-day bookkeeping duties using Xero and Excel
• Maintain all necessary accounting records including invoices, expenses, payments and transactions
• Ensure payments are made as scheduled and processed through the bank
• Review and maintain supplier records, (including subscriptions, memberships, insurance etc.) 
• Maintain accurate financial information regarding donations and grants, including sources of donations and Gift Aid
• Assist with Annual Reports and Accounts process and with annual audit process

Systems administration

• Act as main point of contact for our IT support provider and main systems administrator on our databases (Beacon) and project management tool – no prior experience of these systems is required but you must have a willingness to learn.
• Act as GDPR officer, ensuring data retention and GDPR compliance across the organisation.
• Maintain and update records and processes on project management software.
• Maintain an effective filing and data management system for the organisation across Microsoft SharePoint
• Induct and train staff on new systems and processes.

HR support

• Coordinate the recruitment and induction of staff and contractors.
• Maintain Rosa’s staff handbook, ensuring agreed changes are implemented.
• Lead on Health and Safety compliance across the organisation
• Assist in the policy development and policy review schedule.

Governance support

• Service quarterly Board of Trustee meetings, including collating and formatting of papers
• Maintain accurate Trustee records
• Manage information relating to the Charity, including legal documentation required by external bodies

Grant Administration support

• Process funding awards, including processing payments
• Updating and reconciling grants database with financial management system and 360 giving data
• Undertake regular database cleaning ensuring data is stored correctly.

Philanthropy and Partnerships support

• Assist in the organisation of events
• Support in the transition to a new fundraising database
• Support the recording and reconciliation of donations on the fundraising database, ensuring records are maintained and up to date

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.

Job Purpose:

The Family Advocate will provide trauma-informed specialist support to women in the community and in prison who are at risk of losing custody of their children/have already experienced child removal. This role will also upskill colleagues, and work with Children’s Social Care teams to improve the response to women impacted by the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibility Areas 

1.      Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with the criminal justice system, who are at risk of experiencing/have experienced child removal. 

2.      Provide expert advice and support to colleagues, including upskilling through information and training sessions on Children’s Social Care and family court processes, and increase Children's Social Care teams' knowledge and understanding on women in the criminal justice system.   

3.      Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as Children’s Social Care, probation, prison, to ensure a collaborative approach to women’s needs. 

4.      Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.

We are seeking a Wellbeing Worker to join our team in Leeds. This is a full time position which is community-based offering assessments, support, information, advice, and guidance to sensory impaired people living in Leeds.

As part of the role you will:

• Do strengths-based assessments, support plans and risk assessments with service users including and where appropriate their carers/family members.
• To work in the community which includes a person’s home when needed.
• To undertake risk assessments and report safeguarding concerns without delay in accordance with BID’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic fundraising team where you will be personally responsible for managing a portfolio of individual relationships. About You

We are seeking a meticulous and organised copyeditor to uphold editorial excellence and to excel in project management for meeting tight deadlines.

As part of Publishing Services it is essential that you are experienced in leading the editing process: overseeing editorial quality, shaping compelling content across digital and print outputs, ensuring adherence to house style and tone of voice, while inputting to design concepts.

You will be a versatile copyeditor with a meticulous eye for detail, demonstrating excellent editorial and project management skills. As an effective planner you will manage the work of an Assistant Editor and freelance editors to ensure delivery of high-quality products, on time and budget.

LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Birmingham & West Midlands.

Full-time 37 hours per week.

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a full-time LGBT IDVA covering Birmingham and the West Midlands to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.

We recognise the importance and advantages of diverse workplaces and communities, and we acknowledge under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian and global majority people; people with a Romany or Irish Traveller background, and people with lived experience of migration. Salary: £27,506 per year, plus up to 5% matched pension contributions.

Main Duties

 ·Provide independent advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·Work with survivors from the point of crisis and offer intensive support to help ensure short-term and long-term safety.

·Maintain multi-agency links and partnerships through protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors of domestic violence.

·Empower service users by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, empowering them to make decisions and increasing their life options.

·Inform survivors of full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

Casework Management

·To advise and support LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·To undertake advocacy casework, working with survivors following an initial assessment of their needs, working within a structured key-working relationship.

·To provide one-to-one-emotional, practical, legal and advocacy support to survivors through the development of an individual support plan, including risk assessments, safety planning and assistance in accessing other relevant services such as the police, counselling, housing, and legal services.

·To support LGBT survivors of domestic violence who are going through the criminal justice system.

·To develop and maintain good working relationships and links with other agencies, referring service users to appropriate specialist agencies where necessary as part of a support plan and in consultation with them.

·To ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to in line with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and are brought to the immediate attention of the line manager.

·To deliver training on LGBT domestic violence.

·To work within Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Information Management

·To participate in the collection and maintenance of information on relevant referral agencies and local services.

·To ensure high quality and effective statistical monitoring is undertaken at all times in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To produce monitoring reports as requested by the Office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.

·To maintain accurate, confidential service-user records of contact details and interventions, ensuring that personal information is up-to-date and that it is kept secure and confidential at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To ensure that feedback from service users and agencies is actively sought to inform the continuous improvement and development of the service.

Professional Development and Training

·To keep up-to-date with developments in legislation, policy and local and national government initiatives that address domestic violence.

·To attend and prepare for regular meetings with the line manager and to participate in individual appraisals in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

·To attend internal or external training events, meetings or forums, as requested by the line manager and in line with the post-holder’s professional development plan.

·To attend regular team meetings.

·To carry out other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required by the line manager.

·To support colleagues with general duties at the Birmingham LGBT Centre.

ABOUT THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR

CDMT is the industry body for world-class professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations in the performing arts, and we are a strong advocate on behalf of the sector.

The Director of the CDMT plays a strategic role in performing arts training, education and assessment nationally and manages the staff and resources of an organisation of UK-wide standing. The CDMT is financed primarily by membership subscriptions. As this source of income is restricted, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a strategic business sense and a successful income-driven record that will enable the CDMT to create, diversify and take full advantage of developing opportunities.

The Director must be able to liaise effectively with all sectors of the dance, drama, music and musical theatre education communities.  They will have wide knowledge and experience of arts education at all stages of development from entry level, through Further/Higher Education to post-graduate level, and will also require an understanding of qualification frameworks in the UK. Knowledge and experience of inspection and self-assessment mechanisms similar to those operated by the Office for Students, Ofsted and Ofqual, is desirable.

The role includes advocacy on behalf of the sector and requires an ability to offer support and advice to professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations as well as informing the thinking of regulators, civil servants and parliamentarians. This demands a high level of tact, diplomacy, professional understanding and tenacity as well as intellectual rigour and integrity.

This is a time of change and challenge for the performing arts education community.  The post of Director of the CDMT requires a talented, ambitious and self-driven professional able to offer and energetically deliver an exciting vision for the company’s future, and manage the journey required to successfully achieve it.
