About the team

The media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media activity, engaging with journalists to support WaterAid’s mass engagement, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing. 

As our Senior PR Manager, you will lead the public relations function for WaterAid and work closely with the three senior media officers you manage, to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Lead on developing and delivering innovative integrated, digital first PR campaigns that achieve impactful national, international, local and digital coverage, to support our fundraising and public engagement activities, build WaterAid’s profile, and align with wider organisational aims 

• Manage our media around our high-profile strategic partnerships to deliver media projects that meet shared objectives and help our partners become influencers in their sector to drive change 

• Work with the Celebrity and Influencer team to develop effective ways to work with high-profile supporters to build awareness of WaterAid and our work 

• Act as a media spokesperson for WaterAid as required, briefing journalists on and off the record and giving media interviews where necessary 

• Provide professional advice and support to colleagues in the UK, including our Chief Executive and within the WaterAid federation involved in media relations work, and identify opportunities to coordinate media moments across the organisation 

• Manage reputational issues where appropriate in coordination with the Head of Media 

• Write and edit copy as required for print and web outlets 

• Monitor and evaluate coverage and the wider impacts of our media work to guide future strategies 
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and broadcasters including the planning and managing of trips to country programmes with journalists, celebrities or for content gathering 

• Join the 24/7 on-call rota and be prepared for travel in the UK and overseas - usually around two weeks per year - as well as some work outside normal office hours, as necessary 

• Undertake any other responsibilities, tasks or activities as reasonably required, including deputising for the Head of Media

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience of leading, managing and motivating others and driving change 

• Considerable proven experience of working in an in-house media team or PR agency 

• Proven experience of creating and delivering effective and innovative integrated, multi-channel media campaigns with digital media at their core 

• Proven experience of liaising with journalists of all levels especially national and consumer media 

• Experience of utilising digital and social media to deliver PR objectives and aligning media work with owned, shared and paid activities 

• Proven ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure 

• Proven ability to organise, coordinate and evaluate successful projects 

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others 

• Excellent verbal communication skills 

• Excellent command of written English to produce written media work of high quality 

• Ability to forge effective working relationships within the team, wider comms department and with colleagues from across the organisation as well as external stakeholders 

• Commitment to personal learning, development and improvement in pursuit of own objectives and those of the team and organisation

• Experience of international development issues and/or working in the voluntary sector in a communications role

Our Services Development team are responsible for: UK-wide service development and experience design, community development, volunteering development

As a fixed term contracted role for 12 months, our Director of Services Development will be focusing on:

• embedding our new Services Development team.
• working with our Income Generation colleagues to establish processes and accountabilities for a business development pipeline.

The BACCH Education and Training Administrator is a newly created role supporting the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH), a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. This role will take the lead on setting up and delivering educational courses and events for clinicians working in Community Child Health, including webinars, regional events, and the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting.

Reporting to the BACCH Executive Officer, you will coordinate the development of a structured education and training offer, manage logistics for online and in-person courses, and support initiatives such as trainee-led learning and paid short courses. You will also support BACCH’s six affiliated specialist groups with administrative and event coordination as needed.

The role requires a highly organised and self-motivated individual with experience in event planning, digital platforms, and administrative systems. You’ll also maintain contact databases, filing systems, and internal procedures, while providing occasional cover for the wider team.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting educational events or working in professional membership organisations, along with strong communication, planning and IT skills. A background in healthcare, training, or children’s services and knowledge of website or budget management is desirable

The BACCH is the organisation for paediatricians and other professions working in community child health. BACCH is a membership organisation that represents doctors and other professionals working in paediatrics and child health in the community. This is a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Chief Executive and Board with organisational development, risk oversight, and the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centred services.

This executive leadership role shapes the strategic direction of Emerging Futures, overseeing HR, Quality, Safeguarding, and Performance functions. It drives organisational strategy across people, culture, innovation, and service delivery, ensuring alignment with the charity’s values and sector trends in substance misuse and homelessness.

Key responsibilities include leading HR strategy—covering recruitment, workforce development, staff wellbeing, inclusion, and compliance—and overseeing quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding to ensure robust risk management and continuous improvement.

The role also leads the development of outcome measurement frameworks, promotes data-driven decision-making, and collaborates with operational leaders to support service innovation and performance. This role is home based, however as you are leading remote teams across the country, very regular travel to EF sites/offices will be required.

About you

You will have proven senior leadership experience in HR (ideally at Head of HR or Director level) in the voluntary, housing, health, or social care sector. You should also have:

• Level 7 CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or equivalent, plus relevant experience
• Strategic understanding of workforce, service delivery, and governance issues in substance use, homelessness, or complex needs sectors
• Demonstrated success in embedding quality and assurance frameworks across complex, dispersed services.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, risk management, and performance improvement frameworks.
• Track record of driving organisational culture change and operational excellence.

The Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) is dedicated to protecting orangutans, their forests, and their future. Together with our local partners in Sumatra, we’re protecting vital ecosystems and creating resilient landscapes where orangutans – and people – can thrive.

We’re looking for an experienced and creative fundraiser to lead our individual giving and supporter engagement programmes, grow our supporter base, and champion innovation in public engagement and income generation. You’ll be rallying resources which will ultimately help us grow our impact for wild orangutans and the people living alongside them.

The Role

As Head of Individual Giving & Supporter Engagement, you’ll lead the strategic development and delivery of SOS’s public fundraising portfolio – inspiring individuals around the world to take action and give generously for the future of Sumatra’s rainforests and wildlife.

You’ll be responsible for individual giving, digital acquisition and retention, legacies, appeals and campaigns, and supporter events. You’ll be given the freedom to innovate, identifying and developing new income streams and engagement products and approaches that help us reach and inspire new audiences.

The Head of Fundraising will lead all fundraising activities, overseeing the full spectrum of income generation to support our mission of empowering young people through football and education. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead on fundraising for an organisation which has barely scratched the surface of the fundraising landscape. Fundraising Coordinator

Bexley Deaf Centre (BDC) is a small and dynamic, well-established charity which has been serving the borough since 1994. Our work is focussed exclusively on supporting people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We work to raise awareness, break down barriers and promote understanding within the community.

This is an exciting time to join our organisation; we are about to launch an ambitious new 5-year strategy (supported by our fundraising strategy) and are actively expanding and developing the support and services that we provide. 

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Fundraising Coordinator who can lead on our fundraising initiatives, support with the development of new projects and organisational change to facilitate the growth of our services.
