We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Community Prevention and Programmes Manager to lead and develop this important area of our work. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a growing portfolio of community programmes that help create safer, healthier and more resilient communities across Lincolnshire.
Working with volunteers, community groups, partners and funders, you will lead programmes that deliver lifesaving skills training, support community resilience and help prevent illness and injury. You will play a key role in turning ideas into practical action and ensuring our programmes deliver meaningful and measurable impact.
What you'll be doing
You will lead the day-to-day delivery and development of our community education and prevention programmes, including initiatives focused on lifesaving skills, public safety, health improvement and early intervention.
A significant part of the role will involve recruiting, supporting and developing our network of Community Champion volunteers, helping them deliver high-quality community education and engagement activities with confidence and consistency.
You will build strong relationships with schools, workplaces, community groups, local organisations and other partners to expand the reach and impact of our programmes. You'll also lead funded projects, ensuring they are delivered effectively, achieve agreed outcomes and provide clear evidence of impact for funders and stakeholders.
Alongside programme delivery, you will identify opportunities for growth, contribute to funding applications, support the development of new initiatives and help shape the future direction of community prevention work within LIVES.
About you
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational and project management skills with a genuine passion for working with communities.
You will have experience of coordinating, delivering or managing community-based projects, programmes or services, along with experience of engaging communities, building partnerships and supporting volunteers. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, monitoring outcomes and demonstrating impact, while maintaining a practical and solutions-focused approach.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with a wide range of people, and motivated by the opportunity to help communities become safer, healthier and more confident.
Experience within the charity, healthcare, public health, education, emergency response or community development sectors would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in people who can demonstrate transferable skills and a commitment to our mission.

