The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

The Liberal Jewish Synagogue’s Drop-In for Asylum Seeker Families was established in June 2014.
Opening one Sunday afternoon each month, we welcome families with children under the age of sixteen who are applying for asylum in the UK. We provide a warm and welcoming space for our guests and give money or vouchers, advice, clothing, food and toiletries. We invite hundreds of people into the synagogue, and the Project Co-ordinator is expected to manage the logistics of this.
Our volunteers are experienced and loyal, all having a particular interest in assisting asylum seekers and refugees. The project is interfaith, and we encourage applications from within the LJS community and beyond.
We are seeking to recruit a Project Co-ordinator. This is currently a part-time post 20-25 hours per week, with a degree of flexibility as to when these hours are worked. The hours include working one weekend per month: setting up the Drop-in on the Saturday (after the Shabbat morning service), and running the Drop-in on the Sunday. Advance is an award-winning and innovative women-only organisation, established in 1998, providing emotional and practical support to women and girls survivors of domestic abuse and supporting women with short-term sentences to reduce offending. About the role:
Working across the People team the People and Talent Coordinator is an essential for the organisation, contributing to the long- term development and performance of the People directorate. The postholder will have excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment. The role provides technical expertise and support on Talent, People and L&D related matters, including actively supporting the end- to- end recruitment for all posts, using ATS/HRIS systems, strong contribution towards inductions and DBS checks. The role also provides the key point of contact for staff on day-to-day routine HR questions and queries, and hands-on interaction and delivery of L&D initiatives.
About You:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills and attributes set out in the persons specification. We are seeking a self- starter who can seamlessly coordinate tasks with competing priorities. HR knowledge is a bonus, however demonstration of a proven track record of working in a busy environment, delivering to deadlines and cross sectional working puts you in a good position.
You will bring operational working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, and Mailchimp. Ideally you come from or have a HR background and have worked in the voluntary sector and if not, you are able to demonstrate your transferable skill set showcasing your excellent ability to undertake this role.

You will be joining a skilled six persons People team dedicated to supporting the organisation across all People matters.

We are looking for an experienced experienced coordinator, to support the development of StreetDoctors external communications, advocacy and policy development.
We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 9,000 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 300 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. We empower young people with the skills to become part of the solution to violence by developing the skills and confidence to save lives and increasing their understanding of the medical and psychological consequences of violence.

Often the first point of contact for our clients in Lambeth and Southwark, the Information and Advice Service aims to provide support for residents who may be experiencing social-isolation, low mood, anxiety or depression. The service handles over 1500 enquiries a year from people seeking support for a range of issues including welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, advocacy, family support, disability and legal advice in addition to accessing our mental health and befriending services.
As one of two Advice Service Coordinators, you’ll support volunteers to ensure that the service is running efficiently. You will be in regular contact with clients both interested in and accessing the service to make sure they have adequate support. This may include referrals and signposting to additional or alternative mental health and social support services.
You’ll also maintain the online Community Information Network (COIN) directory, which includes vocational and social opportunities for adults with long term health conditions who are looking for paid work, to move closer to their vocational goals or consider social and leisure opportunities.
Applicants should have experience of providing specialist advice in benefits and housing, managing a diverse caseload and providing advocacy, and possess effective communication skills. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
- To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses.
- Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.
General Administrative
- Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review.
- Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings.
- Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
- Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.
