We are seeking a Director who will bring energy, vision, and ambition to lead St Martin-in-the-Fields Trust into its next chapter. You will be an accomplished high-value fundraiser with experience in engaging high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations at the highest level. Strategic yet hands-on, you’ll thrive on being out in front: opening doors, forging connections, and stewarding donors with imagination and care.

• Provide one-to-one advocacy for around 35 women annually across 11 London boroughs.

Edward Alsop court provides support and accommodation for up to 50 men over 50's with complex needs. These needs may be around health, mobility, alcohol use, or mental health. This customer group will be catered for, with breakfast and dinner which is provided on the premises. There are also 29 self catering bed spaces for men over 35 who have low support needs and require support in order to prepare for independent living.

The service also offers specialist support to homeless men across a range of areas including re-offending behaviour, mental health issues, and substance misuse.

EAC implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

You will provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. The PR & Media team raises awareness of who we are, what we do, and the impact Marie Curie has through local and national broadcast, print and online media. This team also looks after our work with high profile supporters and celebrity ambassadors. 

The National PR Lead is responsible for the successful delivery of Public Relations and Media strategies to support a designated portfolio of work. You will play a vital role in leading priority PR workstreams. Your expertise will ensure we use the most effective PR tactics to meet team and organisational goals. 

You will be responsible for:   

• Delivering PR and media strategies for specific portfolios, leading priority workstreams, and ensuring effective tactics to meet campaign and organisational goals.  

• Leading PR strategy development, execution, and evaluation to increase brand recognition and media reach; managing campaign objectives and sharing insights for continuous improvement. 

• Identifying, training, and briefing spokespeople including senior staff. 

• Managing reactive news and news desk functions to stay ahead of media agendas. 

• Maintaining strong media relationships, ensuring consistent key message delivery, and advising on reputational risks and issues. 

• Line management and team leadership for two National Media & PR Officers. 

Key Criteria: 

• Established experience in a similar PR position, managing a news desk or a press office.   

• Experience working in a large complex environment, ideally in the charity sector.  

• Excellent understanding of national consumer media (tv, printed, online, podcasts etc) 

• Line management experience and the ability to lead teams  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders of all levels.  

• Ability to work unsociable hours.

About the Role

You will:

• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
• You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.