About MediCinema
MediCinema is a unique national, UK registered charity that improves the wellbeing and enriches the quality of life of NHS patients, their families and carers through the power of the shared cinema experience and the magic of film. We achieve this by building and running cinemas in hospitals and places of care equipped with space for beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and providing free films and activities for patients of all ages. Our services help to improve emotional, mental and physical health, reducing isolation, anxiety and stress, and increasing patient resilience to help them cope with what they’re going through.
The Role
We are looking for a fixed-term maternity-cover Deputy Cinema Manager to join the team at our established MediCinema based in Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, serving paediatric patients in the Royal Hospital for Children, and adult patients from the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The post-holder will work with the Cinema Manager and the team of nurses and volunteers who support our MediCinema, and will work closely with them, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.
We run 4 regular inpatient screenings each week which includes evenings. The post holder will be required to work on a shift pattern to include evenings each week and potentially weekends. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these regular inpatient screenings.
The role offers a unique, exciting and extremely rewarding opportunity for someone interested in a service delivery role at the heart of our charity, involving direct contact with the patients and families we support.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Support the Cinema Manager in delivering a programme of screenings each week as agreed according to the operating procedures of a MediCinema, including running and managing screenings on your own. Most screenings are held in the evenings so the role requires regular evening working.
- On screening days be responsible for:
- Marketing the service through the hospital’s wards, organising collecting and returning patients, and for safety and care in the cinema itself.
- Taking responsibility for health and safety of patients coming to the cinema, and the safety and appearance of the cinema space itself.
- Preparing and operating the digital projection equipment for the screening, ensuring that films are always screened to the highest technical standards. Training and ongoing technical support will be provided for this.
- Ensuring that all operational, welfare and safeguarding policies set out by MediCinema are followed accordingly and that, where appropriate, consent forms are obtained for photographic or filmed records.
- Ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with relevant health and safety legislation, and that areas where MediCinema might be in breach of such are dealt with immediately or brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities for rectification.
- Keeping accurate monitoring and operational records, including contacts and database updating as required
- Help the Cinema Manager collate, analyse and report back on agreed metrics and KPI’s
- Assist with arranging and running any special events and special screenings
- When required, arrange and run additional personal screenings for patients unable to attend regular screenings, plus special tailored screenings with hospital departments and patient groups.
- Support the development and roll out of any new type of screenings we embark on.
- Support the delivery of our ‘Beyond the Big Screen' bedside services, including our Disney ‘Moments that Matter’ work.
Nurse & Volunteer Management
- Help the Cinema Manager build, manage and support the team of nurses and volunteers to assist in the duties outlined above and to ensure that screenings run safely and smoothly – this will include assisting with recruitment and creating monthly rotas.
Marketing and Relationship Management
- Be proactive in marketing the service within the hospital, building relationships with key hospital staff, and working alongside our partner Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who kindly support our paediatric screenings.
- Help develop and manage effective partnerships throughout the hospital and community.
- Representing the organisation effectively and compellingly at all times.
- Support the programming and development of the MediCinema as a centre for entertainment, being pro-active in developing a creative programme of sustainable events at each site. This could include fundraising events, live performance and other relevant activities.
Administration and other duties
- Deputise for the Cinema Manager as and when required.
- Provide holiday or emergency screening cover when required.
- Help manage the collection, loading and returning of films.
- Champion the work of MediCinema within the hospital and cinema environment, as well as confidently and positively representing MediCinema in all interactions and at any meetings and events.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Glasgow MediCinema, operations and MediCinema as a wider organisation
- Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring an inclusive and whole organisation approach
- Undertake other tasks, projects and duties as reasonably required.
MediCinema is a small team and staff members are expected to support each other and share cross-organisational work in addition to fulfilling individual responsibilities.
The Person
We are looking for a high energy, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is passionate about helping people and delivering impactful and effective services. They should be a warm, welcoming and positive person who can demonstrate the following skills and qualities, ideally combined with some experience in a people-facing/community-facing role:
- Strong organisational skills with a good attention to detail.
- A proactive, resourceful, problem-solving approach.
- An ability to work both on their own and as part of a team.
- Experience in using IT and an ability to quickly learn and understand new systems and technology. Please note full training on ingesting films and running the projection equipment will be provided so direct projection experience, while beneficial, is not required.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to caringly and openly relate to and build relationships with a wide variety of people, from children, family members, volunteers and hospital staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability, and enjoyment of a working environment where no two days are the same.
- Demonstrate tact and sensitivity when dealing with people with a variety of needs and be aware of issues relating to confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Interest and evidence of prior experience in healthcare, wellbeing and/or film & cinema.
- A sense of humour and congenial demeanour to help patients and families feel at ease and enjoy their MediCinema experience.

ABOUT SUZY LAMPLUGH TRUST:
The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was established in memory of Suzy Lamplugh, a young estate agent who tragically disappeared while at work in 1986 and was later declared deceased in 1993. Created to honour Suzy’s legacy, the Trust aims to empower individuals and organisations to take a stand against abuse, aggression, and violence in all forms, supporting safety in both personal and professional lives.
Role overview:
This is a new and developing service focused on increasing accessibility to stalking support for underrepresented and marginalised communities across London. The postholder will play a key role in designing, embedding, and delivering this community-based model, working closely with community groups, partners, and volunteers whilst holding a small caseload leading to building trusted pathways into service for communities that may face barriers to accessing traditional support.
The role will oversee two key initiatives:

Community First Responders: Trained volunteers with lived and/or professional experience (including LGBTQ+ communities, racially minoritised groups, victims with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and those with other accessibility needs) who provide face-to-face stalking support and awareness across London.

Community Champions: Staff/volunteers within third-party organisations within the London ecosystem of service providers who are trained to provide first-responder level support within their own communities.
The role builds and manages networks of community champions and first responders while holding a reduced advocacy caseload.
Initially office-based (London) for 3 months to support a meaningful induction, moving to a blended working model (40% office / 60% home).

