The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, but ambitious grassroots charity run by and for women seeking asylum. WAST has a proud track record of providing a safe space for women to come together in solidarity and campaign for justice in an increasingly hostile environment.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to play a key role in developing and delivering WAST’s women-led programmes. You will work closely with the staff team, management group (elected by members to define WAST’s priorities and organise activities), and our wider membership to ensure that projects reflect the needs and aspirations of the women who use WAST. WAST’s current priorities include delivering wellbeing activities (with a focus on trauma-informed approaches), running asylum information workshops, and strengthening our campaigning group. As Project Coordinator, you will help develop and manage initiatives that support these priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, collaborative, and passionate about supporting women seeking asylum to shape and lead the projects and initiatives they value. 

About WAST

Women Asylum Seekers Together (WAST) is a grassroots Manchester-based charity led by and for women who are seeking asylum and currently has around 170 members. WAST was founded in 2005 by one of WAST’s current board members, whilst fighting her own anti-deportation campaign, and became a constituted charity in 2014.

We provide a safe, supportive space where women can come together to build community, gain confidence, access peer support, and advocate for their rights. Women are at the sharp end of the ‘hostile environment’ with punitive government immigration policies and practice. WAST enables a process of empowerment through which women gain the confidence and strength to voice their experience and campaign for justice.

WAST is a place of hope and belonging with its core values of compassion, respect, inclusion and empowerment and its continuous development of its trauma informed peer support approach. WAST is proud of its pioneering work giving a voice to women seeking asylum and inspiring other women around the country to set up similar groups. WAST has been at the forefront of national campaigning against detention, has published three books and created two plays, giving voice to women’s experiences.

WAST runs weekly skill-building and wellbeing activities, a weekly drop-in session where women can access signposting and referrals to services, and a variety of external events throughout the year. Activities are identified and led by the WAST Management Group, elected by the membership and supported by WAST staff. WAST’s current priorities, as identified by the management group, include developing asylum information workshops, a range of wellbeing trauma informed activities, and advancing the campaign group.

About Strength & Stem

Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. We achieve our vision by offering an evidence-based, holistic programme. It incorporates tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. We run a nine-month programme each year, as well as alumni events and social cafes. The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programme create a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community.  

Role summary

The Programme Coordinator plays a key operational role at the heart of Strength & Stem, ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and events. This includes coordinating a series of 12 weekly floristry and skills workshops, supporting the mentoring scheme, and organising independent events such as our annual graduation celebration, alumni gatherings and ad-hoc floristry workshops.

The role combines logistics, participant engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and communications across all areas of delivery. It is varied and dynamic — balancing hands-on support during programme delivery with significant behind-the-scenes coordination, administration and reporting.

It’s ideal for someone who enjoys managing details, keeping systems organised, and ensuring everything runs smoothly while contributing to meaningful impact for women rebuilding their lives after modern slavery.

What the job involves

Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.

Your responsibilities will span the full event cycle; from setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to building supporter communications, managing event logistics, providing on-the-day support, and overseeing remittance and thanking — ensuring we maximise income and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.

Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events. Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us long after they cross the finish line.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a dedicated person to join our established, experienced and high-performing Events and Community Fundraising team, that has ambitious plans to grow income to £16M+ by 2030. You’ll have experience working in a sporting events team with a background of assisting or leading with the delivery of large-scale events, covering aspects such as marketing, communications and event delivery. Strong organisational skills will be combined with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.

Bexley Deaf Centre (BDC) is a small and dynamic, well-established charity which has been serving the borough since 1994. Our work is focussed exclusively on supporting people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We work to raise awareness, break down barriers and promote understanding within the community.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation; we are about to launch an ambitious new 5-year strategy (supported by our fundraising strategy) and are actively expanding and developing the support and services that we provide. 

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Fundraising Coordinator who can lead on our fundraising initiatives, support with the development of new projects and organisational change to facilitate the growth of our services.

This exciting fundraising role will include:

·       Assisting with developing and implementing fundraising strategies to enable us to diversify our funding streams

· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects, developing proposals, establishing timelines and budgets

· Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify areas for growth and increasing capacity

· Support the growth of the organisation and change required to deliver our fundraising strategy 

Experience of working with Deaf people or knowledge of the Deaf community would be an advantage but not essential.

Prior experience in social prescribing, project coordination, or health and wellbeing initiatives will be especially valued.

The Role

What will I be doing?

As Accreditation Coordinator you will part of the Membership and Inclusion team. The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality and standards. We are looking for an organised, resilient individual who can work without close supervision.

Duties include:

• Organising degree accreditation visits, accreditation events, and committee meetings
• Responding to a wide range of enquiries from internation and external contacts
• Conducting initial reviews of degree accreditation applications

Projects you work on may include:

• Development and delivery of assessor training
• Supporting the development of a course endorsement scheme
• Assisting with the enhancement of doctoral training accreditation

Befriending Coordinator x1

Age UK Croydon have an established befriending service providing one-to-one befriending for older people in their home. We are now launching a new and exciting Gift of Friendship (GoF) Programme to run alongside this existing face to face and telephone befriending service

The GoF programme will offer a new additional person-centred companionship service where volunteers and older people are matched to reduce loneliness and isolation together.  The service is person centred and dependent on the goals of the individual which could include, going for a walk, going shopping, attending activities or helping an older person to build or regain confidence in going out and about and developing more social connections. 

We are looking for excellent people skills, a strong initiative, and effective communications, including an ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers, and undertake matching in an astute and sensitive manner. You will also need excellent administration skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

The digital world is all around us, yet many residents are being left behind. Around one in twenty adults has never used the internet, and many more struggle with access, skills, or confidence. This digital divide affects employment, healthcare, social connection, and other areas that directly impact quality of life. Bexley Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) is looking for an organised and enthusiastic Volunteer Coordinator to lead our growing Digital Champions project. You’ll recruit, train, and support a network of volunteer Digital Champions who help residents gain the confidence and skills to use technology in their everyday lives.

From sending an email or applying for a Blue Badge to accessing online GP services — your work will help make sure no one in Bexley is left behind as life moves increasingly online.
 

About the role

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will:

· Recruit, train, and support volunteer Digital Champions across Bexley.

· Build partnerships with community groups and local organisations to reach residents who need support.

· Organise regular volunteer meet-ups, training sessions, and peer learning opportunities.

· Monitor and report on project activity and outcomes.

· Promote the Digital Champions network and share its impact locally and beyond.

This is a community-focused coordination role — perfect for someone who loves working with people, supporting volunteers, and building meaningful partnerships. You don’t need to be a tech expert — just confident using digital tools and enthusiastic about helping others learn.

Community Fundraising Lead

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Community Fundraising Lead to engage individuals, schools, and community groups across the East of England, maximising income generation and supporting the hospitals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Position: Community Fundraising Lead

Location: Cambridge / Hybrid (minimum two days per week in the office)
Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

As the Community Fundraising Lead, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering our community fundraising strategy with a particular focus on schools, community groups, and challenge events across six counties (Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire). You’ll build meaningful relationships, inspire local supporters, and help drive forward exciting campaigns including fundraising for a new cancer hospital and a new children’s hospital.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to identify new opportunities for engagement.
• Represent the organisation at events and within local communities across the East of England.
• Monitor income, evaluate activities, and report on progress against targets.
• Act as an ambassador promoting the benefits and impact of fundraising.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in community fundraising within a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
• Strong relationship-building skills with a range of supporters and stakeholders.
• Experience of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Strong communication skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (travel across the East of England is required).
