Main Purpose of Job: The HR Communications Manager will act as the HR Public Relations & Events Manager, and it will lead ADC Volunteer-focused communication initiatives by crafting compelling narratives to drive volunteer engagement and bring HR initiatives to life across internal channels

Tai Impact

Digital Communications & Social Media Volunteer

Role Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Manager and Digital Communications Volunteer to join our dynamic team for 6 weeks. Your main work will be managing Tai Animation Studios and Animation Tanzania Social media platforms content including The Animation Tanzania Film Festival scheduled on 31st October 2024.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, digital marketing, and social media management within the creative media and animation industry.

Key Responsibilities are as follow:

-Content Creation: Develop engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok. -Write copies that resonate with the audience. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for content and campaigns. -Assist in promoting campaigns and initiatives related to The Animation Tanzania Film Festival.

Moreover, in Africa, there is a significant digital divide—men generally have greater access to technology and digital skills compared to women. As AI becomes more prevalent, these gaps are not only persisting but potentially widening. AI can exacerbate the digital divide if women lack access to the latest technology and digital training. Additionally, this divide can further entrench the gender pay gap, as those with advanced digital skills are often better positioned for higher-paying roles. Content Manager (Blogs & Newsletters)

Role Description

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and publish blog posts related to HR, digital skills, and AI automation.
• Curate and manage the weekly newsletter.
• Ensure content aligns with the overall brand strategy and voice.
• Collaborate with the social media manager to promote content on various platforms.

Skills Needed:

• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with email marketing tools like MailChimp
• Ability to work with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