Villagers Connect Project – a great opportunity to join our team at Action in rural Sussex
Villagers Connect is a community development project which is working to sustain a strong and vibrant community in the villages of Colgate, Faygate and Rusper. It aims to build connections and relationships which increase confidence, independence and empowerment, particularly for the over 65’s.
We are seeking a part-time community development worker to work as part of a small team that is active in this rural location in the Horsham district. This role involves a good deal of community-based activity, engaging with older people and the wider community. This does therefore require someone who is understanding of older people and their interests, abilities and needs.
We champion an asset based approach to community development, which is about building on existing strengths and supporting local people to flourish; undertaking community led projects that create community cohesion and have lasting impact.
Key Objectives
· Support older people to access services and support locally that will meet their needs and improve their quality of life
· Improve the lived experiences for older people in these rural communities
· Build connections and relationships across and within the three parishes to reduce social isolation

The Philharmonia is seeking to appoint a Box Office and CRM Manager to lead the management, development and optimisation of the Orchestra’s CRM strategy, systems and audience experience. The roles focuses on ensuring a seamless customer journey while overseeing the effective operation of the Box Office and the ongoing development of Tessitura.
This is a key role overseeing both the day-to-day operation and strategic development of the Philharmonia’s Box Office and CRM function. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing ticketing and customer strategies that maximise sales income, improve conversion and enhance the audience experience.
As a public facing member of staff, the Box Office and CRM Manager will be a key representative of the Orchestra, ensuring customers receive a welcoming, efficient and accessible service whether booking online, by phone or in person. A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service is therefore essential.
The role will also lead on the effective management and ongoing development of Tessitura, supporting audience insight, segmentation, reporting and customer journeys across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Development, Finance and Concerts, the successful candidate will help ensure that customer data is used effectively to support audience growth, income generation and informed decision-making.
Previous experience of using Tessitura is essential. From hall dressing and campaign set-up to system optimisation, reporting and user support, this role will be one of the Orchestra’s lead Tessitura users. Experience of working within a Tessitura consortium would be advantageous.

About the programme: ABC Parents Programme
The ABC Parents Programme empowers parents from the most deprived wards in Enfield and Haringey to increase their confidence and improve appropriate use of services across health and social care through child health workshops and networks of peer-to-peer support for parents.
The programme is delivered in community venues by a range of staff working in children’s community health services and Child Health Champions. They are supported by multi-agency practitioners from the hospital, primary care and voluntary sectors in Enfield and Haringey.
The programme is delivered in partnership with North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust (NMUH), The Bridge Renewal Trust, Every Parent and Child, Public Health Haringey, NCL CCG and other local multi-sector agencies.
About the role: Child Health Community Champions
The Child Health Champions Lead will recruit and provide ongoing support to a small team of Child Health Community Champions (CHCC). This will include:
· Supporting professional development through carrying out training needs assessments of the CHCCs and identifying appropriate training
· Alongside the Project Coordinator, planning workshops incorporating CHCCs strengths
· Holding regular meetings and quarterly Wellbeing sessions with CHCCs
· Being responsible for the recruitment and deployment of creche workers where required
About you:
You will be an enthusiastic, motivated and caring individual who understands community engagement and has experience of successfully managing a community project and providing group leadership.
The Child Health Champions Lead will be employed by Every Parent & Child and will work as a member of the ABC Parents Program Team based at NMUH.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Engaging Community Champions
· Actively recruit new Child Health Community Champions (CHCC) and support their training.
· Working with the CHCC, identify professional training needs, develop ideas through to delivery.
· Arrange regular meetings with the CHCC to provide support and seek feedback to support monitoring and the impact of their intervention.
· Liaise with the Project Co-ordinator in planning sessions/workshops, working to the strengths of the CHCC. The Child Health Champions Lead will be parent-facing, on-site at community sessions when required.
· To organise quarterly Wellbeing sessions for CHCC.
· To liaise with CHCC to manage their attendance at workshops.
· Regularly provide performance feedback to CHCC, supporting their professional development and maintaining motivation.
2. Development and Delivery of Workshops
· Attend and support all Health and Wellbeing workshops for Community Champions.
· Where appropriate, attend and/or support the workshops run by Community Champions.
· Maintain active communication with Creche workers, professionally responding to queries, and actively engaging in finding solutions to challenges.
· Where appropriate, to support the Project Co-ordinator with setting up the training room and resources, always observing Health and Safety risk to self and others.
· To maintain an accurate record of incidents arising at the workshops and report to the CEO and the ABC Parents Project Co-ordinator.
3. Engaging with Creche Workers
· Identify and recruit Creche workers, maintaining an active bank of workers on account.
· Liaise with Creche workers to ensure their attendance at workshops.
· To receive and verify invoices from Creche workers.
· To provide feedback to the Creche worker, thus ensuring they can respond effectively to the needs of the service.
4. Other Duties
· Complete DBS checks for all CHCC and to maintain accurate records.
· To understand, promote and implement Every Parent & Child’s equality policy, recognising social and cultural diversity in the delivery of services, management of facilities, contract management and staff/volunteer recruitment and management.
· To escalate Child Protection/Safeguarding concerns to the CEO and maintain an accurate record of all escalated concerns.
· To comply with the statutory provisions of all Health and Safety, associated legislations and all Trust policies and procedures, including commitment to ethical and environmentally sustainable practices.
· To be able to work flexible hours to meet service needs, including working some evenings and weekends.
· To work flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
· To undertake training relevant to the post.
· Constructively provide feedback on issues/concerns to the Project Co-ordinator and the CEO of Every Parent & Child.
· Undertake administration duties commensurate with the post.

