A daily lunch service is at the heart of our day-centre delivery for young people experiencing homelessness. For many of our young people, lunch is their only hot, nutritious meal of the day. We are looking for a passionate Chef to work independently in our kitchen to deliver a daily meal for up to 100 young people, staff and volunteers. You will have responsibility for planning, preparing and serving food that makes a real difference to people's lives. You will need to have experience of catering to large numbers and managing professional kitchen paperwork, and the drive to maintain high food hygiene standards. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager with drive, intellectual curiosity, and excellent communication skills to join our small but dynamic Programme Management Office (PMO). The Project Manager will co-ordinate delivery of a small portfolio of projects within the Agile framework and will need to overcome challenges, escalate issues and risks and drive momentum. New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. About the role
We require someone who is able to provide a range of business support functions to the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Department (PPC), specifically the reporting and monitoring of grants-funded projects delivered within PPC and the administration of grants out to partners including use of our international programme management system.
The post holder will champion ways of working across the department that align with Christian Aid's strategy and systems and work closely with the Data Strategy and Transformation Lead and relevant teams to drive operational excellence and innovation that leads to smooth and effective business processes. This will include the coordination of a new PPC quarterly dashboard to track progress, improve decision making and assess impact.
The post holder may also be asked to coordinate and administrate discrete projects within the department as required such as refreshing the departmental intranet on SharePoint or work collaboratively with colleagues under the direction of a project manager within project teams. You will also be required to act as short-term cover for the Director's Executive Assistant during periods of absence and provide administrative advice for PPC staff.
About you
To thrive in this role, you will need to be comfortable with data and applying logical thinking to gathering and analysing information including the financial data required for monitoring and budgeting. You will have the ability to switch seamlessly between core tasks and project activities. You will bring your experience in creating and using spreadsheets for financial and information management, including use of web / intranet-based systems, databases, and good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. You will have a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification and motivation to work in the charity sector and international development.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. About the role
This role is a job-share working with an existing Executive Assistant who is spending part of her time supporting the Director of Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns (PPC) and the PPC department. This role entails working with a wide range of groups internal and external to Christian Aid. The role will support the Director, taking on key pieces of work, including minutes taking and report of meetings, assisting with email, liaising with colleagues and other assistants, coordinating hosted events and stakeholder lists, planning logistics, booking travel and accommodation, editing and proofreading documents, conducting research, scheduling appointments and other administrative tasks, as appropriate.
About you
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, research and organisational skills with a bias for action, the ability to think laterally and deliver results. You will have a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the organisation. You are someone that keeps calm under pressure and is able to manage assignments with sound judgement and with multitasking capabilities. Main Conditions of Service
This is a part time position. The post is for 22.5 hours per week. It is expected that the hours will be delivered on 3 full days (to be agreed) each week but alternative arrangements, ie 4.5 hours per day for 5 days, may be acceptable. Duties will occasionally be carried out over evenings and some public holidays. Overtime is not paid but in line with Agile working, hours can be averaged out over a 2-week period.
Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year plus normal bank holidays pro rata. This will rise after each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days – pro rata.
Salaries and expenses are based on PBHA’s salary scales and are revised each year. The salary for this post will be in the range of £35,692 pro rata per annum and the starting salary is £35,692 (£21,415 for 22.5 hours per week).
The post holder will be auto enrolled to be a member of the organisation's contributory pension scheme if eligible.
In common with all posts at PBHA, confirmation of appointment is subject to a probationary period (6 months). The notice period for this role is four weeks.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Head of Digital to join our Brand and Marketing Communications team on a 12 month maternity contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a newly formed digital responsible for both digital experience and digital engagement.

This role will start at a key time in strategy development and long term planning, as they enter the final phase of their incredibly successful Up Against Time Appeal to replace their two helicopters.
As they enter the final phase of the appeal, having raised £11.5m of their £15m target (with a number of further pledges confirmed) this role will focus on developing the long term Trusts fundraising strategy. As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will be tasked with considering the opportunities presented by the new 15 year organisational strategy, and contributing to the wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team plans to ensure they have a strong footing as they look to the long term and next 15 years of London's Air Ambulance Charity.
As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will not only lead on strategy development but also build and develop the Trusts pipeline, leading and developing the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to improve internal processes and influence/respond to upcoming fundraising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Trusts and Prospect Research teams and programmes through a year of maternity cover, ensuring both areas are in a strong position on the return of the substantive postholder.
- Act as LAAC's Trust and Lead Gift (£500k+) fundraising expert, leading the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to be ambitious and consider the long term funding opportunities for the charity.
- Lead the team through the transition from the Up Against Time Appeal to focus on the new 15 year organisational strategy and opportunities it presents to develop the pipeline for new projects.

Strategic Planning and Organisational Leadership
