Key tasks

Role Summary.
Site managers are responsible for establishing partnerships with University Muslim Student Associations (MSAs) and Islamic Societies (ISocs), and maintaining positive relationships with these sites.
Key tasks

Actively establish and maintain positive relationships with the MSA/ISoc committees and Student Ambassadors to ensure an exceptional onsite experience for students and promote retention of sites

Be responsible for overseeing all onsite logistics through liaison with the Student Ambassador to ensure that onsite logistics including advertising of the class and other required tasks are taken care of by the MSA/ISoc

Be the point of contact for ISocs: answer questions from the MSA/ ISoc committees and Student Ambassadors to the best of your ability and engage them on a 1-1 basis, listen to their needs and concerns and addressing these accordingly

Collect ideas and best-practices from how different MSAs/ISocs are delivering their class

Participate in onboarding current and new sites prior to the start of the academic year

Be the point of contact internally for any queries or updates related to assigned MSAs/ISocs

Regularly brainstorm with MSA/ISoc committees to identify ways Roots can better serve their specific needs, support their goals, and strengthen collaboration.

Your role is to support our instructors by regularly observing lessons, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging their continued growth and development.
Your input will help ensure that students benefit from lessons that are clear, engaging, and rooted in sound educational practice.
Key tasks
· Observe lessons via site visits or submitted video recordings throughout the semester.
· Use standardised forms to assess lesson quality and highlight key strengths and areas that could be improved.
· Offer honest and practical feedback, using real examples to guide instructors toward better practice.
· Work alongside Regional Leads to deliver feedback at set points in the semester and support instructor development conversations.
· Attend feedback meetings and take notes to track progress and follow-up actions.
· Recommend helpful activities for instructors, such as shadowing experienced colleagues, team teaching, or reviewing their own lessons.
· Keep track of instructors needing additional support by scheduling follow-up visits or reviewing new lesson recordings.

Ideal candidates will assist Quilombo UK in preparing funding bids that contribute to their further development. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to sports clubs, sporting venues and facilities and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a sporting world without barriers.
What you’ll be doing
1. Talks to sports and physical activity providers to support and encourage them to consider the needs of blind and partially sighted people by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local leisure centres, sporting venues and sports clubs.
2. Delivering talks to raise awareness of existing sporting and physical activity opportunities for blind and partially sighted people.
3. Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service.

We are looking for a person willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our Board. You do not need previous governance experience – we will provide a full induction and training.
You'll be a finance professional with experience of bookkeeping standards, financial controls and processes, annual accounts production, budgeting and cash flow forecasting. A clear communicator with the ability to bring the financial information alive to non finance specialists.
You will also be willing to play an active role in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, liaising with auditors.You'll have the skills to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences and a willingness to be available to give financial advice and answer enquiries from any staff or volunteers on an ad hoc basis.

This is a physical role as you’ll be on your feet a lot and you must be comfortable with some heavy lifting and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.

Food banks provide essential community services to people in crisis. By volunteering as a warehouse assistant, you can make a real difference to people’s lives providing vital help and support locally. This role is an essential part of how Brent foodbank operates and without it we would not be able to run all of our weekly sessions.
What you will be doing
- Fulfilling the replenishment requests from our Foodbank shop
- Lifting cardboard and plastic crates in and out of the van in line with current manual handling guidelines
- Keeping warehouse area clean and tidy at all times, ensuring relevant materials are recycled
- Following Health and Safety guidance, manual handling training and the other policies and procedures related to the running of the warehouse
- Undertaking any other duties that may be reasonably expected to fulfil the role
- If applicable, and interested, becoming one of our van drivers (optional)

Are you passionate about video production and looking to gain hands-on experience? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Video Production Team at Quilombo UK!
With our annual Solta O Jogo coming up on the 17th (rehearsal), 18th and 19th of October, we’re looking to build a reliable and creative crew to help film this live broadcast and to collaborate on many exciting opportunities to come. We've previously filmed documentaries, podcasts and informative videos for the Kingston Council, and we're continuing to grow our media work.

This role is especially well-suited for recent graduates or anyone looking to dust off the cobwebs and re-enter the industry, however, everyone is welcome to apply no matter your level of experience - we’re all about building confidence and developing skills within our team!

Role Overview:
As part of the Video Production Team, you’ll support the development of video content from concept to delivery.
As a Sound Trainee, you’ll work alongside a diverse team of creatives to assist and learn from the Sound Engineer to create clear, emotive audio for a wide range of audiences, making them feel like they have a front row seat at our events!
Ideal for entry-level sound team members who want to engage in learning about the department.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with setting up microphones and sound equipment

Operate the boom mic during rehearsals, live recordings and shoots

Take notes from the Sound Engineer on audio quality to support post-production

Sort and organise sound equipment before, during and after shoots

Perform general runner tasks when needed from the sound engineer

Support the Sound Engineer during the shoot and help troubleshoot minor issues

Experience: Some exposure with a least 6-12 months of experience with sound equipment (desirable)