Lead, plan and deliver a year-round calendar of Fundraising & Challenge Events across the community and corporate employee fundraising.

Focus on recruiting and supporting participants for core flagship challenge events – such as the Royal Park Half, Tough Mudder and Skydives - as well as using the tool Run for Charity to expand our portfolio and community of supporters.
Churches & Schools

Lead, plan and deliver a year-round calendar of events, talks and opportunities for engagement through donations, collections, events & in-kind donations.

Steward key relationships across our church & school network ensuring quick, thoughtful and organised communications

Act as an ambassador (as well as support colleagues across the organisation), to plan and deliver, talks and presentations throughout the year to champion our work and encourage engagement
Partnerships:

Co-steward an existing Corporate portfolio who give through, sponsorships, events/ employee fundraising, challenge events, cause related marketing and donations.

Identify and develop partnerships and sponsorship opportunities with organisations aligned with the charity’s mission

Develop employee engagement and fundraising opportunities with our corporate partners
Strategy:

Plan and deliver a year-round activity plan and fundraising strategy to support and grow a portfolio with a six-figure annual income target across multiple income streams.

Work collaboratively with the fundraising team to secure an organisation-wide forecasted budget of £2+million

Conduct an evaluation after each event, considering its successes, factors which could be improved and any recommendations moving forward.

Person Spec:
We are seeking an energetic, insightful and creative fundraiser who has the confidence to take on a diverse portfolio and will have demonstrable experience at manager level within one or more of these core areas: events, community or corporate fundraising. We are looking for someone who can think strategically whilst also be willing to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and deliver - someone who enjoys building relationships, working collaboratively with their colleagues and volunteers, engaging with supporters and driving activity forward.
Knowledge & Experience
-
Proven experience and demonstrable success in community fundraising at manager level; securing income from a range of fundraising streams and delivering a range of activities.
-
Experience managing complex events delivering six-figure income targets
-
Strong stewarding and relationship management skills under-pinned by values and principle-based fundraising
-
Up to date knowledge of the regulatory regime around fundraising and data protection.
-
Experience of managing budgets including forecasting, monitoring and regular reporting of outcomes against targets.
-
A good understanding of health and safety and risk assessment procedures.
-
Experience of coordinating and working with volunteers.
-
Confident use of CRM systems and supporter databases and fundraising platforms such as Just Giving.

Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally, for example at evenings and weekends

Competent IT skills in standard Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook and supporter databases to maintain meticulous donor records and administration systems, in line with agreed protocols.
