Sands offers support to anyone affected by the death of a baby.
Our volunteers are incredible! They run peer support, community-based activity, build relationships with hospitals, run football teams, cheer at events and much more. Putting them first and enabling the activity they deliver is the primary goal of the Community and Volunteering Team.
Local peer-led bereavement support is a core part of what we do here at Sands. This is primarily delivered by Support Groups and Sands United football teams run by dedicated volunteers right across the UK, most of whom are bereaved themselves. There are 84 Groups and 40 Sands United team across the UK who provide safe and welcoming spaces to be there for each other.
This is a high-profile and exciting new role which is responsible for ensuring that anyone affected by baby loss or the death of a baby has the chance to access Sands peer led activities in Wales, promoting sport and activities for health, wellbeing and support services and groups, ensuring that all sections of the community are aware of available activities and where they can go to be part of the community.
We are looking for successful, demonstrable experience of working with minoritised communities and a good working understanding of the barriers people experience accessing bereavement support and care in statutory, health and community settings.
With experience of coordinating volunteering programmes on a regional or national basis, you will be passionate and knowledgeable about the potential for volunteering within the charity sector.
You will have excellent communication skills suitable for a range of different audiences and environments, with significant experience of volunteer management and relationship building.
Additionally, you will have experience of working with marginalised communities together with an understanding of the barriers to accessing bereavement support that these communities encounter.

About the role
Reporting in to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the Finance Manager will proactively develop and manage key business and finance systems and processes within the MCC Hub that effectively supports the Multi Country Cluster (MCC) business model.
Some of the main areas of responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
- Ensure that procedures are followed, and standards are met from MCC programme teams and that there is consistency across the MCC Hub in terms of operations and business and financial controls, checks and balances meeting organisational values and goals.
- Manage the MCC Hub finance officers creating an environment of continuous learning, motivating the team to align with organisational values and goals.
- Ensure systems support the agreed corporate strategies and the MCC programmes core business delivers high quality impact and consistency.
- Lead the annual budgeting process within the MCC programme and professionally supervise specific finance, HR and administration staff within MCC Hub.
- Contribute to, and where appropriate lead on, cross-programme tasks related to the area of work proactively identifying opportunities to drive meaningful change.
- To improve the capacity of Christian Aid programme staff to understand and uphold both Christian Aid's and institutional donors' financial policies and procedures and proactively manage contracts and risk within the project and programme.
- In collaboration with other colleagues ensure budgets are prepared and monitored for partners and relevant institutional donor funded programmes.
- Responsibility for managing key internal and external relationships with auditors, legal providers, consultants among others.
- Liaison on financial matters across MCC Hub ensuring consistency and accuracy is maintained.
- Monitoring and analyses of all financial areas of the MCC programme at regular intervals and presented; this includes providing programme financial reports to the Finance department in London with a detailed commentary indicating areas of variance and concern.

- Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken)

- Proficiency with financial management systems (e.g. SunSystems) and advanced Excel skills

About the role
Breast Cancer Now is looking for a digital product operations manager to ensure our digital platforms remain robust, secure and high performing, enabling us to deliver excellent user experiences to everyone who needs our support.
You’ll play a pivotal role in our digital product operations, overseeing the health and performance of our main website (built on Umbraco CMS) and supporting other digital platforms where needed. Working closely with our managed service providers for hosting and infrastructure, you’ll manage updates, coordinate technical improvements and maintain compliance. Your work will be critical in building strong, reliable foundations for our digital strategy.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with communities and a passion for delivering climate solutions which improve people’s lives. Do you enjoy working with diverse groups of people to help deliver projects which work for them? Are you excited to work with communities to unblock delivery of innovative local clean energy and heat projects that cut emissions and energy poverty, and empower communities to take control of their energy and heat provision? As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with local communities and expert research partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites in England, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand.
- Contract: 16 months at 4.5 days per week (or a nine-day fortnight if preferred). We are not accepting applications for job shares for this role. While we would like to extend the contract beyond 16 months, as this is a grant-funded role, we cannot currently offer this.

One of the Foundation’s Senior Grants Managers is going on maternity leave and so they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants Manager to join their small, dynamic team.
The Senior Grants Manager will cover a diverse portfolio of charities across the Foundation’s key funding areas, with a focus on health (including mental health) and the UK Jewish community. Supporting grantees over a multi-year journey to helping them achieve their goals, the Senior Grants Manager will need to be an excellent relationship-builder, with a strong knowledge of philanthropy, and a dedication to enhancing impact through effective grant-making.
Key responsibilities
- Grant Management & Compliance: Oversee all stages of the grant lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Foundation guidelines, values, and objectives.
- Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with grantees, charities, and non-profit organisations, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor grantee outcomes, assess programme effectiveness, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and board members, highlighting impact and progress.
The Senior Grants Manager will have at least 5 years’ experience in grant management, preferably within a philanthropic private foundation, carrying out grant assessments and grant reports. The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills and strong experience of working with a grant management database (The Bloom Foundation uses Blackbaud). You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically, connecting the dots across a grantee’s organisational journey. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player. You will be interested in and committed to contributing to the overall success of a small and highly motivated organisation with a versatile and flexible approach and a “can do” attitude.
The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal, with 4 days from the office / 1 day from home hybrid policy.
